OT: Is anyone else enjoying watching SEC D getting run?

Shouldn't Baylor be worried? They haven't actually faced a defense this year.

I wonder if Brian is still pissed we got Harbaugh and not Mullen.

I agree with you, but as soon as we lose a game due to perceived offensive ineptitude, Brian will be pointing at our "outdated" offense saying we should be running what Mullen is running.

Really? Brian is a self-described spread zealot and has a bias against anything other than the spread. He seems to be happy with the Jim Harbaugh hire, but I can see him griping about using TEs and FBs and not "putting players in space" in the very near future.

Brent just characterized Urban and Nick as "good buddies." I've seen the two of them together and the best I could say is that the relationship is "icy."
I'd hate to see what Brent calls "loathed enemies."

Yeah... they're def not friends. Urban called Saban at Toledo to hire him once as an assitant. He instead got Saban's wife on the phone, who then vouched for him to Saban. Saban said "nah."
lol.

I don't quite see how the performance of Ole Miss and Miss State in these bowls tells us much about DJ Durkin as a DC.

Auburn, Florida and LSU have also won recent MNC... The ACC, B1G and Pac12 have won how many in that time? 1... I don't like them either, but don't say what you just said without something to back it up.

What the SEC is best at is getting themselves voted into the National Title game. From that point they have a 50% (or some years 100%) chance of winning the title game. The absolute toughest part of winning the BCS title game was actually getting the voters to put you in the damn title game. The SEC manipulated the media to the point that the SEC got a default entry every year.
Pure marketing BS.
They are a good conference, and right now, Alabama is the best program in the country. While they had Urban, Florida was probably the best program in the country. But the rest of the conference is no better than any other. They are just the best at constantly fluffing their own nuts.

If the Big Ten would have been allowed to have 2 teams in the national title game in 2006 after they were 1 and 2 and slugged it out with a 3 point difference (similar to alabama and LSU in 2011) Then there would be 1 more title for the BIG and 1 less for the SEC. Doesn't totally change your argument all that much but the bias is obvious. We were leapfrogged by a Florida team in a way that Alabama was not. And Alabama lost at home to LSU whereas we lost by 3 at the Shoe.
