Im new to this bracket stuff, but is it better to be a 1 seed regardless of region, or get a 2 with a favorable region like you mention?
like some think Wichita State might be, it may be better for Michigan to be the 2 in the Midwest.
All caveats apply...
Correct me if I'm wrong gents but...winner of BTT is a lock for a #1 no?
So if Northwestern wins, they're a one seed? No,

Lunardi said he's got Villanova at #1 right now, but if Michigan or Wisconsin win the BTT, Lunardi sees them passing Villanova while Villanova sits at home.
I'm here to talk about seeding and drinking.
Seeding: I don't know how the hell the committee will disentangle the mess on top.
Drinking: I am not currently drinking, but hope to consume some leftover Founders in my fridge. Or I may fall asleep watching MSU-NW.
Eat some cake with your beerz!

Happy Birthday. You share a birthday with my sister. I'm drinking Faiveley Mercurey Clos Des Myglands, but I'm a bit older than you.

Interesting...What IF we and Wiscy lose tomorrow, along with Louisville, and Duke or Virginia go on to win the ACC Tournament.
I think it's too early to say anything is confirmed at this point.

They are 4-5 against the rpi top 50, and one of those is against Southern Miss, who is on the wrong side of the bubble. They just haven't played anyone. Well, actually, they played North Carolina and Kentucky, but they lost those games. Michigan is 9-4 against the RPI top 50, and those 4 losses are to better teams than anyone Louisville played all year. If Louisville wins tomorrow, they can get a 3 seed. That's about it.
Which teams are locks for No. 1 seeds so far? Wichita State and Florida? It seems like Arizona should be a No. 1 so there's only one spot left. It's going to be really tough.
My parents will be spending their 45th wedding anniversary here tomorrow afternoon watching Michigan play Ohio State and consuming the Reuben Casserole that I will prepare - yes, I found a recipe for the casserole version of my favorite deli sandwich. They are watching my sister's kids while she is in London at EuroCon, so while my daughter bosses them around, the rest of us will be watching the game. It's really a nice way to spend time with family and watch your alma mater play some hoops.
For now, it is Blue Moon and the Northwestern-MSU game.

Congratulations to your parents, an amazing accomplishment. Not many make it that long any more. Mine will celebrate 55 soon, which is crazy.
A "Reuben Casserole"?? Better keep the windows in the room open after that meal.

1-seed has the weakest 2-seed, but the strongest 3-seed.
It's an S-curve, a snake-ordered seeding process, if you will. So again, the overall 1-seed gets the weakest 2, 4, 6, 8 seed(s) in its bracket.

Interesting. I don't "recall" the BTN selection committee show saying as much, of which Palm was a part of. I know it's a part of the equation, for sure, but didn't think it was the first priority. Honestly, at least with the 2-seeds, it doesn't seem that hard to to the S-curve seeding and still be able to do geography as the/a secondary seeding notion; even the 3-seeds don't seem like it would be hard to use the S-curve first followed by location.
I also remember Palm and co. stating that there are new rules to help with not changing seeds as years past have had to do (10 seeds changes last year to adhere to the "bracketing rules"!) but didn't get the memo that geography was a more primary notion to follow.
Anywho, not trying to disagree with you or say you're wrong. The way you say Palm tweeted back makes some sense as well.

Who the hell makes a 15 pack?

I've seen (and purchased) Bud Light 15-packs in my (college) day(s).

I disagree. The best beer in the world comes in large single bottles, with corks.

May you learn to appreciate quality over quantity, my friend.

If he's in college then I see nothing wrong. We've all been there.
because it looks like Michigan hockey is going to have to get hot in the conference tournament again to have a hope. We've been doing that too often...at least it's only 3 games this year and not 5-8 like we did in the CCHA.
On the bright side, with the rate teams have been falling we're probably a 1-seed with a BTT win. I would bet the odds are over 90% that we'll be a 2-seed though
