If Tucker isn't savvy enough to pick up on that aspect of the rivalry and completely embrace their Little Bro-ness, he's in big trouble.  His season was likely to be a complete tire fire either way, just about the only thing that would salvage it would be a win over Michigan.  I hope you're right (that he might not understand their Michigan-centric culture) but I REALLY hope that his approach is rendered a moot point by Michigan dominance.

Hopefully MSU arrives at the stadium with their helmets on and they slap the field before the kickoff.

Seriously, UM just beat 11-2 Minny on the road by 25 with minimal turnovers (fake punt, INT) that only led to 7 pts. Missed 3 FGs. Beat MSU by 34 last year and the talent difference has widened.

UM should win by >25.

I absolutely despise MSU. Was it mostly from Dantonio? Yes. But it's going to take some time before I feel differently, even if they had a quality person as a coach.

Last year was a wet dream. Absolute drubbing sending Dantonio out in a well deserved embarrassing fashion. This year I hope we hang 70+ on them, humiliate them, the likes of which has never been seen before!

Part of your legacy as a coach is the condition in which you left your program and it can be argued that Mark left MSU in worse condition than what he found it.  For all the praise that he was showered with when MSU was successful, it vanished almost when Harbaugh and James Franklin got Michigan and PSU humming.

You're not an elite coach when the program you build can't be sustained with your departure.  Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Hayden Fry, Barry Alvarez; they all built programs that endured after they stepped down.  Anything we can do to further tarnish Dantonio's legacy is fine by me.  Hang 60 on these assholes.

Hanging 70 on them would make my day......hell, my whole week.  But let's be honest, that program is a train wreck.  Dumbtonio just drug it down the last few years and it's showing up BIGTIME now.  They just might be the worst program in the B1G and are in for a few ass-beatings this year.  I mean losing to Rutgers !!!!!!!!   Did I say I love it ?

Well if State can clean up the turnovers . . .and Michigan has a few turnovers.  Oh who knows, but given what happened last year and last week then it should  be fun.

Destroy them.  Ben Mason them on the first play & SET THE TONE.

Although they lost to Rutgers, this MSU team shouldn't be taken lightly.  It was the first game of the season, and let's be real, first games can be challenging.

And they still had a chance to win after turning the ball over 7! times...  MSU will be alright and I expect them to bring the house on Saturday.

The same Rutgers team that hasn’t won a BIG in 3 years?

The same Rutgers team that loses on an average of 50-10?

The same Rutgers team that was up 18 and gave up a meaningless cosmetic TD at the end to make the game look closer than it really was?

Sure they will try their best on Saturday but the talent gap between the teams is going to Grand Canyon gap size

my thought is that Jim will want to ‘welcome’ Tucker to the game and set a clear  statement on the pecking order.....

And I’m pretty confident that we will be enjoying it...

They also got 3 turnovers too. Maybe Rutgers doesn't win without all the gifts, but it's not as fluky as you make it out to be. The lack of talent and playmakers was palpable on both sides of the ball for MSU. They got out athleted on many occasions, by Rutgers.
