Thinking nothing but positive thoughts. Come on Dee...Let's Go Blue!!!
September 27th, 2010 at 11:37 PM ^
I"m with ya' Lutha.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
that the fact that we're getting this from TomVH and not a link to a mod on another school's message board as a small reason for optimism.
edit: **pending some research on this Chad Simmons fellow.
September 28th, 2010 at 4:42 PM ^
I would say it's probably slightly bad news that Chad Simmons found out before a midwest recruiting analysis or our own TomVH. It's also possible that Hart and Simmons have a long established relationship and I'm reading the tea leaves wrong here.

Do you guys think that if Dee comes to Michigan and enrolls early, he will start?
I do. I saw the 7 v 7 tourney on ESPN and he looked so comfortable catching passes and using his body to shield the ball from CBs.
Come on Dee! You and Denard in the backfield would be disgusting.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:29 PM ^
I think he could have a Dion Lewis like impact
September 28th, 2010 at 6:48 AM ^
Let's hope that it's the 2009 version of Lewis, not the 2010 version.
September 28th, 2010 at 2:54 AM ^
I think with all the hard work the upperclassmen have put in, he will work his way up the ladder gradually. Unless our current stable implodes before the end of the season, I don't see a freshman ascending to the top of the charts without any game action. It just feels like there could be bruised egos if that happens.
September 28th, 2010 at 6:56 AM ^
I think RR has proven that his mantra of "the best players will play" is not just lip service at this point. IF Dee commits to UM and IF he demonstrates to the coaches that he is the best option at RB he WILL play.
A lot of people were absolutely certain that Tate would be the starter at the beginning of this season because he was the more experienced QB, but RR (wisely, I might add) went against that "logic" and put in the guy who gives UM the best chance to win. He will do the same for every position on the field.
September 28th, 2010 at 9:06 AM ^
Depth as in numbers? Because our depth as in runningbacks who produce is seriously lacking. If he brings the speed and vision Rich is looking for, then we'll plug him in and shift to WVU style running. I'm waiting to see Toussaint, I think he's the only one who would be standing in his way.
September 28th, 2010 at 9:22 AM ^
That's the problem—Fitz spends most of his time standing on the sidelines injured.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
Tom said early last week that he wasn't worried about Auburn being in the mix. And Dee already knows where he wants to go BEFORE his trip to Bama'. Looking BLUE!!!
HAIL
September 28th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
I agree with Robert. Since Dee has indicated that he will be announcing shorty after his trip to 'Bama (unless the visit causes him to move the announcement date back), I'm thinking he is all Blue!!
HAIL!!
September 28th, 2010 at 5:37 PM ^
I think it's the big block M.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^
The Chad Simmons tweet said that D Hart was originally going to commit this week. Which means he's decided to give Bama one final crack this weekend. I'm still thinking Blue.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:54 PM ^
Or he knows that he shouldn't visit Bama if he's already announced his commitment to Michigan, and hence decides to hold off for another week...
September 27th, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^
Is Ha'Sean going along with Dee for the visit to Tuscaloosa? I think I'd take every official that I possibly could in that position. Why not?
Dee to Ha'Sean: "Hey you should really come with me when I take my official to Ann Arbor. That way, when I'm playing for Michigan and you're playing for 'Bama, you'll understand what I'm talking about."
Ha'Sean to Dee: "Sure, that sounds good. But you should do the same. Sometime before you commit to Michigan, you should come with me to 'Bama. I can do another unofficial there..."
September 27th, 2010 at 11:47 PM ^
They have really formal conversations.
September 28th, 2010 at 1:21 AM ^
3rd time this blog has made me literally LOL today. I don't know what i'd do on Mondays without it.
Come on Dee, you know where you belong.
Just go where it feels best to you, where the coaches seem the most genuine, and where you know how you'll be used in a thrilling offense with a breathtaking backfield mate immediately when you come in and work hard to earn that position.
Hey, if you've got some free time on your hands, google "saban oversigning and medical scholarships" or maybe check out "denard heisman explosive dilithium" if you have a moment.
See ya in January.
