I would expect Cannon to go…

I would expect Cannon to go 141. Ragusin I believe is 3-0 against him and I know beat him the last 2 years. Plus Cannon is older and should only be here a year.

Lamer just went into the portal himself. Which sticks. Really liked him.

Michigan’s recruiting class was stacked this past year. Ranked #1 or #2 I believe. I think they have 5 top 100 kids. Some very high. A number one at his weight a couple top 5.  Most are light weights. Might be one of those hammers take 149 right from the start.

My favorite live album has…

My favorite live album has to be Iron Maiden - Live After Death. Specifically for how Rime of the Ancient Mariner came out. Stellar!

My kind of topic. So many…

My kind of topic. So many bands had multiple singers. Other bands replaced singers. I'll dabble in both.

The Beatles. John, Paul, George, Ringo.  Pick: Lennon

The Eagles. Henley, Walsh, Schmitt, Frey, Leadon, Felder, and Meisner sang lead.  Pick: Frey

Kiss: Stanley, Simmons, Ace, Criss, Singer. I want to say Ace since I'm a guitarist but Pick: Stanley

Styx: Young, Shaw, DeYoung, Gowan. Love Tommy but Pick: DeYoung

Journey: Rolie, Fleischman, Perry, Augeri, Soto, Pineda Pick: Perry. But I like Augeri and Soto more than Pineda

Skid Row: Bach, Sollinger, Theart, Harnell, Gronwall Pick: Bach.  has to be.

VH: DLR, Hagar, Cherone. Pick is DLR

Motley Crue: Neil or Corabi. Pick is Neil but the Corabi cd and tour was slamming!

Ratt: Pearcy or Jizzy Pearl.  Pick Pearcy all day.

Great White: Russell, Ilous, Malloy, Freeman.  Has to be Jack Russell.

Iron Maiden: Di'Anno, Bailey, Dickinson Pick: Dickinson

Dream Theater: Labrie over Dominici

I'll leave you with my most contoversial pick.

Bon Jovi. Richie over Jon!

Was up last week with my…

Was up last week with my family at the family cabin. My dad was born and raised in Munusing.  We bought 5 pounds for 9 people and downed it all. So good, fresh white fish!

Dog path is good, but we…

Dogpatch is good, but we always hit up Buckhorn.  Their per his the best in town. Although it was $21 a plate last week. That hurt some.

My dad is from Munising…

My dad is from Munising. Been going up since I was a little guy. Grandfather built a cabin on Mirror Lake in 1969.  Still go up to that cabin. And I was up there when the boys were in town. BUT I had no clue.  Ticked I didn’t go into town to see the team.

Yes, I thought freestyle…

Yes, I thought freestyle match was a lot worse and recently saw it was 4-4. So that's my bad.

As for Massa, I'm not so sure about your logic. Starocci certainly got better but so has Massa. His freestyle season was excellent.  Beating Mekhi Lewis, Hayden Hidlay, and Evan Wick.  Massa has the goods to beat anyone. It's about him getting to his shots and being in very good shape.  Be interesting to see how he finishing this thing out. Definitely should have been a 4x AA. Blood round loss and a loss on the backside to a guy that went on to AA are what did it.  Hope he gets Top 4 again.

He was too small for 197…

He was too small for 197 last year.  Every wrestler cuts because they're bigger than the weight they wrestle. Myles never did and you could tell. Talent led the way to third, but in the NCAA semi, he got pushed around.  He'll do better here.

I also think 141 is too big for Micic right now. He hasn't looked like our Micic. He's smaller than the other 141s and is having trouble finishing takedowns. Wish he had bulked up a bit more. Might hold him back some.

A couple things I read. Lee…

A couple things I read. Lee is out against MSU on Sunday per PSU. He also didn't wrestle last weekend. I would assume if PSU has already said he's out Sunday, he's out for Friday. If so Micic wins there.

