TJ Guy. Maybe not yet a dude but a guy!
November 20th, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
Came here to mention Guy. He looked solid out there. Still pretty raw but was getting pressure on a lot of his snaps. Excited for his development. On the other hand, McGregor hasn’t looked like Hutchinson 2.0 and had been rather forgettable so far
November 21st, 2021 at 7:38 AM ^
Who called out TJ earlier in the week as a player to watch as a potential up and comer at DE/OLB??? Been watching him for years in MA. Happy for TJ, great kid who's coming on faster than I thought.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:09 PM ^
Gave up points. Fire everyone.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:20 PM ^
They gave up over 600 yards! F$#@ this D
edit: sorry, meant to post this comment on RCMB

OMG;.. Brutal.
Well played. ?
November 20th, 2021 at 7:10 PM ^
For OSU, it's concerning how much the DTs seemed to be cleared out on run plays today. Plus there were a few wide open receivers Taulia just missed. Those are OSU TDs. If we win next week, we're gonna have to win a shootout. Offense will have bat almost 1.000
November 20th, 2021 at 7:11 PM ^
Nobody got hurt. That’s huge.
Otherwise it was fine.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
Is Hawkins ok?
November 20th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
Uh no idea now I’ve got something to worry about.
November 21st, 2021 at 7:39 AM ^
I came here to check on Hawkins as well. He was not out there much at all. I never saw anything specific and the telecast didn't mention it, but his absence was noticeable early enough in the game. We had Moten and Moore out there together, and having two first-year players at safety next week would be rather terrifying.
November 21st, 2021 at 8:46 AM ^
I thought the telecast mentioned he had gone to the locker room before half? Or am I misremembering who they were talking about?
November 21st, 2021 at 9:26 AM ^
Could very well be the case. I was a little distracted, so I'll take your word for it. Someone in the game write-up said that Harbaugh mentioned that he didn't think the injury was anything serious, so fingers crossed.
November 21st, 2021 at 11:36 AM ^
Yeah he left the game and went into the locker room. He was in uniform on the sideline in the second half. Never came back in.
November 21st, 2021 at 12:40 PM ^
Hopefully just precautionary.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:11 PM ^
They played well against an explosive offense. They made key stops. I had the Terps scoring 24 against our guys so the defense played well.
On the bright side, they had a Pick-6! Loved it!
Looked like a clean game, no injuries heading into the The Game!

November 20th, 2021 at 8:55 PM ^
That oughta do it. Thanks very much, BB!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:17 PM ^
The run defense is bad. No other way to put it. DTs and LBs are real problems.
Henderson is going to feast.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:30 PM ^
You are remembering the 3rd quarter and a running QB. That is what I remember. It will not be the same next week. It doesn't mean our DTs will transform. I think they fit stuck with backups in some plays because of switches. Hope they let starters play through and not substitute too much next week. I am not sure if I would put it as run D is bad. There were many scrambles in there.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
OSU could run at will against us. But they can pass at will against us too. So we better plan on scoring alot of points if we hope to win.
November 20th, 2021 at 10:09 PM ^
Tackles have not been great against the run all year. I swear when we brought in the second and third teamers and Maryland still had their starters in that those guys did a better job against the run. If there's been one weakness on this d it's how easy it is to get past our tackles.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
Great pass rush, led by Hutch. Nice pick 6 DJ. Hope Brad Hawkins is ok. Hutch and Ojabo will be introducing themselves to Stroud next week. Pressured Tulia and handled Maryland up tempo pretty well.
November 20th, 2021 at 9:42 PM ^
I hope so re: the DEs, but OSU gets the ball out to playmakers pretty quickly and when Stroud sits back, he usually has WRs breaking free deep. We need our secondary to close those windows and make him think about it a beat longer for Ojabo and Hutch to get home.
Remember, Stroud has been sacked only 5 times in conference…on 267 dropbacks…
November 20th, 2021 at 7:21 PM ^
Didn't make me feel more confident about beating OSU but good game overall. Those scrambly qbs who just heave it up there are tricky.
Feel like we'll need to force some turnovers to win next week.
Go Blue!

