3 years 40 weeks ago	Mass improves power. you	Mass improves power. you wouldn't want a DT to be svelte. look at any super heavy weight in olympic weightlifting. they all have some bulk on them (i.e. guts) because it's needed to get the power to lift heavy weight. same can be applied to DT. i am sure big Will is extremely explosive and that's what matters.

He will also be 20 years old next season, meaning he may be filling out. So does Grajales cut down to 133 and wrestle Franklin Gomez and Reece Humphrey? Or does Kellen move up and wrestle Meltcalf? Either scenario is not pretty.

In my opinion, true Michigan fans should care about the state of the entire athletic program and not just about football. I find the people who just follow football and maybe sometimes basketball are usually the lowest common denominator that espn markets to. take pride, even in this terrible football year.

4 years 3 weeks ago	I disagree about Rickey	I disagree about Rickey Powers. In my opinion, he was overrated. He was a freshman sensation who never really got better, albeit his carries got less and less every year. He fumbled too much (the curse) and wasn't very fast. Does anyone remember the big comparison to Robert Smith (both from Ohio and the same year)? And does anyone remember that Robert Smith quit football to focus on Med School and there was an SI cover story about it? What a joke. The House Cat was the best I ever saw on screen plays and open field running.

I remember a bunch of people found it offensive and left. I laughed even harder. He went to Touchdown's after the show and my buddy had a beer with him.

4 years 13 weeks ago	I'm not sold on the older	I'm not sold on the older Zeerip. He looked TERRIBLE against OSU. He can't out muscle everyone like he did in high school. I'm looking forward to seeing Grajales wrestle. I think he will bump up to 141 and Russell will go to 149. I think Grajales is going to wrestle around 141 for the upcoming Daper Dan. did you know Grajales is already 19 years old? I hope he hasn't peaked. Boyle will be solid coming out of Blair. On a side note, I don't think Russell will ever place higher than 3rd in his career. i think he relies on funk defense too much. I know he has not wrestled much freestyle, but I think that's where most of his success will come from if he decides to go that route. He's pretty explosive.

This can't help, but it may not really hurt. p.s. i was kidding about the death and paralysis thing.
4 years 17 weeks ago	So which is correct??	Is it fundamentally correct to shoot hips first, or to step first? I am thinking--based on most athletics that i've played--that shoot hips first is correct. all power comes from hips--tackling, punching, double leg take downs, olympic weightlifting etc. however, i don't know what the correct fundamentals for pad level are. does anyone know?