Also saw someone say 149 was Mattin's now. Storr got hurt in Vegas and hasn't been back out. Is he done? Team hasn't said that. Personally I like Storr a lot and he always wrestles tough guys hard, but losses by a few points. I think he can beat Bartlett if he goes and is ready, but I don't think we'll see him. If Mattin is in there, and wrestles like he did last weekend, he'll be right there against Bartlett, who is nowhere close Sasso.

Haven't heard anything about Cam. He was dressed two weeks ago when they forfeited his match at Pitt. Berge didn't look the greatest last weekend.  If they go, I believe Cam wins. If not, PSU has the weight. I can't believe that Michigan hasn't got any depth at 157 or 165. It's Lewan and Amine and no one else on the roster.  Huge need in recruiting.

I am hesitant to pick Starocci over Massa. They've only wrestled once and Massa tried a dumb move and got beat in OT. Massa won the Cleveland Open and has majored the duals.  He will give Starocci fits. Wouldn't surprised me if he pulls the upset. He's looking great.

Totally think Myles can beat Brooks. Should be an excellent match.  1-2 points win either way.

last time Parris wrestled Kirkvliet, he got smoked in freestyle.  Parris is bigger and looks stronger than Kirk. Think Parris wins but could be close like 184.

I think it will be a 6-4 win in matches.  Maybe even 5-5. Some guys need to step up. If they do, UM wins by 1-2 points. If not, will be a 1-4 point loss. Will love it if it comes down to HWT.

Go Blue!

Dax decommitted for AL and…

Dax decommitted for AL and came back. And others with AL offers like Alex VanSumeren have stuck with MI. Just because he's visiting, does not mean he's gone. Have to have faith. He's been all in for a long time. Even after the loses, he said he's all UM. Let him have his day and hopefully it reaffirms what he has always thought. UM is the best fit for him.  Fingers crossed.

I personally believe that…

I personally believe that the non-games should be counted as a theoretical loss for Wisconsin.

If they finish undefeated at 6-0, 5-0 or whatever, that ninth game doesn't get them to the 1 vs. 1 game because they caused their own lack of play. So they would be looked at as 6-2.  5-3, etc.

Which means Purdue and Nebraska get that theoretical extra win because it wasn't their fault the Wisconsin couldn't keep their shit together.

Brucki has a big injury and…

Brucki has a big injury and will not participate this year. He's back in the 21-22 season. Then it's a battle between Brucki and Garcia for the start.

I agree based on weight, Myles will most probably go 197 because it's close to his international weight. Allows Cam to slide in at 65, Massa 174 and keep Jelani at 184.

I highly doubt that Micic, Amine, Massa would continue to stick around and be 7th year seniors if the season is canceled for 20-21. But what do I know?

Some are saying All-American Real Woods from Stanford might end up at Michigan as well since they dropped wrestling. He's from Illinois.  Wisconsin the other team being talked about.

This is probably in 1997/98…

This is probably in 1997/98 in Cbus, OH. Fresh out of college there are two ladies within my work group that are super fun and I loved chatting with them. Both married but around my age or a little older. One says, I want to set you up on a date. I'm intrigued. But she says she has a kid, recently moved into a guys house due to finances, and the doozy, she's a stripper. Now I'm thinking, this can two ways, meh or horrible. But I had nothing better to do, so I said sure, lets set it up.

I go to the house to pick her up. We had not spoken. This was truly a blind date as we had not talked prior.  She asks me to come in and introduces the guy that is letting her stay with him and her young child. Boy was maybe 5 or 6.

We leave. This was in an area outside of where I live and I had never been there before, so I ask where should we go? She says Hooters. I'm going, ok?  We get there and start to chat some. I can see that this is trending poorly as we don't really have anything in common to chat about.  All of a sudden, and this is maybe 10 minutes after we arrive, the guy she lives with shows up and sits down with us. I'm like, WTF? Was this decided before I arrived? After? Either way I know this is for naught. And they proceed to talk by themselves, excluding yours truly. But the kicker is they get into it.  I can't even remember what about but they're yelling at each other.  The guy gets up and takes off. I don't think he ate but had a beer or two. our food had arrived during this and I'm like, I'm hungry so I'm eating. She decides to eat to but just complains about the guy.

