No...LSU beat Bama in the…

No...LSU beat Bama in the regular season in Tuscaloosa plus LSU played a really really difficult schedule that year.

LSU never should have played Bama again. LSU deserved that NC and not simply because of the Bama win

so the Big 10 Championship…

so the Big 10 Championship Game should also  determine the Broyles Award

Big House attendance record…

Big House attendance record will be set 9/24/24

True historically...but an…

True historically...but an entire meme has been made out of Fulmer snitching on Alabama

Don't know if LSU is…

Don't know if LSU is underperforming or not...they got smacked around by one of the remaining undefeateds and loss a road game to another top 10 team; a game that went down to the last play.

I remember how 49-3 felt.

I remember how 49-3 felt.

This one feels waaaaaay better than 49-3 did.

2022.

I attended neither…

2022.

I attended neither game personally and unless Michigan won in Columbus, people would say that 2021 was a fluke.

Michigan's absolute beat down in Columbus changes all the narratives.

DEFCON 1 is right, lol

DEFCON 1 is right, lol

Basically, OSU hired Don…

Basically, OSU hired Don Brown for some reason.

Well...that effectively…

Well...that effectively locks out 2-loss teams so...My sense is that Georgia, Michigan, TCU are in with the 4th spot going to USC or Ohio State

OSU at 5...which pretty much…

OSU at 5...which pretty much locks out Alabama, if the playoff committee sees it the same way

same play Ohio State pulled…

same play Ohio State pulled in the 98 Sugar Bowl against Florida State

Yeah, one of the undefeateds…

Yeah, one of the undefeateds will lose and then USC has UCLA, Notre Dame, and possibly the Pac 12 championship...IF USC wins out, how will the committee keep that brand out

'Bama at #11 (giggles)

'Bama at #11 (giggles)

That would help, although…

That would help, although the big winner of a ND win over Clemson would be USC

As was Clemson...in fact,…

As was Clemson...in fact, Michigan's margin over Clemson in the coaches poll grew a little bit, I think

Clemson's game was basically…

Clemson's game was basically a redux of ours...struggled in the first half against BC, rolled in the second half. Even Tennessee didn't jump for that overhyped win against a bad LSU team

Well, I mean, someone has to…

Well, I mean, someone has to live in a barn if the sharks don't...

BPONE as a Michigan fan?

BPONE as a Michigan fan?

Mine started January 2, 1978.

Yeah, I'm old.

Michigan got out of Iowa…

Michigan got out of Iowa City with a pretty decisive win and that is what matters

This brings up a question…

This brings up a question that I have asked that no one seems able to answer.

IF Michigan plays Minnesota in Indy, will the LBJ be at stake or is that only for regular season games?

Lloyd Carr did pretty well,…

Lloyd Carr did pretty well, too as far as former assistants being promoted into the HC position goes

AP put Baylor ahead of OSU.

In the pre-BCS era...Ohio…

In the pre-BCS era...Ohio State would have gone to the Orange to play Baylor or maybe even the Sugar Bowl to play Alabama.

There was only so much that…

There was only so much that the Okie state defense could do when their QB threw 4 interceptions...his defense shutout Baylor in the second half

After all of the grief that…

After all of the grief that SAD Oklahoma State fans have poured onto Twitter over the Broyles Award...

Even the Ten Year War had…

From the looks of Twitter,…

From the looks of Twitter, Stillwater, Oklahoma bitching as if it were East Lansing, Michigan

George Rogers (who we played…

George Rogers (who we played against) won it...I'd make a case for Herschel in 1980 but Green had the better case, IMO

First of all, Hugh Green…

First of all, Hugh Green deserved the Heisman in 1980.

Second of all, Sparty fans on Twitter are SALTY...even Steven Threet is apparently throwing the shade back.

Congrats to Hutch...the best players do it in the biggest games

Georgia is not in the West…

Georgia is not in the West but Texas A&M is

Any expanded playoff needs…

Any expanded playoff needs to have auto-bids for conference champions (and if the conference champion is a 4 or 5 loss team...so be it)

With SEC expansion, I can't…

With SEC expansion, I can't imagine them not changing the division set-up...moving Auburn and Alabama to the East, for example

That "Big 10 bracket" is…

That "Big 10 bracket" is whacked...even the NCAA tourney used to have a rule that teams from the same conference couldn't play one another until the regional final and would seed teams accordingly(not necessarily according to ranking)

Michigan 23 Iowa 10

Michigan 23 Iowa 10

Why stop at the Big 10?

He…

Why stop at the Big 10?

He should get a lot of consideration for national coach of the year now.

Kiffin has already been HC…

Kiffin has already been HC at two blueblood programs and flamed out in both...he'd be a good hire, X;s's and O's wise.

That game wasn't really that…

That game wasn't really that close, though.

Maybe the fact that there is…

Maybe the fact that there is a flu epidemic on campus that is so serious that the Centers for Disease Control has gotten involved.

Plus...Crisler has always filled for really big games with big opponents (Duke, Ohio State, Michigan State, UNC...Kentucky or even UCLA could potentially get Crisler filled...Indiana...once upon a time)

In that case, OSU wins the…

In that case, OSU wins the tiebreaker with only one conference loss

IF I were to go the…

IF I were to go the conspiracy theory route, I would say that ranking Michigan above Michigan State might be about getting Michigan into the Rose Bowl over Sparty

THIS.

I am tired of playing…

THIS.

I am tired of playing bowl games in Florida. But how would the picking work out this time (I honestly can't imagine a Pac12 team other than Oregon being picked...but a Michigan-Oklahoma Rose Bowl would be a nice consolation.

Let's just hope that OSU…

Let's just hope that OSU doesn't pull a 2015 ('cause they played with a attitude in The Game thst they would not have had if they had beaten MSU that year...and that damn windmill!)

Just to add a name: Pitt's…

Just to add a name: Pitt's Hugh Green in 1980 should have won it

I think that they played…

I think that they played Alabama...and they did play Notre Dame this year...they usually have one challenging OOC game on their schedule, actually

Yeah, I went and checked to…

Yeah, I went and checked to see who Purdue lost to since I was sure there was a bad loss there...but home losses to Minnesota and Wisconsin and a road loss to Notre Dame..a road win at a then-Top 5 and a home win over a then-Top 5...they should be ranked anywhere in the 20-25 range but not after this weekend because they will not beat Ohio State in Columbus.

I'm just wondering...which…

I'm just wondering...which…

I'm just wondering...which are the other 13-14 times that Purdue has beaten a a top 5 team...I know they did it once against Michigan (that 1976 heartbreaker) and I figure that they did this against Notre Dame several times