September 28th, 2010 at 8:56 AM ^
Today is Tuesday.
September 28th, 2010 at 2:14 PM ^
And that is what made me laugh.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Let's hope his mom and uncle 7/10 have a big say in this, b/c I think they want him to come to Michigan. This is based on absolutely none of my own information.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:00 AM ^
If I'm not mistaken, it was originally his mom that wanted him to wait to commit to Michigan because she had been inundated with "Rich Rod is the most evil man on the planet" banter.
She has since changed her tune, at least from what I've heard. Let's hope that's true.
September 27th, 2010 at 11:57 PM ^
He's going to recruit Haha and other Bama recruits for Michigan.... right? RIGHT?!
September 28th, 2010 at 12:01 AM ^
I have a bad, bad feeling about this.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not feeling too good about this one.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:09 AM ^
Big game week for 'Bama with tons of recruits going there this weekend.
The pressure to commit will be high.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:17 AM ^
Come on, Gators - ruin 'Bama's weekend.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:16 AM ^
"I've got a bad feeling about this"...
Hmmph, surprised you didn't know that.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:26 AM ^
Help us, Obi Wan Hart?
September 28th, 2010 at 12:22 AM ^
Come on Dee, our backfield is waiting for you.
September 28th, 2010 at 12:31 AM ^
...Avatar / Comment agreement and synchronization. +1.
September 28th, 2010 at 1:23 AM ^
and thanks for pointing that out to me because i had missed that well disguised one. +1 to both of you
September 28th, 2010 at 12:52 AM ^
I just can't wait to see DEElithium in action.
Our Offense will be DD
I can't but smile if this happens!
September 28th, 2010 at 6:42 AM ^
DD will be more than a handful for opposing teams.
September 28th, 2010 at 1:15 AM ^
The less I seek it, the more likely I will find it.
Ommmmmmmmmm.....................!
September 28th, 2010 at 2:22 AM ^
... If a recruit verbally commits in October, does he really commit?
... or "What is the sound of two Dee's running?"
September 28th, 2010 at 4:31 AM ^
Dee may have made his decision a few months ago? I'm hoping he's just visiting with friends at Auburn and Alabama and decided not to make an official trip for the MSU game, since he already decided he would committed to UM before the MSU game. At least I'm hoping this is the case!!!!
September 28th, 2010 at 6:25 AM ^
breathe out. Repeat (don't stop repeating at any point)
September 28th, 2010 at 7:09 AM ^
Guys, calm down. He has dreads, it's his destiny to go blue.
September 28th, 2010 at 7:42 AM ^
"And now the end is near..."
September 28th, 2010 at 7:48 AM ^
Tom you have talked to him and his family numerous times, what do you think he will do?
September 28th, 2010 at 8:49 AM ^
that he makes his decision right after the AL visit. He has tended, like plenty of kids, to be impressed with most places he visited. It's all conjecture at this point and--more--the FATES have shown him his path. Let's hope it leads down the Blue and Maize brick road to RichRod.
September 28th, 2010 at 8:56 AM ^
I would feel a lot better if we got another visit from him, but I really do think he will be Blue.
September 28th, 2010 at 9:21 AM ^
that also comes with the educational opportunities that the University of Michigan provides. That would seem to make Hart's decision a no-brainer, but there's no accounting for the decision-making process of 18-yr olds.
September 28th, 2010 at 9:22 AM ^
The more dreads on the team the better
September 28th, 2010 at 10:22 AM ^
Dee Hart knows we play Alabama in 2012. He is just trying to get some extra first hand views in on their defense before he commits to Michigan.
September 28th, 2010 at 11:17 AM ^
He's just making sure he doesn't want to go to Bama right?
Right?
September 28th, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
Sam's gut as of today is calm and cool. This is a good sign.
Blue. Blue. Blue.
September 28th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
The fact that he's deciding next week tells me that he's already made up his mind. It isn't one of those Lebron "I decided this morning" kind of things. He doesn't like to let peopIe down, which is probably why he's deciding right after his visit to Bama, so that they get a fair chance. I think he'll be blue.