I'm thinking, lets get her back home so I can get the hell out of this train wreck. I don't know how, but I got suckered to going inside. I think she said he was violent and if I came in he wouldn't think about hitting her. Immediately upon going in she goes right into their kitchen and they start arguing and screaming at each other.  The little boy was in the front room with me and he was freaked out. He had some toys on the floor so we sat down and played with them for 10-15 minutes.  All I wanted to do is say goodbye but she wouldn't stop, so eventually I told the child, bye and I hope they stop soon for your sake. Good kid. Obviously never talked to her gain. I went to my co-worker and was like, WTF. She was so apologetic. She had heard about it and was like, yeah I knew she was a little crazy. Got to love friends who set you up with the crazies...

Can't believe no one…

Can't believe no one mentioned Grosse Pointe Blank and Gran Tarino, but you did say surprise scenes.

So Transformers a few scenes from a few movies filmed in downtown Detroit.  Easy to spot.

Also the new Red Dawn. That is right downtown.  Fun fact, it was originally supposed to be China invading but the US started getting into it with them, so they changed the invaders to the Koreans. I worked downtown and it was fascinating to watch them change out flags and lettering throughout the area they were filming. Down by Campus Martius Park, up Michigan Ave.

Ah, the good old days and…

Ah, the good old days and the Great Lakes League. Bedford actually beat us my Sr year by a couple points. Toledo Whitmer was always king of the castle back then, although we did beat them a few years. Thank you for Chris Wormley Whitmer. Much bigger school than the rest of us. Although Oregon Clay was big, just not good in football.  I wrestled and Bedford ruled the roost and still kicks ass today.  Think at GLL we got beat like 70-2. I tied my guy, 2-2. only scorer.

Damon Moore was extremely good. I never knew him well. He was 4 years younger than me but his brother, whom was a LB for the Toledo Rockets, coached varsity so I knew him better.

Fun fact about Woodson’s Fremont Ross teams. They never beat Fostoria. We were very good back then.

My HS team, Fostoria, OH was…

My HS team, Fostoria, OH was good in the late 80s and 90s. Went 2-2 in the State Final. I played in one, a 21-14 loss my junior year. Sr. year we got beat in the semis by the eventual champion. Following year was our first win. We were pretty consistent getting in the playoffs back then. Now, losing record about every year. Ohio has school of choice and we have a bunch of smaller schools around my hometown. And a ton of kids are now going to those surrounding schools. They're dropped down division sizes because of it. Back in my day we were the DII. Now they are DIV. We've had 7 NFL players. Currently ex-Hawkeye, ex-Packer and current Bills player DB Micah Hyde is the only one in the league. Prior to him it was DB Damon Moore, the ex-Buckeye, ex-Eagle, and ex-Bear. Richard Newsome played one year for the Saints. He was a DB for the Spartans.

1992. in Columbus. 13-13 tie.  Never seen a stadium so upset.

There has to be a winner in The Game.

Pierce Brown - Red Rising…

Pierce Brown - Red Rising. He's up to 5 books in the series. Started as a trilogy but kept going.

Best book series I've ever read. This is kind of a grey area with your question. As this is in the future where Golds rule in space and planets, yet lowly reds terra form new worlds as the universe expands. But there are nukes and other things because this is a severely violent society that kills a lot. Reds don't see the light of day and barely get paid and are barely provided food.  They have had enough, and one brave goodman, rises up in a series that I can't put down upon starting.

I've recommended this series to dozens of people and those who read it have loved it.

Divergent and Hunger Games were pretty good series. Endings were meh, but good for what you're asking.

I'll have to go back to the original Planet of the Apes movie as one of my favorite movies. Also Logan's Run.  Good old movies in the genre.

I was at a 4.65% and Quicken…

I was at a 4.65% and Quicken hit me up about a refi. It went down to a 3.5% a couple weeks ago. I haven't closed yet so I'm hoping I can get the lower rate in or I might be looking elsewhere.

I only watch 2 shows.

I only watch 2 shows.

