I'm a student that doesn't show up on time to every game. I wake up and start drinking at 8 am, sometimes earlier, and walk to the game with tons of other students right before game time to walk in the stadium right around kickoff. I've been to somewhere between 50 and 100 Michigan football games because my family had season tickets before I was a student. If showing up at kickoff means my seats are terrible now, I'll probably just go inside my house and watch us beat up Eastern Michigan on TV. I can understand the new policy, but it's not going to help me or 90% of the students that I hang out with on Saturday mornings. |

I couldn't figure out from the email what the lawsuit was actually about though. Something about distribution it sounded like. Any idea? |

They have a little different equipment. Their chest protector is different. The top is made of hard plastic and the bottom extends lower. Wouldn't be safe without it. They also wear a plastic piece that hangs from the helmet to protect their neck. The gloves are a little different, but you wouldn't be able to notice. The thumb has a hard plastic shell inside. When goalies wear sweatpants, it's not really much extra protection. Baggy sweatpants could save a goal if it takes a weird bounce and gets caught in them. |

At the rate lacrosse is growing, things could change in the not-so-distant future. Obviously we won't see NW and IU with D-1 lax teams in the next few years, but the rate the sport is growing is incredible.
Hopefully soon, a school won't need an "east coast pull" to field a lacrosse team. |

I don't think lacrosse players typically enroll early like football players. They want to finish out high school and play in their senior season. Football player's seasons are done before they move one, lax players would miss out. |
