This is so comically over the top. It's beyond finger-licking good. I may make a poster out of this column.
Doyel: National title for Harbaugh's cheating would render college football meaningless
Understand this: We could be days away from Jim Harbaugh hoisting a national championship trophy to cap a season in which he was suspended twice for cheating – the first three games of the regular season, and the last three – because of two different scandals that helped the 2023 Michigan Wolverines achieve greatness.
When that time comes, if that times comes, college football will be thrown into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, to borrow from a book Harbaugh likes to thump. That’s from the New Testament, Matthew 13:42.
Perhaps it is right and good that Jim Harbaugh be remembered as one of the horsemen of this apocalypse. Because if Michigan wins the national championship in a season it was popped twice for cheating – violations that helped this very team – college football will become like something from the Book of Ecclesiastes.

I would love to know what "meaning" he currently finds in college sports.
I mean, obviously given that I am a regular on MGoBlog, I love me some Michigan athletics but I don't pretend there is some deeper meaning to it other than just fan entertainment.
If you put a gun to my head, I would say a successful season drives the local economy and # of school applications a bit.

Yeah the one thing lockdown taught me was I can survive with just movies and music. I'm completely back into football but I haven't really paid much attention to anything else in sports since 2020.

That was Harbaugh during the COVID shutdown. We’ll never know how many players on Michigan’s current roster were contacted illegally by Harbaugh, or how many were subliminally swayed to Michigan by the special attention. If the number is greater than zero – and it has to be – it’s too many.
Part 2:
And we’ve seen tape – “Sweet Jesus there’s always a tape,” as Scott Glenn’s Washington Post reporter says in the 1996 movie “Courage Under Fire” – of Stalions standing next to Harbaugh during games, studying the opposing sideline and telling him … something. What was he saying? And why was Harbaugh listening to a low-level staffer, right then and there, as he called plays?

As somebody who lives in Indy and has a subscription to the Indy Star to promote local journalism, I am too familiar with Doyel's shtick. In general he trolls the local fan bases but apparently that was not enough.

Schadenfreude is taking joy in someone's misfortune; Gregg is certainly misfortunate--he can't spell either of his names correctly and he's a dullard--but he's not unhappy. Ol' Popeye Doyel is pounding his poor pud in a fury of smug self-satisfaction, grinning and drooling all the way; whatever a reader may feel at this display is more akin to the feelings of one touring Bedlam in days of yore.

Maybe, but we do know the impact players on the team from that class; Rod Moore, JJ, Colson. McBurrows and Edwards.
We also know all those players committed before the dead period except Donovan who was considered a lock since 2018.
Yet somehow Doyle is adamant a zoom call to Louis Hansen will not only taint and mar our potential National Championship it will be the death knell of College football???
That guy did not have a good Christmas.

For heaven's sake...Ohio State cheated during the covid year and nobody batted an eye.
OSU practiced before B10 rules allowed and even uploaded evidence to their social media accounts. Getting extra practice in before the season is an onfield advantage.
Day was asked at least twice if they had practiced with coaches and declined to comment.
The BigTen looked the other way because OSU was the only contender in the B10.
I wish we could leave this god forsaken conference.