Inkmaster. Sure it's over the top bcuz they're on TV, but they have to do those tats. No faking that. If you're good, you move on.  I enjoy it very much.

The Curse of Oak Island. It's fascinating what they find and how they do it. I do not think they will ever find gold. But they are finding a lot out about history. And that's something I can get into.

I follow UM Wrestling…

I follow UM Wrestling religiously. Hard to know exactly what is going on because not a lot is posted for public consumption. Not even the wrestle off information was posted this year when in years past they were. So what do we know. Pretty much all the above and what's in this thread is accurate.

One point of clarification, Michigan ended up 7th, not 8th, and the BTT. They had a bad day 2. More losses than wins. There were in 6th for the longest time, but the lack of wins let NW slide by them.

125 - McHenry redshirted. Former junior world champ. Dude is a stud and quick. But he's very small. On interviews he said they have him eating like crazy to try and bulk him up. Will he be ready next year?

125 - Medley was a stud this year. Never a state champ in HS, but he has a motor and he out-placed his seed at the BTT.  IMO, if he keeps doing what he is doing, there's a chance he could place at NCAA in the 5-8 range. Will have to be a little better on his feet and get a TD against a higher seed to do it though. But Conor Youtsey did just that twice a few years back. Lack of a TD cost him in the 3/4 match at BTT against NW where he was ridin' out in TB2.

133 - Micic will be a a top 5 pick next year and a threat to win it all. But pretty much only Gross is gone.  Suriano, Fix, DeSanto, RBY will all be back. Them are some studs. That is if he wrestles next year. Threw this out on another thread, this would be his 7th year in college!! He's had 1 RS and 2 Olympic RS seasons to go with 3 AA finishes. Could be he's done? If he wrestles, it's at 133 because his international weight is less than 133. So I don't expect him to move up.

133 - Silva. Looked really really good. I don't believe he was hurt. Again no info, but in an interview, Bormet said he hadn't wrestled because he was getting his school work in order. Then he gets only 4 home matches. They didn't take him on the road. I think this was a disservice and ended up costing him an automatic bid to the NCAA. If he wrestling 15 or so match, his record would have been good enough that the NCAA made 133 have 8 allocations, not 7. And he was taken down at the last second of the third to get beat placing 8th. Doubtful he gets an at-large bid going 6-3 on the year even though he gave Gross everything he wanted. I hated the match against Illinois. Travis used his length to his advantage. If Silva wrestles at the away meet against Travis then with the experience I think leads to a victory for Silva at the BTT. So I think Bormet really screwed this one up.

141 -  Drew Mattin redshirted. Not sure why but he did after jumping 2 weight classes. In open tournaments, he didn't do great. So maybe he needs to grow into the new weight.

141 - Cole Mattin - Did a solid job this year. Be interesting to see which brother wins next year or if Cole just takes a RS.

149. Storr will be a Senior. He has the talent to be an AA. Hope he can get it done this year and next.

157 - Lewan - Another former Jr World Champ. You can see how good he is but I hate the way he wrestles. There's no urgency and rarely does he go for TDs until the 3rd period. Goes to OT way too often. It cost him in the consi-semis when he gave up a TD in the last 10 seconds to a person he previously beat. Needs to become a full 7 minute wrestler. Was ranked #8 in the country but I don't see him placing this year at NCAAs based on how he wrestles.

165/174 - Massa - Was 3rd his freshman year. Then took a redshirt. Then was hurt, came back and lost in the bloodround. And then got beat in consis last year by a past AA 2 matches from AA status. This year olympic redshirt. He did win the US Open this year beating last year's NCAA Champ Mekhi Lewis in the semis. Has the talent to place again or even win the title. Just needs to roll. Lewis, Wick, and Marinelli are all back as well. But Massa has beat them all, but also gotten beat by them all minus Lewis whom he hasn't wrestling in college. Maybe looks a bit bigger, but doesn't mean he doesn't lose the weight to stay 165.

165 - Cam Amine - IMO, I would have let him go this year. Then RS next year when Massa is back. Maybe everyone bumps up a weight? Not sure. But he's very very good. So far undefeated in open tournaments.

