Michigan 25.5 point favorite over MSU
Actually opened as 23.5 most places and quickly got bet up, in which it’s 25.5 at most shops now

It was actually 7 turnovers
October 26th, 2020 at 2:12 PM ^
5 fumbles lost;
2 interceptions;
2 turnovers on downs
9 altogether.

I'm looking forward to the emergence of the Rutger and Staee rivalry.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:26 PM ^
Correct terminology: red axe v. green axe rivalry
October 26th, 2020 at 10:23 AM ^
shouldn't we just call it the Red Lock Memorial Game?
October 25th, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
My favorite moment in that particular rivalry came in 1991 when Michigan State under George Perles managed to lose to both Rutgers and Central Michigan.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
25.5 times 2 is 51.
Let's get 51 points.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:22 PM ^
Are you also The Mathlete?
October 25th, 2020 at 6:46 PM ^
Calling it now, we hang 70
October 25th, 2020 at 8:11 PM ^
Give 'em the Rutgers 2016 treatment
October 25th, 2020 at 8:40 PM ^
I think a full Rutger is in play. I see few reasons why we couldn’t lay more points than yards gained by Sparty.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:50 PM ^
lay the points
October 25th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
What are the odds that they cancel because of Covid?!
October 25th, 2020 at 9:01 PM ^
Better than their odds of winning.
October 26th, 2020 at 8:20 AM ^
Shut up, nine and three.
October 26th, 2020 at 12:45 PM ^
3 and 9 sounds more like it
October 26th, 2020 at 4:51 PM ^
My most favorite thing about that 3-9 is that Mork's birthday is 3-9.
One of the best cosmic karma's ever.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:59 PM ^
As much as I want an epic beatdown with lots of 'Sparty, NO!' moments, they'll play us tough. We'll win, but...
October 25th, 2020 at 7:23 PM ^
You're taking the under?
October 26th, 2020 at 10:37 AM ^
I mean, I wouldn't fault anyone who does. Only one game under each teams belt - hard to try any hard conclusions about any teams after week 1
October 25th, 2020 at 7:34 PM ^
By "play us tough", they will have one scripted drive that gives them a field goal or touchdown, we make adjustments, and Michigan ends up winning 49-10.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:38 PM ^
Not a dantonio team. I’d expect less scripted success. I see many sacks in our near future
October 25th, 2020 at 7:45 PM ^
Yeah, Mork's seething obsession with Michigan prompted him to scout us pretty well, I'll give him that. That's not certain to be the case for a guy coming over from Colorado.
October 26th, 2020 at 9:43 AM ^
If Tucker isn't savvy enough to pick up on that aspect of the rivalry and completely embrace their Little Bro-ness, he's in big trouble. His season was likely to be a complete tire fire either way, just about the only thing that would salvage it would be a win over Michigan. I hope you're right (that he might not understand their Michigan-centric culture) but I REALLY hope that his approach is rendered a moot point by Michigan dominance.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:59 PM ^
Hopefully MSU arrives at the stadium with their helmets on and they slap the field before the kickoff.
Seriously, UM just beat 11-2 Minny on the road by 25 with minimal turnovers (fake punt, INT) that only led to 7 pts. Missed 3 FGs. Beat MSU by 34 last year and the talent difference has widened.
UM should win by >25.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:03 PM ^
I absolutely despise MSU. Was it mostly from Dantonio? Yes. But it's going to take some time before I feel differently, even if they had a quality person as a coach.
Last year was a wet dream. Absolute drubbing sending Dantonio out in a well deserved embarrassing fashion. This year I hope we hang 70+ on them, humiliate them, the likes of which has never been seen before!
October 26th, 2020 at 9:38 AM ^
Part of your legacy as a coach is the condition in which you left your program and it can be argued that Mark left MSU in worse condition than what he found it. For all the praise that he was showered with when MSU was successful, it vanished almost when Harbaugh and James Franklin got Michigan and PSU humming.
You're not an elite coach when the program you build can't be sustained with your departure. Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Hayden Fry, Barry Alvarez; they all built programs that endured after they stepped down. Anything we can do to further tarnish Dantonio's legacy is fine by me. Hang 60 on these assholes.
