Afternoon Game Thread
Well the noon games turned out to be dogs - congrats to Miss State and whatever that team is called down south. The "best" game was Florida v Tenn...10-9. Boo.
I'll be peaking in on NC State to see if they can stay within 10 of Clemson on the road - could be a sleeper coaching candidate there. Oklahoma could be on upset alert. Bama, ND, and Wiscy should all be interesting ones.
Ok lets try again
- Alabama at Ole Miss, CBS, 3:30
- Baylor at Texas, ABC, 3:30
- Navy at Air Force, CBS Sports Net, 3:30
- North Carolina State at Clemson, ESPNU, 3:30
- Oklahoma at TCU, Fox, 3:30
- Stanford at Notre Dame, NBC, 3:30
- Wisconsin at Northwestern, ESPN2, 3:30
- Kansas at West Virginia, FSN, 4
- Oregon State at Colorado, Pac-12, 4
- Vanderbilt at Georgia, SEC, 4

I guess Hoke doesn't want Shane to risk a serious blow to the head in warm ups. Now that's coaching!

I'm beginning thing this is more the weather and bad offense in the Stan-ND game than really good D.

Damn, Treadwell is good

FSU will take care of ND as will ASU if Taylor Kelly is back. Stanford this year is living on reputation. There offense has major issues.

And teach them something smarter than chair force as an insult for Pete's sake.

On his birthday, in his home state.
On his birthday. RT @nickbaumgardner: Michigan Radio says it expects Jabrill Peppers to play tonight.

College football allegiances by county. Very interesting look at the the geographical boundaries of fandom. Someone with more points should repost this on the board. http://www.nytimes.com/upshot/

Hugh Freeze is giving it to the officials and rightfully so. They have been doing there best to hand this game to Alabama.

TD Miami (NTM)!! 6 minutes left and they've cut a 41--21 halftime deficit to 6 points.
They trail UMass 41-35.
October 4th, 2014 at 6:02 PM ^
PICKED OFF! Miami (NTM) has the ball with 4 to play. Down 6. Moving the ball.

Notre Dame looks quite a bit better than Stanford right now; surprised they aren't winning.
October 4th, 2014 at 6:07 PM ^
Yeah when I saw the weather, I thought it would be advantage ND, but it looks like Stanford is keeping it close because of the weather (mostly due to Gholson turnovers and bad throwing). I just hope Stanford can pull out a win...
October 4th, 2014 at 6:12 PM ^
Both ND and Stanford are overrated. When ND actually plays a road game they are going to have issues. Which they won't do unilt the 7th game of the year.
October 4th, 2014 at 7:18 PM ^
what teams do you think aren't over-rated?
October 4th, 2014 at 6:09 PM ^
TD Miami (NTM)!2:
2:58 to play. MU has come back from a 20 point halftime deficit and now leads UMass 42-21. The longest losing streak in the nation might end.

NU has been great on defense (other than a few long runs by Gordon) and good enough on offense. But Wisconsin is so one-dimensional on offense that NU can sell out against the run.

Just a warning shot folks - its 6:15 PM so if you have plans to watch the UM game this is when you begin drinking to dull the pain.

An awesome display of FGs in the ND/Stanford game. I know the weather is bad, but yikes that's what like 3 or 4 botched attempts.

Just another communication issue Don. We'll get it worked on next week and be better. Lack of execution.
