marketers marketing for the sake of marketing.

These are like Pitt's jerseys now. The cleats are terrible.
August 19th, 2014 at 3:21 PM ^
Michigan should go to Under Armour, they said.
Their uniforms are better than adidas, they said.

I want these when we play football games in Ann Arbor
And I want these when we play football games outside of Ann Arbor

Are you?

Good catch! ha!
August 19th, 2014 at 4:40 PM ^
...and I always wondered why the hell we couldn't get pants that were one shade of maize.
August 19th, 2014 at 10:11 PM ^
those two-toned pants Michigan wore during the Rick Leach/Harlan Huckleby/Rob Lytle days.
Then again, I was in my early 20's back then, about the same age that the uniformz-loving crowds are now.

Who said that? I hear lots of people (myself included) pining for Nike again, not UA. I don't want Nike because of UNIFORMZ (which are turrible), but because of overall quality, and not having jerseys shred from being looked at all squinty eyed.
August 19th, 2014 at 5:50 PM ^
There have been people on here wanting Under Armour.
August 19th, 2014 at 6:06 PM ^
I'm on here a lot, and I don't remember any of that.
August 19th, 2014 at 7:25 PM ^
I'll bite. I prefer Under Armour. I would love a nice Under Armour tee, and a quarter zip for games. Their clothing, to me, is the highest quality.
On the field Maryland and MERICA Northwestern take the cake for crazy designs. But they have turned out some things of beauty with a legacy like Auburn, Notre Dame,Temple. Toledo's new uniform is better too.
Honestly, the tearing doesnt bug me as much as it bugs some of us, I would rather wear a consistent sized shirt and not be between sizes constantly.
August 19th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
I like Nike stuff, too, but I've had a much better experience with Under Armour apparel in general. They make the good stuff for me.
August 19th, 2014 at 8:29 PM ^
From my limited perspective, people had been clamoring for Not-Adidas.
August 19th, 2014 at 3:22 PM ^
When did North Dakota sign an apparel deal with UA?

Hate that uniform. What were they smoking?
I almost never go into threads about uniformz, but man, what are people thinking? I get that times change, and we move forward, but this just seems . . . ridiculous. The uniform companies, all of them (UA, Adidas, Nike, et al) seem to have designers who have to justify their existence by coming up with something more and more outlandish. A pox on all of them.
"Get off my lawn."

I don't know what they're smoking, but I'm going to light up a bowl and go stare at that undershirt.
August 19th, 2014 at 3:29 PM ^
This is obviously ND's idea, they did the same "shamrock series" promotion when they were with Adidas. Just like how all of our alternate uniforms were our idea.

I like the helmets quite a bit. But how does ND approve the rest of that uni?

Matte blue.
August 19th, 2014 at 4:08 PM ^
I don't mind the uniform but the shoes look like construction boots.
August 19th, 2014 at 4:12 PM ^
I like the trees in the background.
August 19th, 2014 at 5:32 PM ^
ghosts passing through the trees? Is that some kind of ND tradition?
August 19th, 2014 at 4:14 PM ^
What do the recruits think?
August 19th, 2014 at 4:30 PM ^
The more uniforms I see, the more I appreciate this:
How sweet would it be to wear those at night. (Either Nike or adidas, doesn't matter)
August 19th, 2014 at 4:58 PM ^
August 19th, 2014 at 5:04 PM ^
lolwut? My point was I don't care about the company - I could just as easily posted a normal adidas home jersey.
August 19th, 2014 at 4:41 PM ^
Did Christopher Polyblend design these?
August 19th, 2014 at 4:42 PM ^
But...that's peak highlighter yellow there.
August 19th, 2014 at 5:05 PM ^
If you're referring to my Mike Hart post, looks great to me.
August 19th, 2014 at 4:47 PM ^
I love them, and by love them I mean I love that we don't wear anything that bad.
August 19th, 2014 at 4:55 PM ^
August 19th, 2014 at 5:10 PM ^
Uh... We don't?
August 19th, 2014 at 5:40 PM ^
I've chased three kids off my lawn this week alone, but I gotta say that other than the goofy number, those look pretty sweet.
I have wondered for a long time what we would look like in blue jerseys and blue pants. I actually think this look is perfect for a night game. The maize highlights - wings, M's, numbers - will really "pop" against the blue background under the lights.
I am excited to see this look at night. The contrast provided against Penn State's all-whites will make for a cool event.

I can't wait to see the complaining when Michigan wears Blue on Maize or an all-Maize. It's happening eventually.
An alternate a year is fine.

a quick glance at the ESPN front page, the ESPN NCAAF page, and the board...people are talking about ND uniforms, not a cheating scandal.

If you look closely, you can see the hidden pocket for test answers. That's what you call a decided schematic advantage.

The waist up actually isn't horrible. I don't mind the shoulders at all and their logo is good enough to throw it on the helmet, though people are gonna get upset because of tradition and that's understandable. However, the pants and the shoes and just.... attrocious. Just horrific. I don't even understand... UA channelling its inner Addidas.
August 19th, 2014 at 6:44 PM ^
Man, this makes me sick. I don't mind admitting I'm liberal for the most part, but the temptation of a few bucks has crapped all over tradition when it comes to uniforms. I'm glad the players like it, because someone's got to. I expect this from the traditionless like Sparty, but does anyone remember the glory of playing Ohio when they actually wore their traditionals? And their alternates are far from the worst. Yeesh.