174/184 - Myles Amine -  Is an animal. Already qualified for the olympics. Will be a threat to win it all at either weight. I don't see him getting super huge so that tells me he's staying at 174.

184 - Embree - Dude is huge. Not sure what just happened at the BTT. But beat a higher seed. Was going to be in the consi round of 8 and defaulted to 8th place. Will be in NCAAs. But I didn't see him hurt at all in that match. He started the year really well and then was getting beat by a few points every late match. Maybe he is hurt some? I'd get him to do blast doubles like crazy. His size reminds me of Alec Pantaleo whose blast double was sick. Jelani did that to the Minnesota kid the match he won prior to defaulting the rest. Massive blast double. Was a thing of beauty.

197 - Gaige Garcia. If everyone bumps up, then Garcia could RS. There's others on the roster but I guarantee you this is his spot. He's a pinning machine. He just won his second state championship in PA. Along the way he pinned every opponent until State Finals, which he won 7-0. The time on the mat for the other 13 matches was like 1:32. He won OW. Be interesting how he handles football weight vs, staying at 197. Wrestled that in HS.

HWT - Parris. Will be a 3x AA. Hopefully he can beat Gable and crew when it counts.

So there you have it. They wrestled a very young team this year. They knew they were going to get beat on but the young guys performed well. 7th in the Big Ten when 11-12 teams are ranked is nothing to slough about.

Next year they are loaded. If things play out right, they could fight with Iowa for the top spot. But Iowa has like no Seniors and could potentially AA in all 10 weight classes. They are massively good. But there are no given. Their 157 pounder was seeded 3rd this weekend and didn't even place. He'll get an at large bid but crazier things have happened. No?

Also have a multi state champ from Indiana coming in and a few others.

I will say this, not sure what is going on with recruiting but a ton of Michigan wrestlers are leaving the state. Top top guys as well.  Most from DCC but Alex Facundo of Davison whom many consider the #3-4 prospect in the nation just committed to Penn State. We've had multiple DCC guys going to Nebraska. The Amines and others are from DCC so the relationship is there, not sure why Bormet is not closing on these guys. Will hurt Michigan's program for sure. And with their facility, I don't see why these guys don't want to stay home. Makes me shake my head. Maybe its scholarship money? Since these guys only get partials of 9? I don't know but Bormet needs to lock down DCC and other high profile guys to get them to stay home.

Anyone know what happened to…

Anyone know what happened to Jelani Emberee? I wrestled great in the consi's. beat a higher seed and looked fine. Then he's medically forfeiting to 8th. The next match, he was a higher seed. Could have at least got to consi semis if it goes according to seed. Very puzzled.

Argh!!!  I hate what…

Argh!!!  I hate what happened to Joey Silva. He was within a whisker of beating Seth Gross. Then loses to Illinois because of Travis's length IMO. Not sure why the first TD wasn't challenged. To me it happened right at the buzzer but without full control. Didn't matter as he gave up a late one. If Silva wrestles him in the duel, I think this outcome is different or at least Silva knows how to handle the length. Against Lovett, how heartbreaking to lose with 1s left.

But I blame Bormet a ton here. If Silva wresting 12-15 matches, his record is probably, 10-5 or something. I guarantee you he's ranked in the top 20 if not 15. That means the weight class gets another AQ.  But because now his record is 6-3, I highly doubt he gets an at large bid.

All we can do is hope the committee sees how good he is and choose to give him a chance. Doubtful, but my fingers are crossed.

Waste of a year if he doesn't get in.

But I also don't understand his reluctance to go on bottom. He twice got reversals against Gross, who is a hammer and bonus point guy on top. Travis and Lovett are both good top riders but not in Gross's category.

Makes a huge difference in the Lovett match. He'd be going to OT instead.  He's so fast I'd think his stand up is crazy good ala Steve Luke.

Frustrating...

