I believe MichiganMan14 is the coach that helped UofM land Karan Higdon. So he may have info on this kid as well, as far as UM interest/offers/asking for transcripts etc...

This is the same person that was a coach of Higdon.

lol what's with that opposing player near the goal line at 0:20 not even bothering trying to tackle him after the INT?
October 7th, 2015 at 10:33 AM ^
He looked dejected as soon as Dunn got the ball. Was like screw this....

Surprised to see there is no post ( I cannot create new threads yet.) about MGOFISH's recent Inside the fishbowl article where he mentioned a secret visit recently by a high profile player who is commited to another team.
Surly expected to see a thread about this along with a number of speculation who the visitior was.
October 7th, 2015 at 9:33 AM ^
According to Sam Webb, there are 2 secret visitors this weekend. One that makes sense to keep it a secret and one where it really does not.
October 7th, 2015 at 9:39 AM ^
One of them will be there watching his big bro play some solid defensive football, so I assume that's the one that doesn't make sense to keep secret.

A friend of mine told me a few weeks ago that he knew a recruit, who was commited to another team, met with Michigan coaches secretly in AA. My friend is trusworthy but not someone involved in the coaching staff. He lives in AA and said he saw the player.
This is not one of the common names thrown around (Khalid Kareem or Levert Hill). I follow enough recruiting and read all the updates from the local recruiting experts and didn't see anything noted about this payer in a long long time. This is a recruit few would even think about.
I suspect this payer may be the one MGOFISH mentioned in his ITFB article.
Do I mention the rumor (possible letting the cat out of the bag too soon) or just keep it to myself?

If it's legit it will come out sooner or later in a public respectful way.
October 7th, 2015 at 11:43 AM ^
by making it public you might tank it.
If the kid wants it secret, keep it on the down-low

I don’t want to jeopardize any opportunities for Michigan.

Webb said about a month ago to "keep your eye on the recuitment of Khalid Kareem," and that it wasn't over by a long shot. He also said Michigan had stepped up its recruitment of the kicker Nordin who committed to PSU (after he commited).
October 7th, 2015 at 9:56 AM ^
I was surprised they "cooled" on Nordin. We need a kicker next year and it does not sound like Andrew David has been overly impressive so far.
October 7th, 2015 at 10:05 AM ^
Andrew David has *years* ahead of him to work out his form. Expectations that a freshman kicker is going to dominate at the college level by the fanbase are not warranted.
That said, competition makes everyone better and Nordin would be a good pick up. Looking at the train wreck that is Penn State under James Franklin (gonna get victimized again next year by my Temple Owls also) it makes sense for either of them to jump ship and get a spot at Michigan while they still can...

It may also be 'Bama's tight end commit. #11 ranked tight end.

Free snippet from Michigan Insider via Allen Trieu on that Alabama commit:
Alabama commit to visit?
According to The Michigan Insider's Brice Marich, Cartersville (Ga.) senior tight end and Alabama commit Miller Forristall, has heard from Wolverines tight end coach Jay Harbaugh and is intrigued enough by the interest that he is considering taking an official visit to Ann Arbor. Marich added that he has not set a date yet. Forristall (6-6, 210 pounds) is a four-star prospect on Scout.

if he's read to take an OV, then he isn't one of the two secrets?

if this is the link you are talking about the picture is of a TE commit for bama from Georgia, whose name is Miller Forristall. I am not able to read the whole article but I would make an eduacated guess as to they wouldnt put the picture of one player up to talk about another player potentially visiting.

I have a hard time believing he's a legit 4.5 guy. Kaelin Clay (Utah PR) ran a 4.51, Marcus Mariota ran a 4.52, and so did Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson and Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon. I doubt he's as fast as Melvin Gordon.
