- i bought a homeworx $7 antenna off of amazon
- i bought a homeworx $30 OTA recorder off of amazon
- I plugged my antenna into the ota recorder and the ota recorder into the xbox ( i am getting around 40 channels)
- with that setup, I am able to get a tv guide through oneguide on the xbox, it is awesome. i can use voice commands like "watch NBC" and it works fine with antenna
- additionally, XB1 has an espn app that has live espn. I am not talking espn 3, i am talking actual espn. so pop in my parents comcast id and now i have espn for free
- If i am waiting for a game to load i can just say "snap tv" and start watching tv split screen with my game and it works instantly.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
this part from that section made me laugh as well:
"Well, the trip did something else, too: It gave the Duke coach unfiltered access to two of the best high school players in the nation. Florida's Billy Donovan was the under-19 head coach. Virginia's Tony Bennett and VCU's Shaka Smart were his assistants. They probably didn't need Krzyzewski's voice, but he probably didn't ask their permission, either."
"probably" means you have no idea whether that happened at all... not that it would matter anyways.

notre dame's schedule shames our schedule... the big ten schedules are not very impressive unless the big ten teams start to become real contenders
|2 weeks 16 hours ago||no - i think golson's||
no - i think golson's investigation didnt leak to the public before completion like this one did. he was found guilty during the investigation, so then he was punished.
and the players who are found guilty will probably get similar punishments, the players who were found innocent will have no punishment at all (since they didnt cheat). so im not sure what kind of point you are making. they are actually being overpunished if found innocent.
the players most likely to return are russell and daniels, and maybe williams. i heard kendall moore is out for sure, and i assume eilar hardy is out since he was brought in later.

from what i was seeing on notre dame message boards - 3 of the original 4 are going to be found innocent.. so i think you guys are getting your hopes up too much.
also supposedly it was not really cheating (hence the innocence of the 3). the athletes were sending their papers to other students to proof read and make corrections, then the students were sending it back. they are digging into their emails and thats what they are finding. only 1 of the 4 took it too far (which is rumored to be kendall moore).

i have an xbox one for espn. the xbox one and xbox 360 have truly live espn as well as the feeds from watch espn. i just use my parents dish network account to log in.
then i also use by parents account for big ten.
that covers basically everything except games on abc/nbc/cbs. but for that i have a 7 dollar antenna so those should also be covered, although it is not yet tested because i just cut the cord between seasons.
also my 40 dollar internet package comes with hbo go and 10 cable channels (just so they can keep their cable numbers up). i can add btn if i want for 5 bucks a month, but i dont see the point, ill just use my parents.

|4 weeks 2 days ago||you realize that at 95% of||
you realize that at 95% of schools, this wouldnt be an issue, right? not because this doesnt happen at other schools, but because notre dame holds themselves to high academic standards for their athletes. I think michigan does too.
so as much as someone might want to say BK doesnt care about his students academics (and he may not), another could say that Notre Dame cares enough to actually punish their kids and give them a life lesson regarding cheating.
a lot of kids at notre dame get kicked out of school/suspended for things you never hear at other schools because the other schools would NEVER report someone cheated in a class. in most cases, those athletic departments are probably writing the papers for them. it makes me laugh that people act like this is so horrible with the other crap that gets swept under the rug, like in the SEC. Real stuff that actually matters get swept under the rug, and you are trying to make notre dame look bad for punishing their athletes for cheating on a test/paper. the media annoys me.
i was a michigan engineer and i knew many kids who cheated in our classes - and they werent athletes.
maybe you should write articles applauding the schools that actually would suspend two of their best players. instead of writing how great of a coach urban meyer is with his 30 arrests and murderers on his team. or maybe bring back the whole carlos hyde fiasco from last year. notre dame will suspend a player for cheating, carlos hyde blatantly hits a girl on camera and plays.. its a joke.
it looks bad for BK beacuse the last few years notre dame had davaris daniels suspended, golson, and now these 4 players. do you think if jameis winston cheated we would hear a damn thing, let alone suspend him for the entire season ala golson last year (who was in the title game the previous year)? people hate on notre dame but at least they punish their players