The Red Violin - kind of…

The Red Violin - kind of period piece about a famous violin maker that uses his wife's blood after she passed to lacquer the violin, makes it red. Then it shows 4 centuries worth of people that owned it and what they did with it. Present day has Samuel L Jackson. Love it.

Max - John Cusack plays a Jewish art dealer that thinks Adolf Hitler's work is very close to being displayed. He pushes Hitler to do more, and he does, to the point where Hitler is going to get a showing. But something happens which I won't reveal. It's a what if movie because Hitler was a painter and theories go if he was good enough to have a career, maybe he doesn't end up being the leader of the Third Reich. Awesome flick IMO.

The Raven - Another Cusack movie based on Edgar Allen Poe's poem.

Excellent write up. I am…

Excellent write up. I am mystified by Bormet this season.  There was an opportunity to utilize Silva and Cam Amine. I saw the same interview about academics for Joey. He could have been ineligible because his first match was in January. Maybe became eligible? Regardless, the way he was utilized baffles me. He only got the 4 matches at home. He wasn't even at the away duels. If he's eligible and can wrestle, why not take him? Again baffling. So IMO, Assad will go B1G Tens because Silva has wrestled away from AA yet.

These leads to next year problems. Micic is wrestling internationally at the same weight he is now. What happens next year? I guess Micic could not wrestle in college anymore since next year will be year 7!! 2 olympic years and a redshirt plus 4. That's a lot of time in college. Lets say he does come back chasing a title. Where's Silva? Does he bump up to the log jam at 141 and the Mattin brothers? Does he not get on the mat at all? Then he'd only have 2 years left. I think it's a very real possibility that he transfers.  Not sure why Drew redshirted either. They could have used him. But it did look like he was getting beat more at 141. Cole might be the better 141?

You said you think Massa and Amine will bump up. I'm not so sure. They haven't gotten bigger per say and I think they could stay at 165 and 174 if they want. This leads me to Cam Amine. I would have wrestled him this year. He is far and away the best option at 165. He's won some tournaments. Let him go this year and let him redshirt next year when Massa comes back to 165. Then it's his again.

I feel your frustration with Lewan and Emberee. Lewan does not shoot enough period. Where's the guy that beat Pantaleo and scored what 11 points?  Those 1 point matches will be his downfall at the NCAA. Emberee, I don't get. He's huge but he really doesn't use that to his advantage. He's quick but rarely shoots. I think the gas tank is the correct issue as you pointed out.

I'm hopeful Parris can get it done. No reason he can't as good as he is on his feet. But Stevenson is a counterattack guy. A bad shot he will make him pay. Might take a loss at the B1G to correct some issues for a win at NCAAs?

That is freaking sweet! Love…

That is freaking sweet! Love it. I only have one. It's my profile picture.

Preface I'm a lifelong UM…

Preface I'm a lifelong UM fan from Northwest Ohio that went to tOSU in the early 90's. So my experiences were down there.

My neighbor was a basketball manager and some of their players would pop by on the weekends. Ended up getting to play drinking games at my apartment or his quite often with Rick Yudt and Carlos Davis. Rickey Dudley stopped by once as well. Rick went on to play overseas and has been an actor in a couple TV shows like Monk as a Security Guard. He was pretty fun except he hated I was a Michigan fan. You all might not remember those guys because OSU stunk at that time. Losing seasons for a stretch, which I loved.

Robert Smith lived across the street and next door to a female high school classmate. She had a party one time and he was there and we chatted briefly. Seemed like an ok guy.

Used to pass Andy Katzenmoyer all the time. When he blew out his knee he was on crutches for a long while. Talked to him briefly about how that must suck. He obviously agreed. He was always by himself, backpack on and going a mile on the crutches.

Ala Rosa Villa is a small club off on the east side of Columbus. Where Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed. I probably saw 50 shows there. Anyway, one time I'm there outside on the patio while the opening local band is planning and up walks Don Dokken to my circle of 4 friends. Stood there and talked to us for 30 minutes straight, only to leave as they went on about 15 minutes later. He was super nice.

