"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."

RichRod receives $360,000 in "other pay"? That's more than two times what the next closest coach receives. What gives?

Great points. Let's also not forget the loss of coverage on MSU's fullback resulting in the longest pass play of the game (and cutting the 9 point lead down to 2).

UM/IU hoops at Assembly Hall. Lower bowl tickets, under the overhang, made it impossible to see the scoreboard or, honestly, anything above the rim. Plus, the IU faithful are a pretty "interesting" bunch.

MSU - 55% (because I didn't think it through before marrying my MSU grad wife and noticing her irrational desire to live in EL); and
OSU - 45% (because, amongst other things, their fans poop in coolers).

Definitely a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Not only is the gas mileage unbelievable, but where else can you find a car with a stock color that Adidas would claim is maize?

I didn't get a chance to watch FoxSports1, but was able to stream the morning's featured group of Mickelson, Watson and Cabrera via the US Open official website. While the play of the golfers, and the views of the course, were fantastic, the color team of Tim Brando and Mark Brooks left a lot to be desired. It seemed like they were always at odds with each other (even down to the comments Brando made over and over again about lefties having a course advantage over righties which was likely due, primarily, to Brando being a lefty). Natalie Gulbis did a fine job and had a lot of indepth knowledge about the course and the types of shots required.

Yeah, that is an insane amount of crown moulding. Not the skinny strips either.

I was about to ask how the lawn crew manages to mow the grass on the island situated in the middle of the pond...until I saw the picture of the kayaks.

Selfishly, I just wanted to have the only kid in school to have a first name of Tshimanga.

Fowler's tee shot on the 4th playoff hole (#17) was nothing short of amazing. Great tournament!

Unless, of course, you are a teacher (which I am not, but many of my friends are)...in which case, a 3 month vacation is almost here and it's time to brag about it.

Being a glutton for punishment, I decided to watch the emedded video of Brown's workout...huge mistake. I guess it's now time to call it a day and do some day-drinking.

this sucks. While it is alway nice to see us in the final group for these top tier athletes, my mental and physical health definitely takes a little bit of hit each time they choose another school. Oh well, I guess that's part of being a diehard sports fan.

A Maryland kid wearing Michigan gear is never a bad thing. It's even better when the kid is a stud football player at DeMatha.

I cannot recall exactly where I was at the time (I have to believe it was somewhere deep in Nascar country), but I witnessed several impatient adults decide that, in lieu of waiting for the portajohns to become unoccupied, they would use instead use coolers in which to relieve their internal "baggage". Needless to say, the site of this was bad, but the resulting smell was even worse.

It's been 17 years already. Wow, I feel old. Thanks for that. Now, get off my lawn.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT perform a Google image search of the words "POV" and "conflated". You will end up getting some very suspicious looks from those in the tech department and it could cost you your job.

Absolutely! A true pocket passing gunslinger with the ability to make all of the throws with both arms and who can make you miss with his legs. Sounds great to me!

I've used Yahoo! in the past and, based on my early exits each year, I think I'm going to go with umbig11's simulation results this year.

While Malzone is only a freshman, he is a winner and will do whatever it takes to win. Sure, Speight's height gives him an advantage, but Malzone just seems to have it. Much like that Brees fellow.

The White fumble-td was an atrocious call, but the no-call on the Desmond Howard trip is right up there since (a) it cost us a W against Sparty and (b) it happened on our own field.

Whatever the point of the question was (if any), it sure made for one of the best responses that I've read in quite a long time.
|40 weeks 2 days ago||Interview||
I've conducted various interviews of applicants of the law school I attended, but never undergrad. I've always believed that the main goal of each interview was to determine what skills and attributes the applicant possessed that are unique and valuable, and which will likely be of great benefit to the school. My first few questions usually focus on the non-academic background of the applicant, in an attempt to understand where the applicant is coming from, and then I delve into what the applicant feels will be the greatest benefit from receiving a degree from this institution and what obstacles (other than admittance) the applicant feels will need to overcome in order to be successful at the school.

This can only help with Harbaugh's future recruiting efforts. Plus, maybe Suh can help our d-line bring some nastyness next season.

Your boy Darryl reminds me of this cat named Fleming I went to UM with. Kid loved his weed. He would smoke it practically everyday...and when his boys would come up from some suburb an hour north of Detroit, that's when things would get CRAZY!
|40 weeks 3 days ago||Draw||
Man, if I was a high school quarterback being recruited by Harbaugh, it would have to take some extraordinary circumstances for me not to commit...immediately. I simply cannot think of a better college coach to prepare a QB for success at the collegiate and professional level than Harbaugh. Plus, as Winston and Petty point out, the facilities we have to offer are second to none.

Ugh, that Dawson throwdown has been scorched into my memory...and I have my wife (a Spartan Alum) to thank for that. She made it a point on more than one occassion to show me replays of just how amazing that dunk was.
