#1 2013 RB in GA - "Michigan is my 1st choice"
Fred Jackson His high school coach compares him to Trent Richardson of Alabama.
“If it was my choice, I’d sign with Michigan,” Thomas told the AJC. “I’ve always been a Michigan fan. My dad is a Michigan fan. I’ve got a lot of family up there.”
And more...
Thomas, who rushed for nearly 2,000 yards last year as a sophomore, has early scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and Troy, along with serious interest from many SEC and ACC schools, including Alabama, LSU and Georgia Tech.
Edit: He goes by the name of "Kamani Thomas." If that's even his real name.

Your post lacks a key detail.
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:54 PM ^
Maybe it's the 'Who Am I?' game
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
It's supposed to be like one of those paywalled articles that don't disclose the name until you click the link...except this article is free. Yay!
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
Neat.

C'mon Magnus. It's Thursday. Live a litte.

It's weatherstripping. The post lacks weatherstripping.

...my blue friend...you are my favorite poster.

little to the imagination.
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
Your favorite poster often posts in the nude then, eh? I don't know if that narrows it down a whole lot.
September 23rd, 2011 at 9:37 AM ^
this was mine in high school.
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:54 PM ^
What does he mean by if it was his choice? Is there a new rule out there about choosing a college to play for that I dont know about?
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:58 PM ^
The coaches have to offer him.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:01 PM ^
He may not have been offered by Michigan yet.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:59 PM ^
He does not have a Michigan offer yet. Coaches already have offers out to Ty Isaac and Wyatt Shallman, however, so we'll see if they decide they need to offer more RBs or if they think they're in good position with the guys they've offered early. Seems like this kid could easily be picked up regardless of when they offer him, based on what he says in the article.
September 22nd, 2011 at 5:06 PM ^
Is it ok if I call and offer him, and end this speculation ? ? ?
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
what a misleading post (...that "#1 RB" thing).
1) he didn't even make scout.com's top 100 list for '13 (Wyatt Shallman and Ty Isaac did).
2) his best offer thus far comes from mississippi state.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:01 PM ^
Just as an FYI, there are a shit ton of very good 2013 players that haven't been offered by very good schools that will almost assuredly offer them at some point.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:02 PM ^
Well it actually says #1 RB in GA. Plus, Shallman is actually in the top 100 as an DE, not an RB. Plus, he's got serious interest from big schools. If Bama now offers him next week, does that change your entire position?
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:05 PM ^
Georgia is a very talent heavy state, I wouldn't complain if the best 2013 rb in that state committed here.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:43 PM ^
If he's a running back and has interest from Georgia Tech, then he has interest from me, too.
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
Got yo back OP, no offer yet.... and he is visiting thhis weekend. All there chief???
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
He's so damn good that he just goes by Thomas. Hell yeah!
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:02 PM ^
September 22nd, 2011 at 1:57 PM ^
That's the best part, he has NO name!
September 22nd, 2011 at 3:24 PM ^

I've been through the desert on a HORSE with no name . . .
(it felt good to get out of the rain)
PS - no need to point out that the song sucks, I'm totally aware! ;)

Trying to be elusive more than fast, but not shying away from contact, also fast enough to get to the outside edge and turn the corner. The video makes him look a bit slower than I'm sure he really is, I wonder what his fake 40 time is...
September 22nd, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
Hopefully his fake 40 time will be even lower his junior year.
September 22nd, 2011 at 3:44 PM ^
But he reminds me of a taller Mike Hart. Seems to break a lot of tackles and doesn't have great speed but picks a hole and hits it quickly.
September 22nd, 2011 at 4:14 PM ^
Bitch. Get off me.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:19 PM ^
September 22nd, 2011 at 5:40 PM ^
Hoke did mention that he likes to take at least 1 RB in every class. We might have room for two, but that is just a guess without looking at other positions.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:21 PM ^
Here I have finally found the infamous "player to be named later". We need this kid. Whoever he is
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:22 PM ^
I don't rememeber Michigan signing a Georgia player since Carlos Brown. It would be great to get a pipeline to that talent rich state.
September 23rd, 2011 at 12:44 AM ^
Carlos Brown, David Cone, and Jeremy Ciulla all came in within a couple years of each other. None the last 4 years or so.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:30 PM ^
AHHAAH I LOVE how he used that track for his highlight reel music.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:32 PM ^
He seems to be a pretty good back although a lot of those teams he played against in this highlight video can't tackle for shit. He does appear to possess some very good talents at his position. Seeing some of those Wing T formations brings me back to the HS days when we ran that offense my freshmen year.
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:34 PM ^
Need moar Thomas's (or whatever the plural is for that)
September 22nd, 2011 at 2:49 PM ^
es I believe. I hate that rule.
September 22nd, 2011 at 4:16 PM ^
Why do you hate the rule? How else would you say it?
September 22nd, 2011 at 4:46 PM ^
Pretty sure it's Thomasi

if you're going to teach, please teach correctily. The future of our nation depends on it:
Corrected: Thomas'
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
If you're going to spell correctily, please spell it correctumly.
Also, although there is some debate on this, I think the most common thinking is that singular plurals are always 's. So it would be Thomas's.
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
Somebody can correct me if this is wrong, but as I recall, it is only permissible to omit the "s" and go with merely the apostrophe when forming the possessive of proper names or when using words or phrases that, for whatever reason, wouldn't take the "s" anyway. Everywhere else, "'-'s" is correct.
My wife is the English teacher, but alas, the house copy of "The Elements Of Style" was once used as a testing bed for various Caryola products by my daughter, so portions of it are difficult to reference.
September 22nd, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
Elements of Style birthday present! She'll love it!
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
September 22nd, 2011 at 11:35 PM ^
Well, no, because "Thomases" is plural. So then it would follow the rules of plural nouns, yes?
