31 weeks 1 day ago	Bottom line here is that	Bottom line here is that Nationally, this game is not that important vs. the other games of the day, or not that interesting. Nebraska vs. Northwestern the big guys at ABC Sports want more. Also, the BTN gets a few picks per year that they can go before the ABC pick. Perhaps - this is a game BTN wanted to show over the others - they knew there would be big interest in the UM side. Remeber, NBC's highest rated College Football game was UM @ ND this year - 1/2 of NBC's teams don't change - so we know that it isn't the Irish drawing the attention.

There are some very good BBQ throughout the area - KC is known for BBQ. This is one of my fav's in KC - Oklahoma Joe's. Not bad priced, can be very busy. 1 year 5 weeks ago	It's all talent and how tough	It's all talent and how tough it is to keep good kids in the North. Yes, Softball has been able to be a top 10 team for 10 - 15 years (maybe longer) but it is difficult. Also, UM had a few top kids signed to come play, and well, they signed MLB deals. Also - to the guy who remembers Larkin and Chris Sabo, Casey Close, Hal Morris, Scott Kamineki (sp?) at UM - well that was also when Bud Middaugh was coach and he was able to get UM put on probation. OH, don't for get Jimmy Abbot. There was talent here. Look at a few years ago when UM won a regional at Vanderbilt - beat David Price, and then went to Oregon State in a best of 3 series to go to Omaha. UM's pitcher throws a 1 hitter and loses - Zack Putnam. He had a no no in the 9th and went 8.2 innings with it - he's in the pros, so was their closer, and an ex- QB Richards. So it's just talent.
1 year 7 weeks ago	I have been in a room with	I have been in a room with Coach Ferentz, it was his son's wedding actually - yes Brian - now the OL coach. He was all B1G Center and on the Hawkeye team that beat UM pretty bad in A2, 36-9 or something. Brian also was recently a coach for the last few years with The Patriots. That's about it... nice story, not too much to add.. .LOL Go Blue!

1 year 7 weeks ago	My Dad and I have seen	My Dad and I have seen Michigan win at each venue in the Big Ten except Nebraska (obvious reasons) and Minnesota's new out door stadium. We've also seen UM win at the Rose and Fiesta Bowls and at Notre Dame. Since this is the first year UM plays at Neb and at Minny's new outdoor stadium, those will be our two roadtrips... Go Blue!

1 year 8 weeks ago	I have to admit, when I saw	I have to admit, when I saw "Michigan Hockey: The Journey" I was excited as I thought this was going to be a discussion about the Big Ten Network doing a story on UM Hockey. Guess, "The Journey" is just a hoops story-line show the B1G Network does.  Would love to see Red make it back to the Frozen Four and win another Championship. It seems crazy, that he has taken UM to 22 straight NCAAs, and been to what, 12 or 15 Frozen Fours in those 22 years, but only 2 Titles. It really shows how hard it is to win in Hockey Planko. UM had the best winning percentage in College hockey in the 1990s and had only 2 National Championships. Though, UM had the best team in hockey 3 or 4 years straight (95, 96, 97 and 98). Heck my senior year, 1995, UM had a great team and lost in OT to Lake St at Munn in the regional final. UM had beaten Lake St 3 times that year (including a week before at the CCHA Finals). Lake St went on to win the National TItle easily if I remember correctly and Steve Shields gave way to Marty Turco. Go Blue! Beat Cornell!

Chances of this are  <<<<< walking away with $10,000 from the craps table. Excited for Vegas - Wednesday night through Sunday. Bring on the Madness! Go Blue, beat all things Ohio (OU, BGSU, NTM).

1 year 11 weeks ago	Well, Notre Dame just got the	Well, Notre Dame just got the empty netter..... so ND will sweep OSU. Wow, OSU goes from #2 in the country to OUT of the NCAAs in 2 months..... With BG vs. NMU going to game 3 tomorrow, UM will play either Notre Dame (if BG wins) or Lake Superior State (if NMU wins). Go Blue!
1 year 11 weeks ago	Overall, I thought J-Rose did	Overall, I thought J-Rose did a fine job with the role last night. I enjoyed his insight, and I thought he and Bardo were good with each other. Bardo seems "older" and more polished, but I thought their name dropping players for each other's schools was nice. Overall I thought they did well together.  Can you imagine Mike Hart and Maurice Clarrett doing a UM / OSU football game togehter? No, I don't think that would work. Go Blue!

1 year 13 weeks ago	Ohio will not end up in the	Ohio will not end up in the NCAAS unless they win the CCHA tournament. They are in a free fall. As for the gut feeling tournament pairings. I've long beleived (even before the pairwise whcih has tried to make this process fair) that they NCAA Hockey Committee hates UM. Thus, I suspect we'll be a #2 Seed or #1 Seed in St. Paul and play Minnesota in the first round (the host) and if we win the winner of UMD vs. Michigan State. 2nd worst case - a 2 seed out east with BC as the 1 seed.
1 year 14 weeks ago	I wonder if he has played too	I wonder if he has played too much hoops recently? He had a nice run to end the B1G last year, and B1G tourney and the NCAA, then he goes off to Europe with Team USA. I think he's tired. That's my guess. When the legs start to go, so does the jump shot and also the quick first  step to get into the lane and then elevate.  He can help this team win doing other things than scoring - rebounding, taking charges, passes, and being a teammate (like he was with Matt's 3s). Also, it wouldn't hurt if he had 10 points, 5 assists and 8 boards a gama and he helped Morgan score more.  I will say, there were a few Burke 3s that just looked so smooth. He might be the best pure shooter on the team. And next year with GR3 and Nik....  Go Blue!
