OT: Which player do you WANT your NFL team to draft tomorrow?

Submitted by All Day on

The NFL draft is finally almost here to put us all out of the misery of the endless mock drafts. Which (realistic) player do you want your team to take tomorrow and why?

Almost every mock I've seen has him going to the Vikings, or available to the Vikings and them picking a different WR.  I haven't seen any mocks in the last few weeks, and I honestly can't remember any at all, with him in top 10.

Ravens fan. Idea would be Ramsey but he isn't falling to 6. Bosa or Buckner would be good. Though if someone wants to jump the Browns at 8 so they can get Paxton lynch I'm not opposed to trading down.

First time I've cared about the draft in years (outside of seeing when UM guys get picked), since I haven't had a team for 25+ years. Sadly, it's hard to be excited about the #1 pick.

I will again be performing my yearly ritual-prayer for the Lions to improve their offensive line.  It will be in vain.

And please bring in someone half-viable behind Stafford, be it in the draft, FA, trade, whatever.

Not sure how people are able to identify and root for NFL teams. I will just root for the Michigan players to land in places where their careers can flourish.

As my team drafted Prince fucking Shembo and that went as fucking predictably as could be imagined. I am now just hoping for someone who isn't a sexual predator/animal abuser. being able to play a defensive position would be a plus

Hoping the Bengals get Doctson or Sterling Shepard.  I'm still annoyed that they didn't take Lockett last year after he torched Michigan in the bowl game (and everyone else on KSU's schedule before that).

Sheldon Rankins or Jarran Reed. If not them, maybe Ryan Kelly or Decker. If they aren't available, trade down. This draft doesn't seem very deep but what the hell do I know.

I am really hoping for some good early to mid-round picks, possibly Garnett, Spriggs, Caroo, or Jaylon Smith.

I really hope we draft a defensive player rather than an OT.  For one, I don't think any of the OTs that will be available in the first round are that dominant. Second, the Lions have gaping holes at DT and CB, and already have promising young talent on the OL.

a few guys I could mention but I'd love to see us take Jaylon Smith with a 3rd+ rounder, give him a couple years of rehab and hope he returns to form. He would be a top-5 pick if healthy, IMO. I'd rather take that gamble than some nobody we all know won't be in the league in 3 years like the Lions tend to do. You literally know it the second we draft them that they aren't long for the NFL.

They are saying there's a good chance he never plays again. Getting him in like the 5th round, sure, but 3rd is way too early for what will likely be a player who never sees the field.

The Bucs need help in the worst way in their secondary. Brent Grimes is not going to solve the problem on his own. I'd be shocked if Jalen Ramsey falls that far but I'd want him if he's still somehow around at #9. No way to Hargreaves. Not after Chesson made him look like a chump time after time. Sadly I think this is who they're going to take.

They also need some serious help on the DL to give McCoy some help. I feel dirty for saying this, but if Bosa somehow, someway, fell all the way to #9, I'd be kicking down the door of his house to sign him. But Bosa realistically won't last past pick 4-5.

I'd also be shocked if Myles Jack lasted past the first round, but if he's still around in the second, I'd take a flyer on him and hope for the best. Or maybe even Jaylon Smith.

Lions

Rd 1 - most likely Ragland

Rd 2 - Spriggs

Rd 3 - Spence or Oakman or Scooby Wright or Washington

Rd 4 - Simmons (S - BC)

Rd 5 - Glasgow

Rd 5 - Bush (S - Miami)

Rd 6 - Doesn't really matter.

Chiefs, but not a big NFL fan. I'd like to see them take and hit on a QB. I know this is what everyone wants, but the Chiefs never even try.

I'd also like shitheal Goodell to give them their 3rd round pick back and for him to fall several times on the way up to the podium.

As a Lions fan, I'd like to see them go OL in the first round and get Willie Henry in the 3rd or 4th. Not sure I have a preference on the OL pick, as all the guys in that range seem fairly similar...

We need an offensive lineman in the worst way, a left tackle or a legitimate center prospect in the 2nd round. Do not want Treadwell or any other receiver early but looking at our roster we definitely need one.

Robert nkemdiche offensive tackle to replace Schofield trade picks to move up and get paxton Lynch, or draft Connor cook in 3rd round. dude was never a captain, but was a winner, and Elway could right his maturity ship!
