OT: ESPN.com ranks top 10 college scoreboards
Interesting to see where they slot UM in the list.

Nowhere is an interesting place, I suppose
we aren't on the list....so what?
Well it certainly doesn't fit with Dave Brandon's narrative of "branding" (or, more accurately, "Brandon-ing") and massive increases in prices. And don't you dare google "Michigan althetic department administrative cost increase"!
Top 10 ESPN Top 10 Lists for trolling sports fans.
ESPN is desparately scouring the earth for content, ey?
My girlfriend always used to tell me that it doesn't matter the square footage of your scoreboard, as long as you buy me nice stuff and pay my rent. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.
Jerry Jones compensatin'
...our scoreboard has always played bigger than its frame.
I think he is. Nice work Don.
Think of this as a Sunday morning croissant. Light, airy, fluffy, completely devoid of any inherent nutrition or substance, and made interesting only with the slathering on of the butter of satisfaction, the orange marmalade of outrage, or the margarine of disdainful indifference.
Don.
Dick is Don's identical twin.
You need to find better croissants. There should be more than enough butter in them already just to get the appropriate layering.
To maybe turn this thread into something worth talking about...the Toledo Blade ran an article on how the shoe will/may overtake the Big House this year in attendance, as ticket sales fall off.
I'm sure it's been discussed here, but when I saw the article this morning it kind of opened/burned my eyes...
It seems like ESPN is digging deep for new content. Now they're taking on overly used message board threads. What can we expect next? Top 10 team colors? Top 10 fight songs? Top 10 uniformz?
Though, on the topic, I think it's disengenious to not mention Michigan given 1. No ads to take up space and 2 of the same size boards in the stadium.
Give the BR a little credit. Every time I visit their site, I don't have to skim past at least 2 articles on Lebron James.
Case in point....
I would tend to agree that this seems like a reach for content by ESPN in a typically down period for college football news, but something did stand out to me.
Was I the only person that got an unexpected chuckle out of the fact that the photo of Michigan State's scoreboard was announcing an extreme weather event whereas every other photo seems to at least be running through typical game-type displays?
Texas' scoreboard reminds me of the outfield wall in Major League II:
Interesting.
The thing has barely worked since we put it in, so it would be kind of ridiculous to include it here.
and ESPN chose to showcase the advice:
The giant Miami scoreboard just hides the fact that no one is at the game. they only average 47,000 for a 75,000 seat stadium.
That's a lot of corporate advertising on there.
