the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

In the summer/fall of 2004, Jim bought a round of shots for me and the rest of the house at Rick's. He's cool in my book. |
| 25 weeks 6 days ago | DR |
I would start Denard. If we were playing this game at home, then it's a toss-up. However, on the road, against a team that is ranked by the Associated Press in the top 5, you have to go with the player that's been there before. |

If he's right, that's great to hear. Something tells me that, barring injuries or a miracle, we won't have much of a chance of winning our last game. |

I agree. I think the members of the MSU o-line played the game of their life against us. That doesn't happen again. |

After reading that article in the Daily about Mitch, I am shocked that we were able to pull him away from Duke. As the article stated, Mitch's dad is a huge Coach K fan, and with Mitch being a people pleaser by nature (also in the article), he had to do something that must have been very tough for him -- choose a college that was not his dad's first choice. |

Haha...of those that I have asked, at least 90% say that they do not miss the NBA at all. Other than missing the crazy dunks on ESPN's Top 10, I wouldn't mind it if the NBA took a year off and re-evaluated the players' outlandish salary structure. |

Lewan has always been an absolute beast, but it appears that he has transformed into a fundamentally sound and mature player as well. I can envision him teaching incoming Michigan o-line future stars how to play the game at a high level. It's too bad that Jake Long, while he was here, didn't have the quality of o-line recruits that we have coming in next year. He could've taught them a thing or two as well. Either way, it's great to see the left tackle spot locked down for the near future! |
| 1 year 27 weeks ago | While I agree that Morris |
While I agree that Morris potentially wouldn't have been drafted due to the strength of next year's draft, since he was not a first round draft pick, he will have to earn his contract once the lockout is lifted. Consequently, if the lockout causes the entire season to be cancelled (which I am not saying will happen, but is a possibility), Darius will be fighting for a job against kids whose last "game day" experience occurred in March of 2012, while his will have been March of 2011. As we all know, there is nothing that compares to game experience, so his lack of recent game experience compared to that of his competitors, puts him at a significant disadvantage. I am not saying that Darius didn't do what was best for him at the time, but if he knew then that the NBA season could be cancelled in its entirety due to the lockout, I would bet that he would've come back for one more year. |

Thanks for posting the entire poll instead of a link. Being as lazy as I am, I like having all of my information in one place. |

FYI, I just went on the Stub Hub website and noticed that they are offering single tickets for as low as $57.00. Some of the seating locations aren't too bad at all. |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | Size |
Thanks for the update Ace. Do you think that Chesson will (or at least has the ability to) put on "good weight", while still maintaining his speed and agility, before hitting the field at the college level? Correct me if I am wrong, but Chesson is at least a full inch taller than both Payton (6'2") and Darboh (6'2"), but is roughly 10 pounds lighter than Darboh (190lbs) and 20 pounds lighter than Payton (200lbs). |

If I had symptoms that were similar to Coach Kill's, other than being in close proximity to the Mayo Clinic, the only other place that I'd be comfortable travelling to is a place near the University of Michigan Medical Center. |

It is great to see that a team from Florida (Tampa Jefferson) will be heading up to Ohio to play Kyle Kalis' St. Edward team. That can only help the players. I have one question though, how can a team afford to travel that far for a non-tournament game? When I attended high school in the late 90s, my school's athletic budget did not have the funds to permit my team to travel to a neighboring state. This Florida team will be traveling almost a 1000 miles. |

And if Coach Beilein is able to develop under the radar recruits into NBA players, just think about what he can do with a highly rated recruit. The sky's the limit! |
| 1 year 36 weeks ago | Sounds great to me! I'd love |
Sounds great to me! I'd love to travel to Tempe in the dead of winter. Sorry to go off the topic of your post, but this brings up an interesting point, how will the bowl selection work now that we have a conference championship? Since UM and Nebraska are in the same sub-conference, if Nebraska runs the table and plays in the Big 10 championship game and, for the sake of argument, beats a 2 loss team, Nebraska would obviously play in the Rose Bowl (or the BSC title game). Would the team who lost to Nebraska be the second best Big 10 team for purposes of bowl selection? I apologize if this was already posted, but I didn't see it anywhere. |

That's a shame. Peyton is a class act and it will be tough seeing someone else handle a majority of the snaps for the Colts. If/when his time in the NFL is over, I hope he decides to take up broadcasting because he is a natural in front of the camera (ex. SNL, Oreo commercials). |

| 1 year 39 weeks ago | I am pumped for this game! |
I am pumped for this game! This will be the first of 2 games that I will be attending in the 2011 regular season, with Purdue being the other. That being said, I hope our team comes out ready to play. After witnessing, in person, sluggish starts over the past three years (against Wisconsin last year and in 2008, and Penn State in 2009), I'd like to see us put some points on the board early against these guys.
My prediction, Michigan 30, San Diego State 13. Go Blue! |

| 2 years 12 weeks ago | Despite the result of last |
Despite the result of last night's game, I am confident that our team can win the remaining 2 games and go fairly deep in the Big Ten Tournament. Heck, as well as they play, I wouldn't count them out of winning the Big Ten Tournament. This team is exciting and I, for one, look forward to what kind of damage they can do for the next couple of weeks!! |
| 2 years 12 weeks ago | Nothing Wrong |
The defense seemed fine to me. They denied the #1 option (Jordan Taylor) and left the fate of the game in the hands of a freshman, whose desperation heave happened to go in. Sure, maybe I'm jaded because the ball went off the backboard before going in, but I'm not angry about the defense. The kid made the shot. |

| 2 years 12 weeks ago | Great Post! I have already |
Great Post! I have already started brainwashing my 11 month old daughter to favor UM (my alma mater) over her mother's alma mater (MSU). We truly are a "house divided", but if I can somehow get my daughter to side with me, I think the whole majority rules thing could come in handy. I agree with you about the seal. One of my very first UM shirts was not the traditional block M, but rather had the word MICHIGAN on it with the seal beneath the word. Great shirt! |
