It's just business as usual at this point. The NCAA can't stop it and it's against their financial interest to try.

I doubt Michigan is 100% clean, but they're certainly not paying out like Georgia, Bama, Tennessee, and OSU. Just look at what most of our players are driving compared to the link Brian posted the other day of all the Bama players and their brand new cars. Not a lot of Michigan players showing up to team meetings in brand new 350Zs (cough Terrell Pryor). Instead they're cruising around A2 on Vespas and driving for Uber. Go listen to that Ron English interview with Sam Webb if you wanna hear it from a coaches mouth. 

If the FBI got involved, SEC football wouldn't be able to function--because basically every team would be exposed--and to follow precedent, they would be have to ban them from post season play. That's a lot of lost revenue and bad for business. 

We should all be in favor of paying players because it's not only fair, but allows schools like Michigan (and much of the B1G) to recruit on a more level playing field.

Yeah but it's fucking bullshit. What pisses me off is that if I win money at a casino which is kind of a lucky gift in my own opinion, I have to pay taxes on it. I could care less that these kids get the money but it's the concept and fact that nothing is done about it. Do the investigations and lie about it at least. Say you found nothing only to further cement the claim by many like myself that you are a bunch of worthless pieces of shit. I'm a fucking working American breaking my back and I pay taxes on every penny I make. If I don't, the consequences are not in my favor one bit. As a matter of fact, they are very harsh. So how in the fuck do I pay taxes with every other tax paying American and put food on their family's plates and in their own pathetic mouths to not have them lift a finger and show some effort into exposing this. I pay your fucking wage or salary to do your god damn job and not to be a bunch of incompetent fucks. God Bless America and Merry Xmas to all!

With the multibillion dollar industry that the college football has turned into, (O$U is estimated to be a billion dollar franchise), what if these programs were to lose their tax exempt status?  
 

The IRS should pull a Capone on these schools (especially in the South) and see if they were properly taxed for the benefits they receive.

Dude, it's fucking sickening to hear such a rant about roughly a dollars worth of lost taxes in the face of the obscenity of corporate welfare, as well as them frequently not paying the criminally low tax rates they do have and the crime of lowering the tax rates on the wealthy and capital gains to crippling levels that have destroyed the county and the lives of hundreds of millions.

My god if you want to bitch about something sports related along these lines talk about robbing the people to build pro stadiums with tax money for billionaire owners who also steal half the money from the players and double the costs to fans for tickets, parking, food and merch by their very existence as the parasites they are in what should be player owned teams and leagues.

We just can't let go of slavery in this shithole tin pot DICKtatorship in every sneaky little way the despicable masters can get away with.

I know, Harbaugh stinks. I would rather have the coach who went 5-7 and got blown out by powerhouses Vandy and Mizzou than the guy who has won double digit games 3/4 years.

Brian, Seth, mods in general; What is it going to take to have a way to ban (and keep them banned) fuck wits like this, who only exist here to agitate people. It's super annoying, and absolutely impacts how much I read the blog anymore. It's a generally miserable read (the message board) for quite a while now, and only getting worse.
