Taking the 7 PM flight from Phoenix Friday night. Will get in at 2 AM Saturday morning.... straight to Ann Arbor at 8 AM. The lack of sleep and time change is well worth it.

Hopefully Hurricane Earl does not delay my trip whatsoever, already 12 hours to Ann Arbor as it is.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:33 AM ^
...Current estimates have it near the North Carolina coast at around 2:00 AM on Friday morning.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:54 AM ^
You narrowly beat me, I'm driving up from Durham. I'm leaving tonight though, so I shouldn't have a problem with Earl.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:29 AM ^

I'm heading up on Wednesday and coming back Monday. I just moved to this area in April, any good places to watch the games here?
August 31st, 2010 at 10:29 AM ^
from the Dayton, OH area... I'm sure some of your flight times will be shorter than my 3-4 hours drive though. Distance has to go to AZ or FL at this point.

Should be about a 10 hours on Friday. We are going to the Toledo Arizona game the night before. If anyone has any tips getting Toledo tickets or parking information I'd appreciate it.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^
You live in the Yunk right? I tried to catch you on the PA post. I think you live right behind me? I'm on Mansion st right next to St Davids.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
Yes I do. St.Davids St. MGoBlog is a small world isn't it? I have to go pick up my friend in NJ for the game.
August 31st, 2010 at 11:07 AM ^
Cool man. If you see a guy walking a Big Yellow Lab and really small Brown Lab that is me.
Are you going to head down to Q's BBQ to watch the ND game in Old City?
August 31st, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
I'll have to look for you. I got victors club window decal on my black chevy malibu. I may head to Q's. I usually watch games at home but it sounds like a good crowd so I may check it out. Here's my email. [email protected]
August 31st, 2010 at 10:48 AM ^
Looks like tickets are still available through Toledo website. You can order online and ick up at will call. Parking is usually pretty easy. They have a lot of parking lots around the Glass Bowl. The ones that are further away have shuttles running to and from stadium. Hope this helps.

Third street in Ann Arbor....I have heard the band playing in my back yard for the past few weeks now.

I am coming from Kalamazoo. It is about an hour and a half drive. This is my 15th year with season tickets. Can't wait to see Brock lead the team onto the field. Safe travels to everyone. GO BLUE!
August 31st, 2010 at 11:04 AM ^
Me too, season ticket holder for two years.

I will be watching every moment from Carlisle, Pa. Flags will be flying, tents with Bock M will be unfolded, tailgating in the back yard will commence about 10:30! Go Bo Blue!
Additionally, its about 81/2 hours away.

That's where South Bend has been for the last 22 years.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:42 AM ^
I have one hell of an adventurous 10 minute walk ahead of me sometime saturday morning.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:43 AM ^
I'll be making to trip in from Chicago. Best thing about being here, is that I can get to most UM games in 4 hours or less. Every game is a road game (well, expcet for Northwestern when tailgate on the "L").
GO BLUE!
August 31st, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^
I'll be driving up Friday morning from Brandenburg, Kentucky. It's a 6 hour drive I think.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^
I can't imagine driving over 8 hours for this game. GR is about 2.5 hours from Stadium/Main and it feels like 10 hours due to sheer excitement.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:59 AM ^
That's why you turn it into a vacation. A 12 hour drive doesn't seem so bad when you get to pretend you're in college again for 5 days.
August 31st, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
pumped for us to once again be the largest crowd in the country

I seriously might have tears in my eyes this whole game.
Joy, sorrow, terror, anger and pride and glorious jubilation. I'm gonna be a mess.
GO BLUE
August 31st, 2010 at 11:24 AM ^
...or so it seems to me.
I lived in Seattle for a couple years, wish I was still there.
To answer the OP's Q: I'm coming from Chicago.
August 31st, 2010 at 11:07 AM ^
It sounds like he's coming from the deepest, darkest depths of the Black Hole of the Soul...to Michigan Stadium.
August 31st, 2010 at 11:11 AM ^
... but if I can, I`ll be coming in from Montreal. 12-hour drive to AA on friday, 12-hour drive back home on sunday.
