The Painfully Premature Official Dee Hart Announcement Response Thread
T-minus 18 minutes and counting until Dee's announcement.
I am giddy with anticipation.
I figured I'd start this now so we can avoid 40 new threads over the next hour.
EDIT: As 28 people pointed out below, as it turns out, Dee is not announcing until after his game tonight.
My bad.

I thought he was announcing after his game today? Did you not get the memo?
October 8th, 2010 at 7:36 PM ^
I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
He's not announcing until after his game tonight...it was pushed back
October 8th, 2010 at 11:48 AM ^
I think this is a clear case of premature e-post-ulation.
October 8th, 2010 at 5:39 PM ^
while you are typing, it tends to help with that...
October 8th, 2010 at 6:33 PM ^
October 8th, 2010 at 7:04 PM ^
Both of you could be right. Maybe he's going the Cullen Christian route with his press conference. It could start at noon but he won't get around to the actual announcement until about 9:30.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
Dude, he's announcing after his game tonight. ~9:30 pm.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
Didn't know that. Some are saying this thread is premature but you just saved my refresh key from a 10 hour beatdown so I appreciate it.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:44 AM ^
The announcement is set for tonight, not noon.
sorry to burst your bubble
October 8th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
i was just about to start this thread....GOD DAMMIT, JUST ANNOUNCE IT ALLREADY! we love you dee :-p
October 8th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
said, it's 9:30. But I agree, that this should be the official thread for Dee Hart's annoucement to keep the board from cluttering.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:46 AM ^

Shun the non-believer! SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!
October 8th, 2010 at 11:48 AM ^
$20 says there'll be 40 new threads anyway...
October 8th, 2010 at 11:52 AM ^
I can hit it over da highway. Any takers?!
October 8th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
Whoa, you hit that guy!
October 8th, 2010 at 12:26 PM ^
"He shouldn't have been standing there."
October 8th, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
That house is like 400 yards away!
October 8th, 2010 at 11:52 AM ^
I'll take that bet! *furiously starts creating 20 new Dee threads*
October 8th, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
Maybe he's hoping Dee is announcing what he's having for lunch?
I predict tacos. Because who doesn't love tacos?

My best is on chicken rings!
Those things were awesome when I was in high school. Of course I did always wonder what part of the chicken they came from.
October 8th, 2010 at 12:41 PM ^
High school lunch ladies are like the native americans. Not a single part of the buffalo (or in this case, chicken) goes to waste. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but it is highly likely that your delectable little chicken rings were made from sphincter.
Sounds delicious, though...
October 8th, 2010 at 3:12 PM ^
If they are already ring shaped, why mess with a good thing?
October 8th, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
and still clicked, because I thought I MISSED SOMETHING. doggone it, don't pull my chain like that.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
I'll wait with you. Hold my hand.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
*reaches out*
October 8th, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
I wish they would have a half hour televised special on "the Dee-cision" complete with LeBron via satelitte about how anxious he was about his announcement.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:52 AM ^
My recommendation to all of you is to stop worrying so much about where some high schooler plans to attend college.
Like Coach Rod says, worry about the players who play for Michigan.
Also, it's creepy.
October 8th, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
Did you click into this thread just for the purpose to tell people that following recruiting is creepy? Explain to me the immense difference in following an early enrollee freshman compared to a senior in high school in October.
October 8th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
Because following the exploits of sweaty 18 and 19 year college students you've never met is so much less creepy than following the exploits of sweaty 17 year old high school students you've never met.
October 8th, 2010 at 1:24 PM ^
Well, according to his class schedule that I have in front of me, he should be in World Geography right now. If he's in class he shouldn't be sweaty, so following him is totally not creepy.

October 8th, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
I take it you didn't anticipate staying on this thread for the next NINE and a HALF hours.
October 8th, 2010 at 12:02 PM ^
I feel funny, is this real life?
October 8th, 2010 at 12:43 PM ^
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 8th, 2010 at 2:58 PM ^
Do you see Leo, Ellen Page or Joseph Gordon-Levitt?
October 8th, 2010 at 12:42 PM ^
Sam's lock of the week is Dee Hart going blue this evening, fwiw.
He's blue.
Though i shouldn't be as worried/concerned about it as i am, because it's just kinda weird, i just can't help myself. Call it creepy. I don't think it is. I think it's hoping for wonderful things in the future of our football program and a young man that i think could contribute to future success.
Can't wait to get you in AA Dee.
October 8th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
Does anyone know when "Dee" Hart is announcing his decision on which prestigious institution of higher learning heplans to attend post-graduation from high school? I am anxiously awaiting this information.
Regards,
-FF

Question:
What was the last recruit that you could remember that aroused this much passion amongst UM fans and decided this late (granted this isn't too late but compare it to Devin Gardener).
I don't have an answer in mind. Some of the later recruits were sort of surprises so didn't lag like this. Others like Willie Campbell were on and off. This one has both length and drawn out drama.
Ideas?
October 8th, 2010 at 1:40 PM ^
I've got no idea why everyone's so explosively excited about him relative to any recruit I can remember. The only one I can think of is Pryor.
October 8th, 2010 at 2:17 PM ^
Yeah, Pryor's the only one i can think of, and it was worse with him i think. Main reason for Dee is it keeps stretching out and we've thought multiple times that a decision was right around the corner.
October 8th, 2010 at 2:31 PM ^
Considering how the past two years have gone, I don't care what the news is, as long as it's good news.
October 8th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
That I know as much as I do says something. I really don't follow recruiting much--I've got no Rivals or Scout accounts and generally can't handle trying to figure out the minds of 17 year-olds.
