Noted failure Jim Harbaugh, too hard on his players on the field, too soft on his players off the field, and just all around went out of his way to steer the 49ers away from their core values. Where will he screw up next?

I remember playing on a little league baseball team when I was about 11. For one game, the opposing team's coach started yelling at one kid, "Jesus Christ, mike, what the hell is wrong with you? We're getting our asses kicked and you're just digging it out there?! Pathetic!"

I was always pretty amazed at how great some of the live Queen performances were, not because they weren't all great musicians, but because the studio recordings had so many overdubs with so many additional vocal tracks and guitar tracks for harmonies (along with other elements inherently unreproduceable in a live setting). I always would have figured that the live performances would comparatively sound empty, but nope; they sounded just as powerful live. Awesome.

Short answer: Yes.
Slightly longer answer: Yes, about 25 years before I attended it. When I was a student there, running the ball up the middle on 4th and 10 was pretty common. Also, I would like to retroactively apologize for Gary Danielson.
I went to Divine Child in Dearborn for anyone wondering.

App state 2007. I never went to a game during undergrad because of other weekend obligations. I finally got a chance to go after i graduated. My first game was app state. Made me never want to go to a game again.
My second game I went to was Toledo the following year. I went with the same friend whom I'd gone to the app state game. When they lined up to kick the field goal at the end of the game, we both looked at each other with that "are you fucking kidding me, this again?" look.
I wish I were joking.

All I got from this thread is that I cannot call myself an alumnus because I did my first two years of college at UM-Dearborn before transferring to UM-AA for my final two. I'd better tell the school to stop calling me and asking for money because I'm not a real UM grad.
Certainly going back to school years later to complete requisite pre-health undergraduate courses at Wayne State for a career change doesn't help.
|18 weeks 5 days ago||Ha, try asking a current||
Ha, try asking a current UM-Dearborn student what they think about how their school compares to UM-AA.
"Whether you go to Dearborn or Ann Arbor, your degree just says 'The University of Michigan.' " (nevermind that it's obvious where you went when the diploma says that your degree was awarded by CASL instead of LS&A)
"UM-Dearborn kids are actually smarter because they're paying less for tuition."
"Yeah, it's the same mascot, we're just a satellite campus!" (even though UM-Dearborn's mascot was the Wolves until like five years ago)
I enjoyed my first two years at Dearborn, but I've never met so many needlessly insecure people in my entire life. I'm glad I transferred and finished up at Ann Arbor.
|18 weeks 5 days ago||Bingo. I spent my first two||
I spent my first two years at UM-Dearborn and then transferred to finish my schooling at UM-AA. While I had some great professors and classmates at Dearborn, there is really no comparison. If it's offensive to some to consider the student body at one institution to be more intelligent (which is accurate; the admissions standards are not even remotely comparable), then at least acknowledge that the student body at UM-AA has significantly more diversity. The student body at UM-Dearborn is really, really homogenous.

Considering that comment was directed towards someone who referred to me by name in response to the phrase "fringe left," I don't know why you're hung up on that comment.
I won't acknowledge the "problems" with the statistics because there are none. I mean, unless if you believe that violence against women and stalking are okay. Then I guess there is a problem with the CDC statistics.
How about instead of wringing your hands about "sensational" statistics, you acknowledge that there is a serious problem with sexual assault on college campuses? No, it's more important that we get the stats right first before we do anything about it, apparently.
|20 weeks 3 days ago||Fortunately, I'm not||
Fortunately, I'm not "sensationalizing" the statistics -- the statistics are sensational on their own and they speak for themselves. Denying that there is a problem with sexual assault on campus is tantamount to sticking your fingers in your ears and refusing to listen.
Show me where I said anyone was "pro rape" and maybe I'll take you seriously. You seem to have come up with that on your own to fit your narrative about sexual assault on campus.
|20 weeks 3 days ago||I know, right? Even though||
I know, right? Even though I'm against gun control and opposed to social programs, I must be part of the "fringe left" because I am against rape. I'll be sure to refer my friends to your posts next time they call me a "far right whack job."

|20 weeks 3 days ago||You can't be serious. One in||
You can't be serious. One in three women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime, and the vast majority of these cases happen during college. Most rapes go completely unreported. You really want to be on this side of the fence, where you're worried about what happens to "innocent" men on college campuses? How about what happens to innocent women? Most investigations by proxy side with the man and treat the woman like a liar. Shame on you.

George Carlin pretty much completely misses the point here. Rape is never funny. There is nothing funny about it in any context.

94 is a technically superior game, but I love 93 because it's so easy to exploit this programming glitch to beat the goaltender. Basically, if you approach one of the corners of the net from across the ice and then deke to the opposite side of the net immediately before shooting, you will score every single time. To this day, I'll throw this game in and try to score as many goals as possible. I once scored 106 goals in a game when I put it on 20 minute periods and played as the All Stars West team against San Jose. It was awesome. I felt like the tanks at Tiennamen Square.
