Well this was insightful...
January 16th, 2011 at 2:48 AM ^
no, thank youuu for the insightful commentary, i m glad u took the time to post that shit
January 16th, 2011 at 2:52 AM ^
Okay, since you want to play the "who has an insightful comment" game. Why not post this in the dozen other threads related to changing the banner? You offer no reasons behind changing anything...nothing funny, nothing with a different perspective.
Why not go sleep it off? Posting dumb shit like this is bad for everyone.
January 16th, 2011 at 3:58 AM ^
Go away and stay away
EDIT:meant for OP, replied in the wrong place, oh phonez on the interwebs.January 16th, 2011 at 8:57 AM ^

I assume you provide prophylactic advice free of charge?
January 16th, 2011 at 10:43 AM ^
The OP posts something stupid, gets POS-banged, then you get negged. I'm confused, so very confused.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:41 PM ^
He talked about MGoPoints.

and what not
January 16th, 2011 at 2:52 AM ^
in his defense, the banner really needs to change.
January 16th, 2011 at 2:54 AM ^
Yea, but there are a lot of other places suited for saying this. When a thread is prefaced with "Yea, I'm drunk, so what?" or whatever variation the OP used, it's probably a terrible thread.

Somebody lives on the boring side of Division Street.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:17 AM ^
Watch what you're saying about Kentwood man.
January 16th, 2011 at 2:00 PM ^
HAHA I think there are other cities with Division other than Kentwood.
But yeah, watch what you say about Kentwood.
January 16th, 2011 at 2:07 PM ^
The east side of Division knows how to throw down too, there are just fewer of us.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:06 PM ^
Wow...you are getting massacred on this one.
For what it's worth, this thread does suck. I like the banner - - - I think it's funny. If you don't like it, go away!
Also, to the OP, I have no doubt that Brian appreciates your unsolicited advice. Next time, put down your appletini and chillax, bra.

in fights... KING KONG AINT GOT SHIT ON ME
January 16th, 2011 at 9:41 AM ^
Perhaps this is Brian's commentary on the state of the program; it's not like it's been months since the coaching change and the search. The emotional baggage related to the event(s) hasn't dissipated to nothingness just yet for many of us. I think a parallel would be, when does the Christmas tree come down? Right after Christmas, after the New Year, a week after the New Year? Is it a matter of beliefs or propriety? Considering it is HIS blog, I think the decorum is his to determine; personally, I think the lack of change is a message sent and when he's finish sending his message, it will be changed. Either that, or he's in the midst of a bender and might not even know who he is.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:22 AM ^
I almost feel bad for Brian to have to listen to this.
This is his blog - something that any human being (in the developed world) can create to express his or her opinions and do what they want to do. If you don't like his banner, or his "whiney ass rhetoric", then don't visit the blog. It's not Brian's fault that his opinions and work happen to be so good that his blog has become the place to get M football news on the web.
Of course it's only natural to have an opinion on things, but to act as if your opinion is better than Brian's - while not doing 1% as much for M football fans, and having comparatively less insightful information to share is only an expression of what an egotistical ass you are.
If you want the blog to be different than start your own - I'm sure you'll get just as many visits as Mr. Cook. /s

January 16th, 2011 at 3:03 AM ^
...as well as Brian's whiny-ass rhetoric.
January 16th, 2011 at 3:06 AM ^
Yea, the banner does need to change. But that doesn't make this anything other than some dumbass comment that has already been discussed at length. I think Brian knows by now that his readership wants a banner change. This adds nothing to the debate.
January 16th, 2011 at 7:40 AM ^
How does your fourth or fifth comment whining about it add anything? If you're not interested in the thread, stop reading it.
January 16th, 2011 at 3:12 AM ^
I just realized that if the last 3 years have established anything, it's that any negative statement about a coach, no matter how reasonable, is "whiny-ass rhetoric."
January 16th, 2011 at 9:15 AM ^
on to something here. While there is likely some objective form of "whiny," I think it's more often used in a subjective sense.
In other words, "a view I don't happen to like or that I disagree with = whiny; a view I happen to like/agree with = reasonable."
It all depends on how someone feels about it. Then they cloak their feelings in language like "reasonable" or "whiny." But it's still subject to the contingency of one's mere feelings, which are, of course, arbitrary.

Hoke celebrating at 6:29, second clip. Love it. He looks so young and happy.

He meant Lloyd Brady...
January 16th, 2011 at 10:39 AM ^
Why don't those that dislike the banner so much just go ahead and design a better one?
January 16th, 2011 at 3:06 AM ^
Top reason to change the banner -- I don't want to see David Brandon's face.
January 16th, 2011 at 3:07 AM ^
This score still makes me happy. In a vicarious way.
