So... who are you cheering for?
Interesting segment on the show before Game Day going through who the Big Ten and PAC teams should cheer for this season (it was funny to watch MSU get roasted), which led to the conversation in my house of who to cheer for this season. I hadn't thought about this for one moment before that segment and now... I need to settle on a (temporary) team. Who are you all going with?

Saw Varsity’s horns off ??

What, like from the SEC? Lol their season isn't going to happen. Keeping college students isolated without admitting they are employees and not students is impossible. They'll try to play in spite of safety- I mean clearly- but eventually even for the soulless SEC fans it'll end.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:12 AM ^
Hey california (LOL), the ACC is playing today and the SEC is a week away so yeah it looks like it’s gonna happen.

“Lol their season isn't going to happen.”
Pretty sure it is...
September 12th, 2020 at 11:19 AM ^
As for who to cheer for, only Michigan. No one else. But I love football so I just hope theres good games to enjoy.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:20 AM ^
Not Notre Dame.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:21 AM ^
If it were any other year, I’d cheer for the meteor; but given the year we’ve had, I’ll shut up now.

Iowa State

The Lions. I've found I have zero interest in college football this year. Never thought I'd say that.

Michigan

UAB and TBD. Go Blazers!!!
September 12th, 2020 at 11:57 AM ^
SaturdayDownSouth assigned each Big 10 fanbase a SEC team to cheer for a couple months back. We got Florida so that the fans have something to talk about once we meet again in the next bowl game

Iowa State
Matt Campbell is one of the best coaches in the country and quite likable, at that.
And one might not believe it but they actually do play some defense there.
September 12th, 2020 at 4:23 PM ^
They might want to put some effort into special teams going forward.
You're right about their defense, but at some point they need to find themselves a legitimate QB. Brock Purdy was absolutely awful in every way today.
September 12th, 2020 at 12:10 PM ^
College football is weird because it’s a game you mostly root against teams. Having rooted for any team ranked above Michigan to lose as well as our usual MSU, ND,OSU trifecta to lose for 40 years, I find it difficult to actually root for anyone. Plus I’m jealous that all these other teams get to play.

I'm adopting Kansas and our boy Les Miles for the season. Rock Chalk!
September 12th, 2020 at 12:20 PM ^
Just moved to Kansas. Flipping a coin between Kansas and K State.
September 13th, 2020 at 8:31 AM ^
Heads: KU wins
Tails: KSU wins
The flip: ...
The coin landed on its side and stayed that way.

Gotta root for Cajun Brady Hoke and the Tigahs. Just until the B1G returns.
September 12th, 2020 at 1:47 PM ^
My sister in law is a big LSU fan, so I will also root for LSU. Hope they destroy Alabama. When he was first hired everyone on this board was calling him Cajun Hoke and after his first season I thought the same but we all got proven wrong.
September 12th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
Yeah I just love his fire and passion. We just have to see how he does post Joe Brady and Burrow. Would love to see them beat the brakes off Saban in Death Valley. Probably my most anticipated game this year. That and ND vs Clemson. Go Tigers in both.
September 12th, 2020 at 4:30 PM ^
It's amazing that fans simply didn't think he could improve as a HC after his Ole Miss experience. He did a great job keeping that USC team together 5 or so years ago as an interim and did the same at LSU prior to getting the full-time job.
He has the Head Coach skill set you want: great, great recruiter; not afraid to delegate; not afraid to admit he was wrong. How many coaches would have canned Canada after a season? The guy knows exactly who he is, what he's good at and what he needs to delegate to others.
September 12th, 2020 at 12:37 PM ^
I'm cheering for the Big10 to come to their senses so we can watch good football and not Ark St. vs. Kansas St.

Every underdog.
September 12th, 2020 at 12:51 PM ^
Nobody. Don't care about the other conferences/teams that are playing.
Writing this whole year off.......
GO BLUE!!!

The B1G to pull their heads out of their asses and stop placating the shrill, terrified minority.

UTSA. Soon-to-be the CFP Champs!!!
September 12th, 2020 at 1:09 PM ^
My wife's team KSU. They probably are good enough to make a bowl game this season. Watching live football really makes me miss Michigan football. Oh well, it will be a long wait until the 2021 season or even longer if we have to wait for the 2022 or 2023 for Michigan football.
September 12th, 2020 at 1:22 PM ^
After his 17 surgeries, definitely cheering for Alex Smith.
September 12th, 2020 at 1:40 PM ^
Don’t care, won’t be cheering for anyone. Will, however, be cheering against Alabama and Clemson. And ND, of course.
September 12th, 2020 at 1:47 PM ^
I attend UNC so guess I'll just be disappointed by a different team this year...
September 12th, 2020 at 1:48 PM ^
Cheering for a full season with minimal breakouts that create no real stoppage. So that way OSU is forced to sit back and watch helplessly as its dreams wither away and die, while other teams play for a title in their stead.
I don’t actually care who wins it all. Aside from ND, but they’re not good enough to beat an Alabama or Clemson in the playoffs anyway. So even if they make it they’re not winning it all.
September 12th, 2020 at 1:59 PM ^
Our D looks stellar! We are shutting out number 8 CO! Up 10-0 at halftime. I'm reliving the '97 season. This game was on September 13th back in '97..

The health and welfare of all the student athletes.
September 12th, 2020 at 2:29 PM ^
I’ve realized not cheering for Michigan and rooting against Ohio State has made my Saturday a lot more relaxing. Still sucks Michigan isn’t playing. Go Clemson, go UNC. I guess I’ll cheer those two teams on.
September 12th, 2020 at 3:01 PM ^
Looking in on the Notre Dame Duke game - what's the point in limiting the crowd size if you are just going to let them all group up next to each other?
September 12th, 2020 at 3:09 PM ^
My Hail Mary is Duke over ND cause I like the underdog. Although Dame is going to get it done.
September 12th, 2020 at 3:20 PM ^
Right now? Cheering for Duke!

ramblin' Wreck!
Cuz this ain't your father's Georgia Tech!
September 12th, 2020 at 4:23 PM ^
Army, Navy and Air Force are my teams this year (especially Army). The military, where real men go to play football.
When the snowflakes in the Big Ten get back to playing, I’ll root for Michigan.
September 12th, 2020 at 4:50 PM ^
I am not cheering for anyone other than my own alma mater, but as my alma mater isn't playing at the moment, I cheer for utter chaos.
September 12th, 2020 at 10:07 PM ^
Lakers, Rams and Dodgers. If Michigan and USC are not playing college football...this season is just a * and I will pretend it never happened. I refuse to watch College Football this year...what shitty, fucking leadership.