i think google already sees that scenario occurring and that is why they are creating google fiber. less internet access means less money for google and they arent going to let rising internet prices keep them from making money.
crazily, comcast actually has some really good deals for cord cutters right now. i just got 25 mbps and hbogo (and 10 channels of cable) for 29.99 a month and those prices and features are good for a year.
obviously they are thowing in the 10 channels so it looks like they arent losing cable subscribers, but either way, it benefits me because i assume i can add BTN for 5 bucks a month come football/basketball season.
plus, i have an xbox one which has live espn on it (not espn3 - real espn), and my 7 dollar tv antenna off amazon picks up 30-40 channels.
all in all, this ruling was a step back for cable cutters, but hopefully a la carte comes soon

comparing hand timed 40s to hand timed 40s does not prove who is fastest on the team. if they all line up and race, then you will see who the fastest is.
but - at least it shows funchess is ONE of the fastest on the team, and for how big he is that is very good for us if it translates onto the field.
if only he could catch the ball :*(

if you are a cord cutter, the xbox one is amazing. i do not regret buying the xbox one at all (and am very happy i bought it over the ps4 since I debated it pretty hard), and honestly there were quite a few bundles out there to get titanfall and xb1 w/ kinect for 450 (and sometimes less). That is an amazing deal. If you do the math, that comes out cheaper than the ps4 The ps4 cannot come close to the feature set of the xb1 if you use the xb1 to its full potential.
here is my xbox one setup:
Also, i am now only using 1hdmi for everything on my tv. netflix, tv, video games, its awesome. I say "xbox on" and it turns on everything thats connected to it. When i say off, everything turns off with it.
I also found free steams of T25 on the internet, and I pinned those to my xbox homepage, so all i do is open that favorite and I am working out (you have to put the browser in "mobile" so that the websites default to their mobile page and allow you to watch the videos since most phones dont have flash).
Finally my favorite feature of the xbox is Xbox Fitness. It is an amazing app. It gives you insanity, p90x, and a bunch of other beachbody and other company workout videos for FREE (with xbox live of course so kinda free). Not only that, but kinect tracks your body and rates how well you did. Then compares how you are doing to other people in your age group (or your friends if they use it) in real time. I do insanity and it brought my workout to a whole new level because i was competing with other people (and yourself because it tracks previous scores).

|32 weeks 5 days ago||honestly i dont think snow||
honestly i dont think snow tires make that much of a difference nowadays.. ever since they removed metal studs due to the road damage they caused there is no great avantage to snow tires.. in my opinion they arent worth buying over all-season tires.
i know very few people where i grew up in the snowbelt in ohio that still buy snow tires.
i am telling you, i watched it all go down IN PERSON, it was 75% the RWD. FWD cars were rarely stuck, and when they got stuck it was because people were going so slow in front of them that they had no momentum. People could not get up a single hill on the ice with the RWD, those with FWD (and nobody blocking them) had no issue.
BTW - i am not saying snow tires wouldnt have helped, because obviously they would still help, but i just feel that snow tires are not as common in the north as they used to be, and northern states do not have this problem.
|32 weeks 6 days ago||i live in atlanta but grew up||
i live in atlanta but grew up in the midwest - even if you are from the north you would have still had issues - no matter how good of a snow driver you are. from what i saw - the biggest issues were:
1) No Salt or plows
2) Rear wheel drive cars galore (everyone who got stuck had rwd - and would basically be immobile in the middle of busy streets and peolpe would try to go around them, and then also get stuck which led to complete blockage)
3) People were overly cautious to start the day, and went soo slow, that they would get stuck because they had no momentum. Then once those people blocked the road, everyone else lost momentum and would get stuck. Any road with a hill was a disaster since nobody could get up it.
I got through in decent time because i had fwd and a short ride but it was truly a disaster

notre dame recruits TE very well, every time a TE graduates a new TE steps up
First there was zach rudolph, then tyler eifert, then niklas, and now koyak
I dont remember how many years that has been now, but before that there was john carlson, then will yeatman (who was looking to be great for ND before getting kicked off the team), and anthony fasano was before john carlson. I dont remember how far this goes back, but regardless, they have been utilizing their TEs well and getting the good recruits because of it.

notre dame is pretty low on the embarrassing scale.. im unsure if the manti teo incident outweighs their APR that much that they would be almost dead last
even if they did a 0-100 scale.. they could get a 0 for manti and a 99 for APR.. it would still average out to 50%

loi is a contract, you should not be able to break the contract without repercussions, otherwise, what is the point of the contract... all i am saying that this may just be the start of february 1 not being the day where we all become comfortable with the incoming class, as they could still leave without facing any punishment (aka having to sit a year)
also, the senior year comment was an exaggeration
