Now we’re talking. Let’s do this. BANG!
Happy Friday all!
Happy Friday! Have a fourth date with this girl tomorrow. Good News is we have really good chemistry, bad news is she was raised in a Buckeye household. Will keep the squad posted
I dated someone that went to App State for a while, but thankfully sports were the very last thing she cared about so that specific fact didn't cause any issues.
Now, if she shows up with scarlet and gray facepaint, you may have some difficult decisions to make...
Good luck and a happy friday posbang to you!
I was at a beach party in Hermosa Beach a few years ago and met the app state clown that injured Peppers for the season. He was so proud to tell me that and quickly followed up with "it was a legal play" before I could even say anything. Needless ot say I didn't enjoy his company.

I imagine that for someone with cbus roots, there's close to a non zero chance that she isn't into tOSU sports.
If you find out that her dad is also her uncle (Ohio) you better run for the hills.
Aren't the hills where the even crazier people are at? Like that documentary The Hills Have Eyes? Should probably like, run to the city instead.
Well said.
ex #2, born and raised in cbus..... with a degree from THE ohio state penitentiary.....
good luck!
Best of luck. Although both my wife and brother-in-law ended up with partners of a different race, my sis-in-law and I were both welcomed by their family well enough.
I mention this because you will be dating someone from a Buckeye family which means they're not going to be used to non-blood relative significant others, but it's 2021 and I think we're all a bit more modern in our thinking.
I killed two years of my twenties dating a girl who was a Notre Dame alum. So was her father, oldest brother, oldest sister, and middle sister. Her youngest brother was the black sheep of the family and went to Duke. I was a visitor in an unholy land.
I met my wife in Columbus and my father in law is a diehard OSU fan. Great man, but I get that joy of a conversation to deal with every Thanksgiving.
Luckily my wife is a UGa fan so I’d say I’ve come out ahead on that front, all things considered. She started off just disliking OSU because of Urban Meyer and his hardly ever losing to Georgia back in his UF days. Now she hates OSU almost as much as I do. I’d like to think her being around me the last seven and a half years had something to do with that.
I watched the epic 2006 Michigan - OSU game at a bar in Ann Arbor. There was this hot OSU fan there somehow with some friends. We exchanged regular glances the whole time. I was devastated after that loss though. She walked by and said something and I stared at her with the emptiest look and had no response and she kept going. I think about that day sometimes for a variety of reasons. Maybe she was that serial killer fan though and I caught a break.
If things take a fortuitous turn tomorrow night, whisper "JT was short" in her ear. Her response will let you know whether she's a keeper.
What if the response is she pries open your boxers and says, "yeah, well so are you"
bad news is she was raised in a Buckeye household
There's plenty of fish dude.
Remember how cringe this was?
It still is. Even in your case and with those 'chemistry' blinders on.
Bang Bang!
Which SC beach?
I'm very partial to Hilton Head. Kiawah and Isle of Palms on either side of Charleston certainly are very nice too.
We were in Savannah a couple of weeks ago. Headed up to Hilton Head for a day and then down to Saint Simons on the next. Both our beautiful beaches!
Enjoy the sun and southern hospitality!
Can’t beat east beach at St Simons.
Seabrook is also nice. Less crowded than Kiawah. Fripp is my favorite, not crowded really laid back everyone uses golf carts once on the island. Down side is you have to get amenity cards to use the pools and eat at the restaurants.
My philosophy for this weekend
Dirty Myrtle?
Three straight days of 36 holes next weekend in the Jackson area for me. Two weeks after that is the first trip with our newborn to Bellaire for memorial day. Hoping for some 2019 style tailgate days in Ann arbor and green bay next fall. Enjoy the trip!
I wish the weather was going to be nicer in Michigan this weekend but whatever, it's still the weekend!!
Which beach? We go to Fripp Island, SC every year. Love that area.
south myrtle, surfside area.... friends have a house down there and invited us to spend a week.... who could pass that up?
Nice, sound like solid friends! I will be heading that way in late July. Enjoy.
Watch "Myrtle Beach" by Sunny Ledfurd on YouTube.....and that'll tell you all you need to know to plan out your week.
BTW....it's cold and rainy in the Carolinas today. It should warm up soon.
The state park just down the road from there is a hidden gem. Huntington Beach State Park.
Also, almost directly across the street from that is Brookgreen, a top ten (top five?) in the US botanical garden. Don’t know if that’s off interest, but it’s really very pretty. Quite a stellar collection of art, especially statuary. My wife’s paintings hang in that gift shop, so I’m admittedly biased. ;-)
Hell yea! Weekend!
making seared Ahi steaks (soy honey garlic and lime glaze) and baby bok choi tonight. Tomorrow is golf, then the boys coming over for a bonfire and beers.
Sounds like a 30 pack of PBR and maybe some s'mores tomorrow night.
Have a great weekend ??
Bang, bang! Watch out for firing squads down there.
Heading to MIDLAND today! Should be just as good!
Just a fair warning that they have somewhat re-ignited the Civil War attitude down there and hate northerners for "crowding our beaches". They have no problem spending our tourism money though.
Also, don't do anything really bad or you could face a firing squad. Gotta love the south! I'd probably prefer that to a botched lethal injection, though.
I'll bang a POS. Why not! It's only a small step down from RGard's mom.
enjoy the sun!
really looking forward to a day off shore fishing and hopefully throwing some fresh Mahi Mahi on the grill
damn that sounds good...go for it
I’m heading to OBX for the first time ever in a little over a month. Can’t believe that in 32 years of living that I’ve never been, but at least now I can say I’ll have been there.
Heard nothing but good things about it.
Bang me!
I'm off to Bristol, RI, for my nephew's (he's a newly-ordained rabbi!) wedding...which of course is being kept small and mostly outdoors.
Flying in and out of Boston...so will stop and see one of my first cousins in the Boston suburbs on the way to Bristol...as well as the wife and young kids of another nephew (he'll be at the wedding but without his wife and kids).
Should be interesting being with my Trump-supporting brother and his stepsons...who are also not getting vaccinated due to, I'm guessing, not wanting the Bill Gates tracking microchip that's included with the vaccine. (Yes, I just did violate the "no politics" rule).
Is your brother a State grad?
I turn 40 on Sunday... bang me right outta my 30's!
Happy 40th!
Another notable 40th birthday in 1981: MTV (August 1).
Now repeat after me: "Get off my lawn!" Don't worry, it'll come naturally with time.
I want my MTV! Or at least I used to.
And thanks!
Ditto.
Been watching clips of Beavis and Butthead and late 80s early 90s videos on youtube lately.
WTF happened to MTV -- it's not even a shell of its former self.
POSBANGING from the Lake Superior coast!
I'll bang a POS. Why not! It's only a small step down from RGard's mom.
