Best section at the Big House?
The student sections are the best, however, I prefer 26-28, when you are in the lower rows, because of the marching band.
Get a ticket in the student section if at all possible. Way more fun to be had there than anywhere else in the stadium.
In the student section, everything's better.
* Everybody's inebriated. As a result, everybody's friendly.
* In 2010, only a quarter of the remaining kids will have seen any of Lloyd's teams, and even then Oregon, Appalachian State, and Ohio State were three of the home games they saw that year. So the fans in the student section don't yell, 'We want Lloyd back' as frequently as they used to (ca. 2008).
* You can stand when your team's on the field and nobody will be bummed out.
* The drunker students leave early, so you can move down pretty easily after the first half.
old alumni section, you stand up the entire game. People love that spirit!
Oh yeah, and don't throw bottles at fans who may be booing poor play. Unless you have plans to become an internet millionaire with a well researched blog on Michigan sports.
old alumni section? Last year's OSU game was my first not in the student section and as far as I'm concerned there's no comparison. Definitely go with the student section and try to sit on the sideline as opposed to the endzone.
last year i was at a game about 5 rows up from the the alumni section. I felt bad because there was a family with 4 young kids right behind the alumni section, and because everyone was standing in front of them, the kids didnt see a minute of the game. The dad asked several times to get everyone to sit, but that didnt work at all.
on the same topic, the alumni must also think they were still in college as i seen several of them cracked out the flasks during the game which i thought was funny
The old alumni are the ones that tell everyone to sit down.
As was this guy, evidently.
There is no sitting. There is only standing. If the team can stand the whole game, so can we.
the marching band. Particularly, the M Drumline.

I THINK I KNOW YOU NOW! Is your gf also an engineer/drummer? If so, I know her from freshman year

yet accurate. Mojo, I assume?
No, I lived in Markley but we met through mutual guy friends and I dated one of them
You are totally blowing Funkmob Starchild's mind right now. I like it.
But most of the time, not really
I always tell people that it doesn't matter where you sit, only who you sit with.
The best section in the Big House is the one where you can see the field.
As long as you're there, it's goodt enough.
You can see pretty much anywhere, but if you want a fun time go to the North Endzone
My parents have sat in Section 34 for almost 30 years. It is not fun.
Section 1...the people go nuts
[Sarcasm]
I love it there. You can see most running plays develop and no one yells at me to sit down.
I got lucky last year when I attended my first two games. I was sitting next to people that didn't care that I stood the whole game and they didn't complain about everything like the old alumni.
Did they know how to spell Rodriguez?
28-32. that's where the students sit
This is an all-other-things-equal kind of remark. I'd recommend giving careful consideration to the weather. If you'll be attending a warm-weather game, try to avoid sections (roughly, those in the northeast quadrant) in direct sunlight. You will b-a-k-e in those areas if the temperature is north of 75F. (If it's south of 40F you might be happy.) That's one reason I'd give the south endzone seats a good mark. Good lighting, too, since it will be at your back.
furthest right student section spot
sat there last yr and it was amazing ... youre over the 25 yd line its great
There isn't a bad place to see the game, however, you need to sit somewhere where the people won't yell at you to sit down the whole game. For some reason, I always seem to be in a section full of these people.
Section 36!
