Per Green's Twitter:
Coach jackson & coach montgomery from#MICHIGAN are Coming to the house to night!! #GOBLUE!
Could be interesting seeing how he said he would be deciding "soon" last night.
I'd primarily be worried about Ole Miss and Oregon at this point.

Dumpster fire, dumpster fire, spread offense, dumpster fire.
It ain't easy being cheesy
Not to pretend I'm Ace/Tremendous/TomVH, but I believe it's down to Tennessee/Auburn/Ole Miss/Miami (YTM)/Oregon/Michigan. Tennessee/Auburn are coachless so the fact he is deciding soon may disqualify them.
Tennessee (coachless), Auburn (coachless), Oregon (not a good fit, and could be coachless), and Ole Miss.
The general consensus is that Michigan would be the best fit for him, but that something is holding him back.
There are also rumors that if he were to jump ship, that Oregon would promote his OC to HC, per agreement of chip Kelly to stay for the extra year instead of jumping ship last year. Not sure if true, but at the least would indicate that the system would stay the same. Of course, HC leaving would present a great deal of uncertainty anyways.
I'm not sure any NFL team would risk running a spread offense
All you need is one that's willing to try it, and I don't think it's true that none would. It's hard to find success in the NFL, even with a regular coach, and coaching hires are really challenging. You have your choice of has-beens that have already proven they can lose somewhere else, up-and-coming coordinators with no head coaching experience, or college coaches. It's an inexact science obviously, and there's no reason that no one would take a chance with Kelly.
I know of a QB that is a senior in college that is fast enough to run the spread. I think his name is Denard. Yeah, Denard Robinson. Most say he's not big enough to be an NFL QB, but I think he'd be a better investment than Sanchez, Tebow, Matt Flynn or many others. Who's with me?
Yes, because with only moderate to midling success running the spread in college against teams with a pulse on defense makes him a great candidate to do so in the NFL. Love the kid as a person and as an athlete, but an NFL QB, no matter the system, he is not. An NFL player at another position, he most certainly can be.
Michigan does not run the spread. When RR was here they did and Denard had great success. Its why he has a legit shot at being the most successful eunning qb of all time. Since Hoke has gotten here that is not the spread.
BEAT OHIO
Um 7-5 was the best year RR and Denard put up together I wouldn't call that great success
Another one of those people who doesn't understand that there is more involved in football than a qb. You realize that denards best year with RR and having a 7-5 year might also be tied to...oh I dunno, a defense that got ran over by peewee teams?

if an NFL team ran a read-option spread with Denard Robinson at the helm.
While I am not confident that he would succeed, I would watch and savor every snap this kid gets in the NFL if he were to get a shot to be a QB.
As much as a hate Tebow, If I was running an NFL spread offense I'd take him in a second over Denard.
Great kid, can't throw well enough for Kelly's system which does not rely heavily on the qb to run, but instead to be mobile enough to take off when appropriate.
BILG
He turned down an offer from Tampa last season, so there's one.
There's been lots of talk about sanctions possibly hitting Oregon and Chip making the jump to the NFL
If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
Cleveland Browns fan here. LOTS of rumors floating around C-Town that Kelly will be the next coach once we rid ourselves of the NFL's version of Kirk Ferentz. Word has it that the new owner Haslam wants to make a splash with his first HC hire, not afraid to take risks, has the money, and doesnt want an NFL HC re-tread.
That sure sounds like Kelly to me.
NFL head coaching hires are often jokes. Like you mentioned, your only choices are out of work NFL guys who failed elsewhere or good coordinators who have little to no leadership/management experience of that magnitude. Kelly would be an interesting hire.
The word is that he would prefer to play football in the South, which is why Ole Miss is in the conversation, but Michigan definately looks like the better place for him to showcase his talent.
"...what do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"

"Tennessee, Auburn, Oregon, Ole Miss"
I would like to think the list is really just Oregon and Ole Miss, given the tire fires that Tennessee and Auburn are right now.
Midwestern born and raised ... now living in the heat of the Arizona desert
Lot of talk about Oregon being coachless I.e. chip Kelly going pro... Lot of empty and hot seats in the NFL.
Or Philadelphia with Vick (if healthy). There's two right there he would fit in. I doubt he stays at Oregon.
I honestly think Saban is out after this year at alabama. Gonna give it another shot in the NFL. Maybe going to coach the Browns.
When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....
Wouldn't shock me. But it won't be Cleveland...if he goes anywhere, it'll be Dallas.
I would be shocked if he left Alabama anytime soon. He has a huge paycheck and has made Alabama easily the best college program and no signs of slowing. He's already taken a shot at the NFL and failed and honestly a team would have to throw 4-5 million a year at saban to get him to move. The only teams dumb enough to do that would be Washington and the Cowboys probably
I would think the list is really MIchigan and Ole Miss, considering he's a pro style back who wants to run in a pro style system, and Oregon is not. plus we have 2 of the top OLIne classes back to back, and are in want of a feature back.
How many times have you been on the freeway and had someone fly by you at 100 mph then end up 2 cars ahead of you at the off ramp? What's the point? -Mark Harmon
Who are we competing with for this kid again?
