He was making shit up during…

He was making shit up during the Harbaugh era too, particularly at the end.

Anything good that happens…

Anything good that happens to the athletic programs is Santa forcing Warde's hand. Anything bad is Warde not doing anything. Got it.

More athletic? While CJ's…

More athletic? While CJ's RAS was higher than Worthy's, that was due to their size difference. Worthy scored "elite" in the athletic categories and Corn was "great".

Building through the lines…

Building through the lines takes patience and time.  From an NFL draft perspective, it's often a slow build and drafting OL is not sexy.

I remember the Ragnow pick.  People thought it was a good pick, but that alone can't change a team's trajectory.  However, continuing to build the lines through the draft and making strategic additions through free agency to build up the lines is what makes a huge difference.

Not much more demoralizing than lining up and putting a hat on a hat and enforcing your will on the opposing line.  Michigan has done this over the last three years.  The lions over the last two.

In other words, and to keep…

In other words, and to keep in line with the insider trading example, this would be like if there was a law that made it illegal to inside trade or to tip an inside trade to another person (whether family or third party).  If the new law amended the old to make it illegal to inside trade and removed the "or to tip an inside trade to another person (whether family or third party)", then tipping inside trades to others would tacitly be permissible.

He definitely should have…

He definitely should have gone to MSU.

Looks like a regular led light fixture to me.

247 Composite doesn't yet…

247 Composite doesn't yet incorporate On3's whereas On3's is the only one to currently incorporate all four recruiting services (On3, 247, ESPN and Rivals).  At this time 247 Composite incorporates 247, ESPN and Rivals. So your point would be actually accurate for On3.

Not true unfortunately…

Not true unfortunately. Transfers are not capped at 7. If MSU, or any team for that matter, brings in the maximum number of freshman permitted in their newest recruiting class, then yes, they're capped at 7 transfers. However, if they take fewer than the max of freshmen, they can take more transfers.

Those who can't do teach…

Those who can't do teach. Don't you think someone who had bad mechanics and constantly heard coaches harping and trying to fix his mechanics may have a thought or two on the matter? Someone who naturally has good mechanics may not have ever even heard his coach focus on such things.

I believe you need some…

I believe you need some additional context regarding singular nouns.  From the CMOS:

If the countable noun is plural, choose fewer; if it’s singular, choose less. (When CMOS says to reserve fewer for countable things, it’s talking about plural countable things. When it says to reserve less for mass nouns, it means singular mass nouns.) One is always singular: there is one less food group in the new pyramid; there is one less number in this column. Two (or more) is plural: there are two fewer food groups in the new pyramid; there are three fewer numbers in this column.

That's the, albeit unfunny,…

That's the, albeit unfunny, joke.

Let's keep politics off the…

Let's keep politics off the board.

OSU's QB is Stroud.  I think…

OSU's QB is Stroud.  I think you're thinking of Bama's QB, who is Young.

Bama scored 10 pts total in…

Bama scored 10 pts total in the last three quarters against Florida.

Tell us you haven't watched…

Tell us you haven't watched other top 20 teams without telling us you haven't watched other top 20 teams. Rankings aren't objective. People ranked above UM lost. UM won. End of story. Doesn't mean UM will/won't lose next week or any other week for that matter.

If it was a little kid…

If it was a little kid talking shit, then not much sympathy.  If the kid said something like "Giles, we miss you," then that's messed up.  Fans who talk smack to players shouldn't expect the players to respond respectfully.

I'm not a fan of Giles anymore as he no longer plays for UM, but if you wouldn't say something to a guy you were playing pickup basketball without expecting a response, you should be fine with the return fire.

Ackshually, Hutchinson…

Ackshually, Hutchinson slimmed down from his last year's playing weight.

You didn't add the more…

You didn't add the more important stat: the score.  "Beating" is not equivalent to "pasting". A squeaker against a directional school and finishing 8-4 is not the same thing as a throttling against a directional school and finishing 10-2.

Peters wasn't a Hoke guy…

Peters wasn't a Hoke guy. You might be thinking of Malzone.

That's one of his best…

That's one of his best friends asking the questions.  You know you'd be ribbing your boy too.  Definitely funny.

What most folks/fans don't…

What most folks/fans don't understand it's that UM has generally monetized their IP by exclusively licensing it under the IMG-related deals. The Block M is reserved for athletics branding per the agreement and the University is paid a pretty penny for those rights that they licensed. It's not as simple as allowing athletes to use it without renegotiating the umbrella deal. Michigan Medicine pays to have their name co-branded at Football, Men's Basketball and other Athletics events (e.g. the post game press conference backdrop).

Other units within the University, for example the College of Engineering, Ross, the Law School, are not even permitted to use the stand alone Block M. There's a whole page on usage rights on the Branding website.

What about with a brace that…

What about with a brace that only lets it bend in one (or certain) direction(s)?

Yes, they could.

