Kid's arm has some pep to it!

what I noticed - he throws it far so effortlessly. He looks like pretty damn good raw material for Coaches Harbaugh and Hamilton. Betting that Pep can give him some more pep!

VERY nice accuracy and good mechanics, especially when throwing across his body. Good find.

Doyle Rules

Fox Sports filmed the game?

I think it was a game that ESPN U covered.

I hope he can escape and make plays when the pocket breaks down. That's what wins games. No f'ing statues back there. I want Baker Mayfield types. A guy that can kill with his arm or legs

give me Josh Rosen with Michael Vick's legs everyday of the week!!!

Every HS QB you see highlight clips of looks about the same to me, maybe I just don't have a good enough trained eye.

You want to look at Arm Strength, pocket presence like is he keeping his head downfield , foot worm, arm mechanics, and touch
September 25th, 2017 at 12:19 PM ^
Gotta watch for that - definitely don't want a recruit with foot worm. Or any other worms for that matter.
September 25th, 2017 at 12:45 PM ^
Don't do a GIS for "foot worm". Definitely not during lunch.

one big thing visible in HS games is arm strength. do they have to wind up and put their whole body into it to throw a 30 yard pass, or can they basically flick their wrist?
you can also tell if they are throwing lasers vs high arc passes. some situations require touch, but you can generally figure them out.

Just a question but why hasn't there been a hello post on the front page?
September 25th, 2017 at 12:25 PM ^
Because he wasn't even on Michigan's radar until a week or so ago so I assume the MGoBlog the staff knew little about him and didn't have a Hello post ready to go.

wow, he looked really sharp, and that was just a one game highlight against a top team
September 25th, 2017 at 11:20 AM ^
Watched most of it and i only seen 1 bad desicion out of the lot. He had some dime dropping throws in tight coverage multiple times. Impressive.

You expected to see a bunch of bad decisions on the highlights of his completed passes?
September 25th, 2017 at 11:34 AM ^
Kid has phenomenal feet in the pocket and seems to always have his eyes downfield!
September 25th, 2017 at 11:39 AM ^
Thats all I care about, feet, vision, arm strengh, those dont win games
September 25th, 2017 at 12:46 PM ^
His mechanics seem a bit janky to me though.
Also, the opposing team in the first part of the tape seems terrible.
September 25th, 2017 at 1:27 PM ^
Wish these highlight films would include all pass attempts. Everyone seems accurate when they complete 100 percent of passes shown.

Agree with most of the sentiments so far. This young man has a very compact and smooth throwing motion (in contract to Joe Milton's throwing motion). I think Milton has a stronger arm but Doyle has far less mechanical work ahead of him.

His accuracy is special. He was leading his receivers just enough so they didn't have to break stride. Good pick up.
