Wallets with game used Michigan uniform inside
I was reading Uni-Watch this morning and they wrote about these wallets that have pieces of game used uniforms inside. Sure enough, they have a Michigan collection. You can get a piece of football or basketball uniform. The site also has cuff links with game worn materials. Pretty cool stuff, but as you'd expect, very expesnive.

WD, where you at?

Here.
EDIT: Oops, now everyone knows MJ7=WD

Probably making his own bigger and better version using old game worn jerseys he stole from a random 2009 spring game or something.
I imagine it went something like this...

It's kind of a "gift of the Magi" situation--you pay all that money for the wallet, but then you have nothing left to put in it.

Oh, Henry...

Nicely done!
February 6th, 2017 at 11:41 AM ^
Apparently, quite a few...at least with regard to the wallet with the football jersey insert. According to the website, those are sold out. Crazy.

You mean besides WD right?

The same business people that pay $4000 for a watch all day long.

What if you dropped that ridiculous amount of coin for one of these, and you got an MSU away bumblebee uniform? That would be, in my eyes, unsatisfying.

GRIII authentic tear-away addidas jersey from the Minnesota game?
February 6th, 2017 at 11:22 AM ^
I think I'd be more interested if it were on the outside.
February 6th, 2017 at 11:22 AM ^
BTW, how does one do this with, say, a #12 New England Patriots game-worn jersey? Asking for a friend, needs to move fast, no cops, thanks in advance.

Along with Bob Kraft's former Superbowl ring. Putin has an amazing mind for future value and he typically obtains what he wants.

Tri-fold or bust

orders $150 wallet. comes with just blue mesh insides, no numbers or letters. smells. yay.
February 6th, 2017 at 11:27 AM ^
It will fall apart....do not want
February 6th, 2017 at 11:30 AM ^
That's weird.
February 6th, 2017 at 11:33 AM ^
Unfortunately the wallet itself looks pretty cheap.
February 6th, 2017 at 11:33 AM ^
The wallets don't do a lot for me, but the cuff links are all pretty cool. That's more than I can see myself paying, but can see it given that you could have them your entire life. (And I wear a suit often, so they'd get use.)

It's my birthday Wednesday, anybody feeling generous? :)
February 6th, 2017 at 11:39 AM ^
I'll just take an actual jersey instead lol
February 6th, 2017 at 11:52 AM ^
Hah, what is this, 1990.
Everybody has phone clip card carrying devices now. I didn't even know they made wallets anymore.

Peer outside of your group of friends some time, who knows what you will find.

am sometimes very surprised what you have to attach an /s to these days.
It may not have been a very good joke, fair, but I didn't for a second think it would be taken seriously.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:30 PM ^
You should always include /s. It's very hard to read sarcasm in text unless it's really on the nose.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:37 PM ^
I refuse to do that, because including it ruins good sarcasm. I guess if it is taken seriously without an /s I will just assume that it was not very good sarcasm and do better next time.

NO! Don't dumb it down. You can't ruin the best sarcasm, by making it clearly visible to the least common denominator.
February 6th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
Are you being sarcastic?
February 6th, 2017 at 1:00 PM ^
Fair enough, my bad.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:05 PM ^
Why didn't they just sell the game used uniform? That would be something I'd want over the wallet.
February 6th, 2017 at 2:08 PM ^
I learned this from an authenticator I asked about my Michigan helmet cufflinks.

set of four, authentic Michigan field turf. If anyone wants to offer me a large amount of money I may sell.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:16 PM ^
for a used jersey full of wallet-shaped holes?
Sounds more in my price range.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:19 PM ^
But, $150.00. Can they guarantee me it's a Tom Brady jersey? WTF.
February 6th, 2017 at 12:38 PM ^
My wife bought one of these for me as a gift a few years back. I was actually really pleased with it as a wallet (as opposed to just memorabilia) - it was good quality, well-made, great size, stayed very flat even when full, etc. And I appreciated the subtlety of the jersey on the inside. It was a nice flash of M every time I went to take out cash or a card, but not super in your face.
Sadly, it was stolen last year in a mugging, and now the football jersey ones are indefinitely out of stock so I can't even replace it. Still kinda bummed.

I've heard there is a pretty strong resale market in Columbus for game-worn OSU jerseys and other authentic memorabilia.
February 6th, 2017 at 3:47 PM ^
The OSU wallet collection is made from the actual tattooed skin of former players who traded tats for cash. Or so they say.

the good thing about our basketball jerseys is that they would be clean, just like new...