Yes, they could.

"If I had..." You can stop…

"If I had..." You can stop right there because you didn't play for UM.  Fans are delusional.  You've tied your self worth to a team that you root for.  Players on the other hand rarely do.  Get this... some of the UM players are actually friends with OSU players.  For shame.

Hell, the players at OSU, MSU or ND that you beat your brains out for in certain instances were teammates of yours in high school, peewee, etc.  A job is a job.  If UM had seen a former player toiling in the HS ranks and failed to offer him a similar position over that time, he should gladly pursue his profession at another institution that will.

Bellamy's team during his…

Bellamy's team during his first five years (in a complete rebuild) was 21-27.  The years before he was hired, WB was a .500 team.  Perhaps you think they (Crowell and Bellamy) all look the same.  Haha.

I thought this was an actual…

I thought this was an actual learning center.  This cracked me up.

Of that list, folks likely…

Of that list, folks likely care about the following players leaving: Giles, Charbonnet, and Carpenter, perhaps Turner and McCaffrey as well, but neither showed much in their limited playing time.

Perhaps we need such better…

Perhaps we need such better talent that a potato could have the headset and clipboard and we'd still win.

400 or 400 Max?

400 or 400 Max?

How do you like the Apex 21…

How do you like the Apex 21 irons?

You mean his first run-on…

You mean his first run-on sentence.

Do you understand how a 501…

Do you understand how a 501(c)(3) works?  They generally run at a low surplus, if any at all.  Consequently, it's no surprise that the athletic department had $1.1 of net income.  They deliberately spend nearly all of their revenue.  If they have a banner year, they'll hire more football admin or other staff.

Not sure folks fully grasp the various ways by which the athletic department determines to spend its revenue.  So to say that taking 75% of the AD revenue for player revenue share would nearly double the expenses is quite misguided.  If it was a requirement for the AD to do so, there would be mass admin/staff layoffs in the AD.  Additionally, the runaway salaries would start to normalize.

Not sure I want to hear what…

Not sure I want to hear what you think of Wolverines.

An optometrist has an OD …

An optometrist has an OD (doctor of optometry), not MD.  An MD (even one without infectious disease expertise), has far more knowledge about biology than someone who simply has a doctor in the family.  This, however, does not make all MDs experts on COVID.  Sadly, politics some experts in the wrong direction.

Yep, and when these…

Yep, and when these schedules were made, who knew how good either of these teams would be.  If you would randomly compare the schedules of any three B1G teams, I would suspect they may look similar.

It's mostly the case they…

It's mostly the case they the player either hasn't established possession (e.g., is tipping it while moving) or has established possession and is allowed a gather step after dribbling (the typical nba "travel").

There's an analysis on…

There's an analysis on YouTube (it might be paywalled now) from one of those coaching blogs comparing Howard's sets to those of the Heat. There was a lot of overlap. There was also a fair amount of continuing what Beilein was doing (not surprising considering Saddi is still here and it was successful). Martelli himself has said the offense (and particularly the ball screen offense) that UM is running is derived from an primarily influenced by offenses similar to what Howard and Eisley were a part of as coaches in the NBA.

But it appears folks are in unwilling to credit Howard for the X and O success unfortunately.

Oh no, oh no.  Oh yeah!!!

Oh no, oh no.  Oh yeah!!!

As did I, and I've also seen…

As did I, and I've also seen parts of other games. He's not playing the 5 in five out offense at least in what I saw. His skill set is tailor made for Howard's offense. Wish he'd have stayed, but we'll be fine nonetheless.

I think you meant Whiteside…

I think you meant Whiteside and not Bam (even though Whiteside wasn't a nobody, just developed well by Juwan).

Or the "this team just doesn…

Or the "this team just doesn't want it enough." The Maryland game felt look like an effortless first half on the offensive side without the need to be hot from behind the stripe.

Did you see OSU struggle…

Did you see OSU struggle with 0-2 Cleveland State (now 0-3)?

Look at the Warren Buffet…

Look at the Warren Buffet connection re their endowment.

Wouldn't say Reynolds…

Wouldn't say Reynolds whiffed.  The QB just made a good pass that put it in a place that the safety wouldn't be able to get it.  Shibley has to be smarter there and trust his role.  If Reynolds was able to converge on the ball quicker, that's just a great play on his part.

Yeah, yeah, there are some…

Yeah, yeah, there are some who won't wear masks... their loss.  Stay away from them.

But that's not how the masks work.  We wear, and desire that others wear, masks to prevent the spread.  The masks help contain the droplets from spreading widely.  They have not, however, been shown (other than N95 masks) to prevent the wearer from contracting the virus.  The virus gets into our lungs through our mouth, nose and eyes.

If everyone wears masks, the likelihood of mass infection (via spreading the virus) goes down.  Those who won't wear masks but are contagious defeat or put a significant dent in purpose of all wearing masks.
