Calling a blogger as good as Brian a journalist would be an insult to Brian. |

Darrell Funk is tall. |
| 38 weeks 6 days ago | Wilson's looked good |
As a resident of western Washington I do my best to care about the Seahawks (I don't always succeed). I've watched every Seahawks preseason game and Wilson has looked real good. But I'll be surprised if Flynn isn't the starter once the season starts. |

Pretty sure they didn't have an 11-1 season. I think it was officially 0-12. |
| 39 weeks 5 days ago | I like it |
But it has exposed Ace as a Michigan-hating troll/mole. It took until, what, like the 18th round for him to draft a Wolverine, and he only took Campbell because he had to take a NT and all the others were taken. And he ripped on Heiko (or Seth) for drafting Barnum, who is awesome. |
| 40 weeks 3 days ago | Love Subarus |
We have an '08 Forester XT and it is simply amazing in the snow. I also have a 4x4 F-150 and when there's a ton of snow on the ground I'll take the Forester over the truck--absolutely no question. The Subaru is just about unstoppable. |

My favorite by a mile. |

The school stopped retiring numbers a long time ago. |
| 49 weeks 32 min ago | Either she's tiny or Fullers standing up-slope |
Fuller is supposedly 5-11. Kenney is supposedly 5-4. Not sure what's going on here, but she sure looks quite a bit more than 7 inches shorter than he is. She should go to the Doug Karsch school of making-yourself-look-very-tall-during-interviews. |
| 1 year 3 weeks ago | Never stayed in Pasadena |
I've been to a few Rose Bowls and never stayed anywhere near Pasadena. Also: Eugene and its surrounding towns have hotels. I went to the Oregon v ASU game last year and we got a room about 4 miles from the stadium without much trouble. |
| 1 year 7 weeks ago | Absolutely |
I'm practically floating with euphoria right now. That is hands-down the funniest thing I have seen in a long, long time. |
| 1 year 9 weeks ago | Have someone else to help |
My son's first game was when he was 11 months (unless you count the game when my wife was 8.5 months pregnant), 2009 ND (Mathews caught the gsme winner about 12 feet from my face). His second game he was 23 months, 2010 UCONN. Both games he fell asleep and both games my wife took him out of the bowl to sit in the shade. That was vital. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an understanding spouse or relative who wouldn't mind taking the kid out of the stands for long stretches. They were great photo ops, and in both games all the surrounding fans were great and seemed to think it was cool--a lot of "good for you for starting him young" comments. Do not forget that kids need a ticket no matter how young. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | It depends where you're going |
I lived there for 3 years and I can tell you there are certain routes (very popular ones, obviously) where the traffic is worse than it is in LA. There are routes where there is surprisingly little traffic, but there are some that are just a total nightmare. It all depends on where you are staying and where you are going. That said, it doesn't come close to Chicago. I did three years there and that is the worst traffic I have ever experienced, easily worse than LA and the Bay Area, two other places I've lived and are notorious for bad traffic. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | Total concurrence |
I lived there for 3 years and was happy to leave and never plan on moving back. Though I also got sick of the weather, which most people have a hard time understanding. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | It's existance is debatable |
My wife firmly argues that the existance of Delaware is a fiction. My counter-argument that I have actually been there does not dissuade her. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | Of course |
I work with a bunch of fisheries managers and biologists. It's a very heavy science field with a lot of biology, chemistry, hydrology, etc. It isn't "fishing." |

"The 2012 Mott Spring Football Scrimmage sponsored by PNC Bank" Is corporate sponsorship of the Spring Game a new thing? |
| 1 year 14 weeks ago | And think if the English did it. |
I agree with just about everything you said. I also like to point out when the "what about ND?" argument gets made during discussions of Native mascots (which I find mind-bogglingly ignorant/dumb), that if a university in England opened many years ago (or just about any other time) and called themselves the Fighting Irish and had a crazed drunken leprechan mascot, the Irish (as in people from Ireland) would be *pisssed*. The difference between ND and North Dakota/Illinois is profound and significant. Apples to Oranges, my Maize and Blue friends. |
| 1 year 14 weeks ago | 2009, I think |
The bulk of the action takes place during Y.D.A.U, which I believe works out to 2009. Good luck with the book! The first few hundred pages were occasionally a grind for me, but by the end I had fallen in love. |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | "That kid is serious about academics" |
I read that statement as a conclusion based on his selection of Northwestern over Stanford (and Vandy). I don't think that statement follows. At all. NW is a good school, but my guess is that quite a bit more than half of all knowledgable respondents would say that Stanford is a better academic school than NW. For the recond, I have family that have attended both, and I don't particularly care for either school--i.e., I'm not a Stanford homer. |

And not just that you should but that you need to. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Event Horizon |
"and the unexpected drunkenness lead to me call Comcast to order Showtime to catch the last 2/3 of Event Horizon." Funniest thing I've read in a while. I can totally relate, and I agree about subsequent viewings of Event Horizon. My most recent viewing left me wondering why I had thought it was the ultimate horror movie for some time (it's still good, it just isn't quite the epic masterpiece I used to think it was). |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | My HS used "On Wisconsin" too |
I was in the band, so I've played On Wisconsin hundreds of times--it is burned into my brain. Which means everytime M plays Wisconsin I have to self-flagellate everytime I unconsciously start to sing or hum along to Wisconsin's songs, which is not infrequently. I went to high school in southern California, so the Wisconsin thing is curious. ND's is definitely catchy too. So is that ubiquitous USC riff (not that whole song, just the part they play a million times a game). I don't like either of them, but the are catchy. |

I completely agree. Screwed me in my bowl pool too. Not to mention I hate it when Sparties are happy. |

I go back and forth between saying it like Beavis and then like the Terminator. Adi-das. aDEE...DAS. Adidas. Yeah. Adidas. |