Maryland is a good passing offense and we held them in check. OSU is a whole different beast obviously but we did show something in that regard. Good news, about “scrambly QBs” is that Stroud is not one and will hang in the pocket and sometimes holds the ball for too long
November 20th, 2021 at 7:26 PM ^
I wish they would clean up some of those long drives that end with points for the other team but they kinda are what they are at this point. Great when the pressure is getting home but can be iffy if it's not.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:27 PM ^
No sacks for Hutch or Ojabo which means they'll both break the Michigan single season record next week!
BEAT OHIO!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:31 PM ^
Defense was not great today, but they didn't need to be. Even so, they held a gimmicky tempo passing offense under 20 points on the road. DJ Turner with a nice pick-6. Hutchinson probably scraped by +15 in UFR scoring yet again.
Next week, they will need to be great to get the win. What you got Mike Macdonald? You're about to take your final exam for this semester. And it will be cumulative.
Make sure to use a No. 2 pencil, please.
November 21st, 2021 at 12:37 AM ^
....and don't cheat off of Don Brown.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
That QB was slippery. Holy cow. Ojabo had a hand on him and he slipped out. I saw some nice tackled but also some missed ones. Scrambling got them, especially in the 3rd quarter. Tempo and substitution need to be cleaned up. Otherwise, a nice game by D and did enough. It almost felt like they weren't trying hard in the second half and let a few plays slip.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:37 PM ^
any updates on Brad Hawkins? Looks like he went out early
November 20th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
The defense was shit and bailed out repeatedly by Mike Locksley's crappy coaching and Little Tua's inconsistency. OSU will easily reach the 50s against us next weekend.
November 20th, 2021 at 9:28 PM ^
Maryland is poorly coached. He's got some talent on that roster but man what a clusterfuck
November 21st, 2021 at 1:05 AM ^
weren't they missing their top 3 wrs and top rb? tough to overcome that. but they did have some dumb penalties.
November 21st, 2021 at 1:22 PM ^
And this is why coaching matters a lot.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:46 PM ^
I'll enjoy this week's performance, and not worry about OSU. Playing a pro team like them is going to be a very difficult chore.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:50 PM ^
The tempo was a factor.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:55 PM ^
Its always a factor
November 20th, 2021 at 8:10 PM ^
Shouldn't these be "Maryland Crabcakes" instead of Snowflakes?
November 20th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
Defense was fine - good even. 24-3 at half. 41 point beatdown.
Yes, MD shot themselves in the foot repeatedly; Terps gonna terp.
Taulia missed some wide open guys, but he does that, especially when he's being chased.
Game was never in doubt. Complete thrashing. Terrapins moved the ball a bit, mostly after outcome was decided.
Slippery QB's are frustrating.
DJ Turner with the pick 6! Found our playmaking CB!
Michigan's defense is so much better than expected, there's not enough praise to give.
Turtle Soup! Beat Ohio!
November 21st, 2021 at 10:16 AM ^
They ended up with 350 so they moved more than a bit.
my big concern is out ends go all out to get sacks and don’t maintain proper rush lanes. It was a real problem against psu early until Clifford was too beat up to run and barring a change osu will exploit that weakness with draws and qb runs.
osu has all the weapons to exploit our D and I fully expect they will next Saturday.
hoping we can get some turnovers and win a 37-35 game
November 21st, 2021 at 11:04 AM ^
The md offense has moved the ball on everyone. Said before the game they will move the ball here too and they did. Osu is going to put up 500 yards of offense, people need to accept that now. The question will be whether some timely sacks that force field goals instead of touchdowns keeps them to 35-40 points rather than 50+ and whether the offense can put up 40+. We aren’t winning this game with less than 35 points.
November 20th, 2021 at 9:11 PM ^
Stop giving up 2 pt PATs!
November 20th, 2021 at 10:05 PM ^
We lost the edge several times today. Easy to do against a slippery qb. Stroud sits more in the pocket so hopefully its not an issue next week.
November 21st, 2021 at 10:18 AM ^
He has the ability to run
normally doesn’t need to
November 20th, 2021 at 10:44 PM ^
I was surprised at how Maryland OL pushed our DT around. The DTs played much better against a heavier PSU OL. I hope they play much better against OSU. I don't like how OSU offense has transformed into the best offense in the country, even better than Georgia. It sucks that we may lose again and I cannot blame the players or Harbaugh, its just superior athletes going against our decent athletes.
November 20th, 2021 at 10:59 PM ^
Excellent job by the D. MacDonald should have them ready for the up tempo, If not then only God can help us. Need to pound the hell out of Stroud next week. Covering 3 NFL wideouts will be a challenge, but Turner has stepped up his game big time.
November 21st, 2021 at 10:19 AM ^
I would say
good job by the D limiting them to 18
excellent job is 10 or less
November 20th, 2021 at 11:12 PM ^
All things considered, I think this was a really solid performance. Maryland can move the ball pretty well against nearly everyone. The pic six was key.