Coolest experience for me is being friends with Uli Jon Roth from 70's Scorpions fame. A few years back I helped his band out a little bit and now anytime he's touring the US, and he's around where I'm at, I can email him and say, Uli, I'm coming! He puts me on a list to get in free and early to the show. Then we chit chat for however long he has time to spare. And if he's busy beforehand, he'll always tell me to stick around and we'll chat as he's doing a meet and greet. Super super down to earth guy and brilliant guitarist. Every show is something else.

One of his tours was with Andy Timmons and Jennifer Batten. So getting in early, I chatted a ton with Andy, whom I actually prefer as a guitarist to Uli. Andy let me play his guitar for a few minutes and we took pictures. Jennifer wasn't around but for after the show. She's the guitarist in Michael Jackson's old videos. That was a great concert!

International Wrestling is…

International Wrestling is alive and well all summer.  Also watch USA soccer.

He is extremely good.  Is…

He is extremely good.  Is ranked by Flo as the #22 prospect in the Nation.  #4 in his weight class.  He'd go 197 to start off with.

If he plays football, then I'd think he'd have to put on weight and move up to a light heavyweight.

9-2 in session one. With…

7-2 in session one. With Malik Amine losing to #1 in his second match and Parris getting beat by Stoll.

Session 2 expect Mattin to fall to #1 Sebastian Rivera. But the rest are favored to win. And Mason has to start the long track back to make AA. I read on Flo a person say he loved Mason's draw if he got beat by Stoll. Thinks he could make it to 5th. Lets hope!

7th place as a team with 10 points. Micic, Pantaleo, and Massa all had majors.

Agree with this assessment…

Agree with this assessment. I still don't like the back out stalling call. At times, that's the only thing you can do. This is not freestyle. If so, the russian arm bar move is a good technique to get a step out point. In folkstyle its just bad, as Stoll just pushed him out. If anything, I think Stoll should have been hit more for the push out rather than a flee. Mason was doing the only thing he could being outweighed.

Still, I think Michigan ruined this year for Parrish. They got excited at his tournaments wins and bumped him up to try and get a team award again. Well with 184 and 197 not getting in and winning a few matches, I don't see a team trophy. And Mason is absolutely undersized. He is not built like a brick shit house like Synder was at 240. He needed that year to put on another 10 pounds of muscle. I don't see him placing. He'll run into Conan again or another bug guy who'll just lay on him and he won't be able to get out. Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

Couldn't have carried less…

Couldn't have carried less about NE until Law and then Brady became players there. Alan Branch had a monster season for them during their last Super Bowl win. Hope Tom gets it done again this weekend. The young buck needs to wait a few more years before he gets his turn.

Still crap. Be better Wade…

Still crap. Be better Warde. Absolutely terrible hire.

Also agree on Massa. His…

Also agree on Massa. His first 2 years, he went out there with reckless abandon and willed himself to wins over just about everyone. It was nice to watch. But since that injury, he’s regressed some. He had his surgery so I don’t think he’d say it was holding back. What is, is bottom wrestling. He has no first move and to me doesn’t go with enough urgency. Wick from Wisconsin beats him on bottom. Shields rode him for a whole period. That’s why he’s getting beat.

I’m also worried about Pantaleo for the same reason. As big, strong and quick he is, I just don’t understand it. He should be out every time. But at Midlands he got rode and dropped 2 matches, then got rode again at ASU.

Bottom wrestling is a program problem. I think they all need more work. They get it cleaned up and they’ll be that much better.

great program but needs some refinement and coaching up. And the guys have to want it. Or they’ll end up getting beat in the blood round or before and not AA.

Satan involved? Maybe,…

Satan involved? Maybe, especially since Meyer skated by without being fired.

Just think JH is bullheaded. Why not match the successful teams? Spread-like teams Maryland, Purdue, Indiana gave them fits because OSU was not good in space. Yet UM did what they always do. 2 TEs, fullback, try to run down the middle into a 8-9 man box. That's stubborn. And they were not as successful as they could have been on offense because of that.

While Meyer and OSU looked at tape and utilized UM's weakness. Crossing routes and speed. And we're toast.

