Except we didn't. How many times did they say that we won in 2012 with no TDs and four FGs? Math fail all around.

Tongue kiss Sgt Barnes immediately following a battle in which he had chewed his way through a 1,000 dead VC than watch Michigan Football today.  And I'm straight and not even a little bi-curious.

War is terrible, Michigan Football is Hell.

Nothing. The Regents have broken down, and no one is going to remove Brandon from the AD.

Then make a deal...!

What kind of a deal?

A DEAL deal.....business is business, right?

The 'leaders and best' has become an oxymoron.  As leaders we have a 'yes sir' as our head coach and a 'pizza guy'  with an ego as our AD!

Great, physical practices, where we practiced hard and with a big physical component, where we looked forward to a big, hard-nosed physical game against the Spartans.  I was very pleased with how physical the practices were, and I'm also glad that we had not just one, but two weeks of physical practices.  The practices were great.

Never been more frustrated.  Turn the team over to Shane and prep for the future. But what does that mean when Hoke is gone and the transfers start? Michigan has to land a big name what ever it takes, are there any out there w/ interest? I have a nine year old that's an M fan by default but I'm not holding him to that. How could I, his experiences are basically all negative. I just want to be competitive at this point and that's about as low as ones expectations can be set.

I was kind of wondering what Hoke was saying to Dantonio when they shook hands at the end of the game. I have to think it was something along the lines of "So I guess this is the last time we'll be meeting like this."

I could handle losing or maybe not kicking ass, but we look clueless and lost.  We are embarassing not because of wins and losses but because of our lack of organization

It is difficult enough to stomach a loss to MSU, but the fact that the last two seasons the game hasn't even been competative is just sickening. It's pathetic.

Is Herman at OSU a legit possibility? I know there's no HC experience but they run an organized and efficient offense. He has Midwest ties and it seems like there are no glaring red flags about him. I know people might have someone else as their favorite but I'm just curious how serious of a contender he might be. Anyone else's thoughts?

One of the saddest things about the past two years is that, historically, even when we were clearly the superior team (which we usually were), Sparty usually put up a fight and made it a competitive game. And you kind of respected them for that. We just rolled over and played dead today and last year. No chance at all of winning. Pathetic stuff.

for most of the first half. Giving up a TD on the last drive of the 1st half was a killer. But without some life from the offense, the defense couldn't keep it up.

Michigan 1st half drives:

4 plays, 17 yards, punt, 2:01, 0-7

1 play, -9 yards, fumble, 0:07, 0-7

9 plays, 25 yards, punt, 5:46, 0-7

3 plays, -3l yards, punt, 1:43, 0-7

3 plays, 0 yards, FG, 0:48, 3-7

At that point, MSU had a 2:1 advantage in ToP. And Michigan had gained all of 2 net yards. Any defense would be hard pressed to keep up the fight in that situation.

Of the 8 Regents, 2 are Republican, 6 are Democrats. David Brandon is a Republican. Politics as usual in Ann Arbor? GOD DAMNIT I HOPE SO.

Maybe Denise Illitch can get Brandon a pizza gig again? Or maybe Michigan Governor (and alum) Rick Snyder wins his re-election campaign and needs to fill a high profile spot on his staff.

I'm convinced Hoke is done at the end of the season to save $1 million, but my biggest fear is Brandon somehow survives. Schlissel's statement at the last Regents meeting makes me think that Brandon is also gone but I guess you never know.

roster with talent, experience and maturity. The D loses Taylor, Clark and JMFR - but gains Peppers, Taco and Gedeon in their place. That's manageable if the DL gets more powerful in the offseason (they were pushed all over today). Mone, Glasgow, Henry, Wormley all have 2+ years. The O loses DG and likely Funchess - gains Drake, Mo, Bunting, Isaac. QB is a black hole. Simply need a coach who can shape a competent O and create ore edge on D. Optimistic about a turnaround with the right leader.

Gardner is broken. Critically broken. Congratulations on making me care less about Michigan football than 2008. Strong work.

no quarterback controversy, but it also has no QB on the field.  DG tough kid, great leader, good kid - just not a QB at the D1 level. His athleticism allowed him to get by in high school, i.e. poor mechanics, pressing into poor decisions etc.  But he can't/couldn't get away with it in college. He has not improved since taking the reigns - regardless of who's coaching.

Yes, these guys work hard and still have nothing to show for it - that's on Hoke - two weeks to prepare two years consecutively and he lays an egg each time.

Clean house; fire them all.

Second-highest single season passing yardage total in the history of Michigan football.

Single-game highest passing yardage total ever and single game record for total offense.

Devin's not a scrub...he's got game, but the program has beaten it out of him.  And there is no one else on the depth chart who is even close to being ready to challenge him for playing time.

We suck, and he's a fair portion of the reason why.  The paradox is that he is also the reason we don't suck worse.

Quit the crap on Gardner.  He was a 5 star dual threat recruit.  How he has not been developed has been all over this board.  Don't go there now.  We gained a D1 QB, we failed him, not the other way around.

interesting that THAT was the postgame writeup...there were plenty of storylines that developed.

I look forward to the post game post, but this one and others have been...lacking.

totally get it (who wants to type about a game they wanted to kill someone at?), but an outlook for the physicality or the flag to kick the kid out...

I'm addicted regardless. I just pop in for the content. *shrug*
