I may be alone here, but it feels like this controversy has increased the odds of Harbaugh staying at Michigan until retirement.  His soul feeds on the Us Against the World mentality.  Beautiful to see the galvanization of the fan base, the students, the alum, Santa MF Ono, the coaches, the Team, The Team, The Team, and even late-to-the-party Warde.  Harbaugh secretly loves this.  All the great ones work hard to manufacture motivation.  It’s Michigan vs EVERYBODY and everybody keeps manufacturing motivation for us.

The REAL question:  Who's still paying Bobby Bonilla?

I think it’s a great way to start a league bc the local fans are somewhat emotionally connected out the gate.

Free agency for local talent could almost function like NFL Restricted Free Agency... give the hometown team the offer to match any offer.  If they choose not to, then they can move on.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for MGoBlog but I must satisfy my thirst for ALLLLLLL the content.   Any opinions on Maizenbrew or GBMWolverine?

I count at least 4 QBs that Jake Rudock should've made this list over.

I like his film a lot. …

I like his film a lot.  Running style reminds me a little of MJD (a few inches taller than MJD though).  He has really good top end speed for as stocky as he is.

I live in Jacksonville, FL. …

I have lived in Jacksonville, FL for 5 years now.  Surprisingly I have liked it a lot more than I ever anticipated.  I've lived in OH, KY, GA, SC, and now FL.  I prefer Jacksonville to anywhere else I've been.

the pros:  No state tax, Good weather (sometimes humid), Cost of Living & Housing (Affordable to live near the beach), traffic is not bad at all, close enough (2.5 hours) to go to Disney or Universal Studios any weekend, decent airport close, cruises go out of jacksonville often so you can find them pretty cheap.

the cons:  Jacksonville is the largest land mass city in the US so it is REALLY spread out.  But this is a pro to me because there are like 4 cities in one.  I live at the beach and it is like it's own little world.  road conditions are rough and they are ALWAYS working on them (See "no state tax" / not that Michiganders don't know the sorrows of bad roads).  Just like any big city, there are certain parts of town with higher crime rates than others.  Dtown is not great but Shaad Khan has been fixing it up piece by piece since he bought the jags.

All these guys who were so…

All these guys who were so close to Saban (Smart, Pruitt, etc) pulling in great classes.  Makes ya wonder.

this is like the real life Varsity Blues story.  just substitute the Lance injury with the Rattler bathroom BJ.

I'm not sure the QB style…

I'm not sure the QB style/talent differential really matters when there are wide open 8 yard crossing routes that run 40 yards after the catch.

The best thing we have going for us....

...John Beilein with less than 48 hours to prepare. There’s not a better coach out there in those circumstances. Our team will be more mentally prepared for their opponent

When Z’s eligibility is up....

Can he play CB? Damn he’s quick

Final 4 Bound!!!!!!!!!

No mention of Juwan Howard?

Surprised his name isn’t being tossed out there.

I played football collegiately, coached collegiately, and coached 6 years in high school.

High school kids (and most collegiate players) do not high point the ball as consistently as Bell.

Also impressed with his adjustments to the ball in the air.  This is a very good get.

And his name shall be called...

Dylan McCaffrey

Feet and vision

Kid has phenomenal feet in the pocket and seems to always have his eyes downfield!

Speight

It seems like he has been gun shy since getting hurt last year. The balls coming out high are no coincidence. He is constantly throwing off his back foot and/or short arming balls.

Camps

Most college track teams have camps.  Generally it will cost $ for them to go but its well worth the exposure.  Beyond that I hate to promote AAU anything but it is a good way to get your really great athletes on a national stage.

you might as well

rename it the Austin Jackson/Brett Gardner league

I played RB/LB in high school.  Had 1500 yds and 27 TDs in 7 games as a senior in 2000.  As a white RB, I did what most white RBs (not named McGuffie or Shallman) do and took a football scholarship to play defense at a small 1AA college.  Played all four years in college, started 3, moved from starting FS as a Soph to starting SS as a Junior and starting OLB as a senior.  I graduated and was a Graduate Assistant for one year.  I followed that up by working on films doing sports stunts and choreography (We Are Marshall, Leatherheads).  Eventually found my way back to coaching and took a DC job at a high school in Georgia, where I've been for the past 3 years.  Currently working on my Masters.

I'm worried that this

is another Pouncey-like recruitment.  Meyer told him to say he was a life long FSU fan to look like a big win for UF.  With his best friend and godfather's son committed to Ohio, I really hope this all isn't a ploy for Meyer to make a recruiting statement.  Too many things are going well right now.  I'm officially in Paranoid Lloyd mode.

was Charlie Strong his recruiter?

i'm pretty sure Denard was recruited as a DB at Florida.  this would leave room to assume that someone other than urban was recruiting him.  its safe to assume that urban was much more involved in the recruitment of QBs.  After seeing the recent recruiting success of Charlie Strong at Louisville(of all places) it leaves me to wonder.

Does anyone know

the title of the book?

Michigan Fan in SEC country

Saban is to defense as Rodriguez/Meyer are to offense.  I have friends throughout the college coaching ranks that all study his philosophies.  Most, if not all, have something in their gameplans that is Sabanesque.  Any amount of time picking Saban's brain is time well spent.  As a defensive coordinator myself, I would kill to be a fly on the wall of that film room.  Mattison/Saban = the Aristotle/Plato for meatheads.

How about...

Burrested Development - for Plaxico's return season lol

As frustrating as it is...

I believe Darius is going to do whatever John Wall tells him to do.

i'm indifferent.

Oh how I hate Ohio State, but right now I think the B1G needs ying AND yang.

all speculation...

But of the 6 recent choices I will rank them:

1. Gruden

2. Stoops

3. Orange and White Housecat (if he graduated from Michigan)

4. Hoke

5. Orange and White Housecat (if he is a she, has been spayed, didn't go to UM and while I'm at it let's throw in some rabies)

6. Les Miles

oh twitter...

*sigh* Twitter makes my head asplode.  More rumor mongering.  Not sure what to think.

Les Miles is the laughing

Les Miles is the laughing stock of the SEC.  He took over a team once removed from a national championship (and loaded from freshmen to senior class with top tier talent).  This is not the move to unite the fanbase.  We are just adding gas to the "Michigan Man" fire.  Coaches who don't have the right lineage are going to be afraid to come here from this point forward.  Fans who didn't graduate from Michigan are going to do the same.  For a former CEO this sure doesn't seem like a hire to help our national brand.  All that to say I would keep RR over Miles anyday.

the "who the hell is jim harbaugh" comment was a joke.  Sorry for posting something worthy of being mgopoint raped.

Who in the hell is Jim Harbaugh???

is Urban Meyer...

...the Brett Favre of coaches?

how about former recruits on the roster?

Looks like UNC is all but guaranteed the hammer.  When it comes down do we have any shot at Mywan Jackson?