October 27th, 2020 at 8:26 AM ^
Dantonio failed at the end due to arrogance and selfishness and yes he drove the program into the ground. The damn dropped punt gave him an extension on the inevitable.
He robbed us of the enjoyment of watching him coach this season.
October 26th, 2020 at 1:29 PM ^
Hanging 70 on them would make my day......hell, my whole week. But let's be honest, that program is a train wreck. Dumbtonio just drug it down the last few years and it's showing up BIGTIME now. They just might be the worst program in the B1G and are in for a few ass-beatings this year. I mean losing to Rutgers !!!!!!!! Did I say I love it ?
October 25th, 2020 at 7:04 PM ^
Michigan 56
msu 10
October 25th, 2020 at 7:39 PM ^
How do you suppose they put up 10 points? Asking for a friend
October 25th, 2020 at 11:46 PM ^
It's going to be like 42-0 at halftime and in a season in which you really can't afford any injuries to anyone even on the two-deep, M goes to the deep bench for the 4th quarter. That's the best I could do to rationalize them scoring 10.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:05 PM ^
I say we win by 50 just to be conservative
October 25th, 2020 at 10:46 PM ^
I think we need a repeat of 1902... 119-0 Michigan.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:10 PM ^
IF no one is forced out due to a positive test, this looks like at least a 28-point victory.
49-17 sounds about right.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:12 PM ^
I'd be insulted if I were Minnesota.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:17 PM ^
I am hopeful that we can beat Worse Than Rutgers University.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:32 PM ^
Well if State can clean up the turnovers . . .and Michigan has a few turnovers. Oh who knows, but given what happened last year and last week then it should be fun.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:54 PM ^
Destroy them. Ben Mason them on the first play & SET THE TONE.
And I quote....
... it's not over, it'll never be over, it's just getting started.
-- Mork D'antisportmanonio.
Go Blue.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:55 PM ^
Is the spread for the 1st half only?
October 25th, 2020 at 7:58 PM ^
Although they lost to Rutgers, this MSU team shouldn't be taken lightly. It was the first game of the season, and let's be real, first games can be challenging.
And they still had a chance to win after turning the ball over 7! times... MSU will be alright and I expect them to bring the house on Saturday.
October 25th, 2020 at 8:05 PM ^
They were down 18 to Rutgers in the 4th. Calling that a chance to win is being generous.
Rutgers still doesn’t have much talent on either side of the ball. Yet somehow they were able to cause 7 turnovers and score 38 puts vs MSU.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:07 PM ^
BTN showed Dwumfour as 1 of their 2 impact players on defense... yea they’ve got talent issues.
October 25th, 2020 at 8:11 PM ^
October 25th, 2020 at 8:48 PM ^
The same Rutgers team that hasn’t won a BIG in 3 years?
The same Rutgers team that loses on an average of 50-10?
The same Rutgers team that was up 18 and gave up a meaningless cosmetic TD at the end to make the game look closer than it really was?
Sure they will try their best on Saturday but the talent gap between the teams is going to Grand Canyon gap size
my thought is that Jim will want to ‘welcome’ Tucker to the game and set a clear statement on the pecking order.....
And I’m pretty confident that we will be enjoying it...
October 25th, 2020 at 9:32 PM ^
Not to mention that Rutgers lost 27-0 to MSU last season, in Piscataway.
October 26th, 2020 at 12:26 AM ^
They also got 3 turnovers too. Maybe Rutgers doesn't win without all the gifts, but it's not as fluky as you make it out to be. The lack of talent and playmakers was palpable on both sides of the ball for MSU. They got out athleted on many occasions, by Rutgers.
October 26th, 2020 at 8:40 AM ^
I'm sure i'll be hated for this. This is what it would take for us to beat OSU.
October 26th, 2020 at 11:14 AM ^
Sorry, but I respectfully disagree with you. MSC is ludicrously bad this year and our boys will be ready to play on Saturday.
October 25th, 2020 at 8:00 PM ^
Right, but what about for the second half?
