A few years ago, I found out that a former employee of my then-employer had the name "Neptune Pringle III." I emailed it as a suggestion and he made it to the final four. I was so proud.

I think he likes the lighter green better. He doesn't like that darker green, it sucks, but the lighter green is better. Gotta go with the lighter green over that ugly dark green.

We Are the World? Really? Frank Zappa had an opinion about We Are the World back in 1987: "Are there any lyrics I don't want my kids hearing? Yeah, 'We Are the World'."

Liberty Street Brewing Genius Nitro Stout
The regular Starkweather Stout is good, but Genius is a tasty nitro version. I think you can only get it at the brewpub.

"I was doubting that Harbaugh invented pizza so I had to fact check it. Wiki states pizza was invented in 1880."
So, you're saying Harbaugh also invented time travel, right?
EDIT -- Okay, I'll admit it; I failed to look at the post immediately above mine. Oops.

I've never been a fan of MIller's. I think it's the most overrated burger in Southeast Michigan. Mason's in Livonia has a pretty good burger, but my absolute favorite burger right now is at the Bronx Bar in Midtown near Wayne State's campus. That burger is absolutely outstanding.

Miller's is so unbelievably overrated -- it may currently be the best burger in Dearborn, but that's only because Howell's burned down.

I would be completely shocked if a S&C coach at this level employed strength programs with zero level of specificity like this.

Time to put away the jump to conclusions mat.
He said that sports fans on the internet overstate the importance of the S&C coach. He never said it wasn't an important role.
Anyone remember the absurd level of hype Barwis got when he came with RR? Barwis is a great coach with a contagious attitude, etc. But let's be real here -- was there much of a demonstrable difference on the field from gutting the weight room and getting all of the players to incorporate olympic lifting and plyometrics? Of course it made some difference, but anyone who was on this board circa 2008 remembers that the guy was approaching deity status. It's silly. For as maligned as Gittleson was for the mythical "eat a pizza every night to keep your weight up" dietary advice he shelled out to the OL allegedly, his linemen never got pushed around like some of RR's guys did.
S&C is important, but it's just one piece of the puzzle.

The coach was Bill Lynch, and he was running around completely livid, stopped, reached into his mouth, grabbed his gum, pulled his gum out of his mouth, looked right at it, and then threw it across the sideline.
I remember because I strongly contemplated registering "BillLynchGumThrow.com" for about 5 days afterwards. An MGoBlog member even made an animated GIF of it for me.
Also, you're right -- that was an awful call.

Disagree with this completely. As the rule stands/stood, one foot (and in his case, one toe) down in-bounds is a catch in-bounds. It's irrelevant where the heel strikes if the tip of the toe touches down in-bounds first, which is what happened on that play.

Haha, my numbers are pretty mediocre (especially my bench) and I don't compete. My deadlift was decent; I was able to deadlift 450 lbs at 5'9", 165 lbs bodyweight at one point like six months ago, but I've been nursing a hip flexor injury for a long while now. I have no idea what my current maxes are. I was squatting 335 lbs and benching 235 back then.

First Name: Shane
City: Livonia, MI
High School: Divine Child High School, Dearborn, MI
Sports: I enjoy running and powerlifting
Hobbies: Playing and teaching guitar, recording, making beats, retro video gaming
Music: mostly hardcore punk, post rock, instrumental hip hop, and mid-seventies jazz fusion
College: Michigan LS&A 2007, BA in Psychology
Went back to school in 2013 to fulfill prerequisites for Physical Therapy school: did two semesters at Schoolcraft College and then two more semesters at Wayne State. I finished my prereqs last semester, but I'm strongly considering taking a few more semesters of school to knock out the rest of the pre-med slate of classes, taking the MCAT, and applying to medical school instead.
Now: I work as a tech for a PT clinic in Troy.