How didn't Brown try and fix this? Indiana killed us. Certainly he knew. So coaching for sure needs to get better.

I just wonder how long he has. 3, 10 win seasons.  Maybe an 11 this year. But if you don't beat you're rival, eventually you get fired. Happens everywhere. Look at John Cooper. Had a ton of great squads but couldn't beat Michigan. Therefore got the axe. Could happen to Harbaugh in a few years, theoretically if boosters and Administration gets mad enough. Interesting times for a pretty good Michigan football team. Just wish they'd get over that hump. Damn you Satan.

i think they want Parris to…

i think they want Parris to bulk up some. He's too light. Give him a year to put on 10-15 lbs of muscle and he's off.  He got beat in the semis this weekend by OSU's HWT, whom was considered to start but was beaten in wrestle off. Lewan also got beat in OT in the semis by an OSU wrestler. Both got third.  Max Maylor was first at 174.

Next year they bring in a 125 that was a world champ last year and is ranked 1 or 2 in HS ranking.

Hope they can grab the stud from Davison, whom is rated #1 in the nation at 160 as a sophmore. Hes a beast.

Future is bright!

I mean, this is truly…

I mean, this is truly brilliant.  If Jason is on this site, I say he gets 1 Billion points, because on this site, points don't matter and Brian can do WTF he wants.

And The Hoke, sad puppy faces. Ugh. So glad we have Harbaugh.

OMG, The Rtuger!  That is…

OMG, The Rutger!  That is the best thing evar!!

Personally, if its me and I…

Personally, if its me and I have something torn in my shoulder, there's only one thing I'd do. And that is to get it fixed immediately.  If recovery is fast and you can play again, great, if not, then you have a decision to make. Maybe he goes and maybe he doesn't. But at least he'll be healed appropriately.  And we could hope he comes back for his senior year since he had most of his junior year taken away, which could happen. Academics are certainly a priority for RG. And you know he has a burning desire to win a championship here. And beat the rivals. Bet it hurt watching the guys do what it did on Saturday. Either decision is the right one for RG, because it's his. Heal up stud!

Here’s the thing. We’re all…

Here’s the thing. We’re all Michigan fans. We all love this team. So why do people always give each other shit on this topic? I personally love every bit of information that’s given on this board. Be it 100% wrong or 100% right. Injuries are fluid. Info also fluid. One day they could be looking good and the next is a setback. And the insider doesn’t always get the latest info. So be it.

i personally never give 100% credence to anything on the blog because it’s not official from UM. If things change, so be it. I just want Michigan to win, regardless who is playing or not.

I assume this was about UMBig11 whose got a lot of shit. He just said on another thread he will not offer any other info because people are being asses. Personally I agree with that because who wants to constantly be chided for a take not occurring.

Too bad Gary didn’t play. I don’t give a shit that 11 said he thought he would. Things change. 11 thanks for all the info. It’s something I always enjoyed reading. And I hope it continues. You have one person here that over the takes, no matter what.

Such Venom. Maybe that was…

Such Venom. Maybe that was their movie they watched this week? I hear it’s terrible. Just like their University and football team.

Nah. I would think it’d take…

Nah. I would think it’d take a couple losing seasons in a row. 2-3, then yeah.

As a Broncos fan, he had his…

As a Broncos fan, he had his struggles on the OL. Entered as a starter after someone got hurt if I remember correctly. From there he had his good days and bad. I think that's why they let him go. But it could have been cap issues. Broncos haven't done a good job there. Still in the end, he got it done and won a Super Bowl. Not sure how he's doing with the Chargers.  Hopefully extremely well, unless they play the Broncos. LOL. Great video. Best of luck Michael.

Jay Feely is saying he’s…

Jay Feely is saying he’s breaking his ankle instead or keeping it rigid. That’s why it’s wobbly. He also thought he was kicking it too high. But on the second FG, his hips got it through.

Still suck. I know one of…

Still suck. I know one of the back judges. Whenever I see him again, gonna ask him about the absurdity of the calls that happen in the B1G every game.
