Harbaugh releases video of Schembechler Hall upgrades
AMAZING
We had a great opportunity to see the progress of the renovation to Schembechler Hall yesterday...like our weight room, these updates will make a huge impact on our program. Finishing February 2019 but take a look now #TheMichiganDifference #LeadersAndBest #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/hMXtqhLlDz

Now this is sweet. Those have to compare with anyone in the nation. That weight room is a thing of beauty. Anyone know how this would compare to OSU, Penn State, Clemson, Bama, etc...?

Alabama saw this video and installed a car dealership where cars are free.
October 26th, 2018 at 3:40 PM ^
But, the cars are ALREADY free. Maybe install ATMs that just dispense straight cash?
October 26th, 2018 at 3:52 PM ^
Nah, strippers with hundreds in their g-strings that the players get to take.
October 27th, 2018 at 10:33 AM ^
Now that is an idea we can all get behind
October 26th, 2018 at 3:59 PM ^
Looks very very similar to OSU, but 2 less outdoor fields in AA, and I never saw pools in the Columbus facility.
The players lounges were really cool with TVs, leather couches, video games, etc.
There's also a countdown clock to the Michigan game on the wall.
This was quite a few years ago now, probably has also been renovated, maybe expanded, since then.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
"fewer"
I had to point it out. Sorry.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
Look at that. Who's family comes from a holler in KY?
October 26th, 2018 at 4:00 PM ^
Northwestern's facility is very impressive in my opinion. Recently built with a great view of Lake Michigan.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:20 PM ^
Would be very inconvenient if Michigan’s facility has a view of Lake Michigan.
October 26th, 2018 at 6:35 PM ^
With global warming, it could have that view some day.
October 26th, 2018 at 8:51 PM ^
Nope.
October 26th, 2018 at 10:51 PM ^
It's climate change, fool!
October 26th, 2018 at 6:42 PM ^
They skipped the part showing the excavation for the newest Great Lake. It’ll spread west covering East Lansing.
October 27th, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
Cesspools do not qualify as "great."
October 26th, 2018 at 6:58 PM ^
Saw a special on Clemson's last year. Pretty impressive. $55 million and includes bowling lanes, pool tables and mini golf (they still kids).
October 26th, 2018 at 3:36 PM ^
The weight room in 97 was better.

October 26th, 2018 at 3:41 PM ^
Pure awesomeness right there
October 26th, 2018 at 3:46 PM ^
Back when Mike Gittleson just had them flip Chevy Novas and eat 3 pizzas a day.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:33 PM ^
Finally a diet that I can get on board with.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:40 PM ^
The best college experience ever would have been a freshman OL on the 1997 team who needed to gain weight.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
Purdue has the best facilities in the big ten - Also Marcus
October 26th, 2018 at 4:21 PM ^
AC is for pussies.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:30 PM ^
No 100 year old examination tables? Soft!!

October 26th, 2018 at 5:13 PM ^
PS
and so were the players!!
M
October 26th, 2018 at 5:37 PM ^
Haha... Lol... That was pretty good
October 26th, 2018 at 3:39 PM ^
I bet it looks even better when it’s completed. Those renderings of the weight room don’t do the actual facility justice.
October 26th, 2018 at 3:43 PM ^
Haven't the last 2 coaches renovated the weight room? Seems like its a story during each coaches 1st year that the weight rooms are "so outdated".
If they want to see outdated, they should look at my 1976-era kitchen.
EDIT: now that i think about it, having hundreds of sweaty 300lb men working in it probably CAN age a facility pretty quickly.
My kitchen only has 300lb sweaty me.

Sounds like you need to start a thread about granite countertops.
October 26th, 2018 at 5:23 PM ^
Granite has been a million years in the making. Since it’s a natural stone, it can withstand heat and scratches from day-to-day use. When properly sealed, it’s stain- and bacteria-resistant, making it the perfect surface for food prep.
October 26th, 2018 at 5:23 PM ^
Granite brings natural beauty to your kitchen, with each slab being unique. You’ll get a one-of-a-kind variation along with plenty of other advantages.
October 26th, 2018 at 6:29 PM ^
I take one now...I assume you are selling them.
October 27th, 2018 at 2:52 AM ^
Glad you are not taking it for granite.
October 26th, 2018 at 3:56 PM ^
May this new renovation be the creation of bringing future heisman poses, long haired freaks, belly rubs, and increasingly less BPONE moments!
Go Blue!!
October 26th, 2018 at 4:01 PM ^
The "tunnel experience" is very cool.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:06 PM ^
Holy f*ck, did you guys see all those ghosts too?!
October 26th, 2018 at 4:18 PM ^
Those were old time ghosts - all of them were white.
October 26th, 2018 at 8:08 PM ^
Honestly, it was good to see crime scene chalk outline guy up and about.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:16 PM ^
So this is what amateur athletics look like in 2019, eh?
October 26th, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
the amazing thing is there's no money to pay the players.
what a time to be alive
October 26th, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
It’a looked like this for decades.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:17 PM ^
Pretty sweet. But, what’s with “ VIP Lifting”? If that means certain guys earn the privilege to work out separately from the rest of the team I hate it. Team should stay together and you want the other guys seeing that example.
I know now they likely would use it as motivation, but I’m against it. First world problems...
October 26th, 2018 at 4:19 PM ^
Its for Brady and Woodson
October 26th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
So Marcus Ray get to use the other side of the VIP room to work on his mouth?
October 26th, 2018 at 5:29 PM ^
It's for the players working the hardest...their gift is the privilege to work out again in the VIP room
October 26th, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
Really? It's prob a few machines for the staff, AD, known friends, etc
October 26th, 2018 at 7:57 PM ^
100% this
October 26th, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
"VIP Court" and "VIP Lifting" are reserved for when bigshot donors like Ross or media flacks like Cowherd visit and want to pretend that they're hangin' with real athletes.
October 26th, 2018 at 4:18 PM ^
And peeps wondered what Coach Harbaugh was going to do during the bye week?
He created this fantastic video.
He shot this video, edited it, etc, added some virtual stuff. AWESOME!
There were actual people in the shot. He decided it'd be better for them to remain anonymous, so he did some post-production editing and made them ghost like figures.
Also, between practices, he's helping engineer the worlds largest sky scrapper.
Dude's a dude.
Go Blue!
October 26th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
Is a sky scrapper something like this?
