Lewan!
discussion about him.
Way to go lions...way to waste a pick...they resign Pettigrew and then they draft another one when there are other needs...like defense
I see the logic. Fauria is a poor blocker so he really isn't a TE, but a giant H-back or slow WR at this point.
89-81
I hate the Titans.
Mike Martin, Lewan and a coach from Scranton- what's not to love?
Mike martin and Taylor Lewan on the same team again...good times
Gallon all over that Lewan highlight video. I hope some GM's were watching :)
and I'm still not sure why anyone thought he was top 10 worthy. Seems like all his top plays are him running in circles with the football hanging out there and then making a circus throw. Not the kind of stuff you'll be able to get away with in the NFL. Plus he's a small guy. I wouldn't have expected him to go till the 3rd round or later
...is gonna be SO drunk in Nashville.
Talk about a party.
If he doesn't drive or get into trouble, there isn't a problem with him being drunk. If he's "drunk responsibly."
I have no comment on whether that will happen, but I'm pretty sure he'll live in up in good ol' Nashville. Best of luck to Taylor. Go Blue!
Would much rather have McShay, Gruden, Carter and Turico.
Ray Lewis is terrible
lions suck. that is all
They do a pretty good job of that all by themselves.
Why do I root for the lions?
switch to the pack. Great history. Publicly owned team. Actually draft intelligently.
so I made the switch to the Pack years ago and couldn't be happier. The Lions are now just a hilarious oddity. They always find new ways to fuck things up and all you can do is laugh.
Confidence inspiring.
They're still recovering from DB's leadership
Fuller over Dennard - interesting
Honestly, what were you expecting out of the Lions? You guys are complaining about inexperience in the secondary, and adding another corner or safety would only bring even more inexperience. Were they really going to trade up for a guy like Anthony Barr? I am actually a huge fan of the Ebron pick. I was all about trading up to get Watkins, but Ebron is large bodied TE who will be more active and able than Pettigrew and will actually catch the ball. Stafford loves throwing to his tight ends, and Ebron acts as solid target for Stafford who I think will have a breakout year in terms of consistency after working with Caldwell. Ebron is a more athletic Funchess who has better hands. I think Ebron will surprise a lot of people this fall.
Is trading Pettigrew in the realm of possibility?
"...and don't run an offense than will utilize two at a time"
They don't? We have yet to see the Lions offense with the new staff and they have a new OC from New Orleans who liked TEs
I think it's fair to assume they are planning to use more 2TE sets.
I expect Ebron to be the third receiver...and Pettigrew will be the first TE
I e-gree with you. Last year, Reggie Bush and Joique Bell were our 2nd and 3rd best receivers. That can't happen in a pass first oriented offense. We need more weapons and Ebron is a huge weapon.
I feel as if they would have gotten a receiver like Beckham or traded up for Watkins if they were in deep longing for a receiver. I think Ebron spends most of his time playing a Gronk role at TE.
Shazier is a beast - drafted ahead of rank but that kid can ball
Or the other OLB spot?
come on Dallas pick Johnny Football...I know Jerry Jones would spoon him.
