OT: SNF - Patrick Mahomes / Shea
Anyone watching SNF? This guy is unbelievable. I think Shea’s style is similar and I fear he is trying to hard to emulate Mahomes. He has skill and can play. We all loved him last year. Shea if you’re out there, be yourself, not PM. Have a good week everyone, Go Blue!!
October 6th, 2019 at 9:08 PM ^
These two are not even in the same universe...
October 6th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
THANK YOU!!
Obviously Mahomes is better, but in college Mahomes wasn’t a nfl star in waiting, Shea was the higher rated prospect out of HS. Their styles are similar. Shea isn’t seeing the field or has no confidence or something. Its frustrating as hell.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:20 PM ^
I like when you talk in third person, Shea.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:21 PM ^
Can we all agree that once a player is several years out of high school their 247/rivals/ESP. ranking is meaningless.
October 6th, 2019 at 11:13 PM ^
Agree. Same as when people say, yeah but Harbaugh played in the NFL, won at Stanford...blah blah blah. And what has he done lately?
October 7th, 2019 at 7:43 AM ^
Dumb^^^
October 7th, 2019 at 9:06 AM ^
Maybe, but it’s also more true than I’d like it to be.
October 7th, 2019 at 10:47 AM ^
He brought Michigan out of the RR/Hoke years. Maybe he won’t be the guy to carry us to year in year out Clemson/bama level. However, to say he’s done nothing is very short sided.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
Are you kidding dude? Mahomes is the reason Baker Mayfield transferred.
Mahomes has a rocket arm. Shea has a pillow cannon for an arm.
Mahomes is also bigger and tougher. In college, Mahomes' only weakness was accuracy which can be taught. Hence why he fell a bit in the draft.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:23 PM ^
Baker got injured and lost the starting job to Davis Webb in the aftermath. They planned on going ahead with Webb, and didn't offer Baker a scholarship so he transferred before Mahomes even got there.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:35 PM ^
Dropped a bit??? He was the number 10 pick in the first round and KC gave up 2 1sts and a 3rd for him. He was projected from 13 to 38. He was a huge riser in the draft.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:51 PM ^
Mahomes is special. There are more and more guys like Shea who looked great in high school running around, avoiding high school linemen, then throwing to wide-open receivers. Shea's not the only one. Hunter Johnson at NU looks like the second coming of O'Korn.
Shea's an OK college QB, but he's in over his head. And now he's reluctant to run because he's had an injury. McCaffrey can see the field better, react to defenses better. Hopefully when he becomes the starter, they'll stop trying to use him as a runner.
October 6th, 2019 at 11:40 PM ^
Why would we want to stop using QBs as runners ? We need that QB run as a threat if we are ever going to run on a good team. If Dylan starts next year he can give it every time against bad teams, but you have to keep at least 5 times a game to keep the defense honest.
October 7th, 2019 at 12:26 PM ^
You're not wrong, I just hate that he got cheap-shotted to a multiple-game absence and it could happen again. Michigan used to run the ball great with no QB read, so it can be done.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:48 PM ^
"but in college Mahomes wasn’t a nfl star in waiting..."
In Mahomes' junior year, he led all NCAA Division 1 players in multiple categories including passing yards with 5,052 and passing touchdowns with 53. He then entered the the 2017 draft where he was the tenth overall selection by the Chiefs.
FFS.

Mineral King dazzling us with some more of his fake football knowledge.
I'm quite surprised that some in the MGoBlog community coddled and embraced this fraudulent poster.
Mineral King isn't funny, clever, or perceptive. And yet, there are people here who kinda sorta give a damn what he thinks or types.
Weird.
October 7th, 2019 at 12:18 PM ^
I agree it wasn’t out of nowhere, but like many TT QBs he was labeled originally as a system QB. He proved that wrong and as referenced above really rose up the draft boards rightfully so.
October 6th, 2019 at 11:39 PM ^
They're not playing the same sport.
October 7th, 2019 at 5:06 AM ^
I came here for the comic relief. They are similar in that they are both called QB's, but then again, so is the kid next door they plays flag on Saturday mornings.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:09 PM ^
Lol.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
Wait what?
October 6th, 2019 at 9:11 PM ^
Shea is about the same height as Drew Brees. He should stop trying to play like Brees and be himself
October 6th, 2019 at 9:13 PM ^
Not true. He’s got 2-3 inches on Brees. Im talking style anyway.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:33 PM ^
Shea is no where close to PM. Furthermore, PM was absolutely a star in waiting in college. Andy Reid dubbed him his guy and drafted with the 12 pick, trading up to get him. Shea will lucky to be drafted at all.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:15 PM ^
Fucking dumb. You are a clown poster.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:20 PM ^
Their styles are similar, but ok. You’ve been here less than a week twat. That says alot that you have the gall to say that to me. You must not know who you’re talking to.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:35 PM ^
You said Twat, and then referred to yourself as a big deal on a blog. This shit sad bro.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:46 PM ^
It’s perfectly clear that you are a dumbass.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:40 PM ^
This... Feels like something Shea Patterson might actually say ?
October 6th, 2019 at 9:16 PM ^
This is like comparing a rock to an orange.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:33 PM ^
MK, I thought I’d be the last to say it but you’ve jumped the shark. I’m really starting to doubt you’re Shea and I don’t appreciate you shattering that illusion. And this is just sad. Yes most football fans know who Patrick Mahomes is. No he has never made anyone think of Shea. I’d go underground for a few weeks then come back maybe before the State game with a post about how we need to stand behind the team and I’ll upvote the hell out of you.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:40 PM ^
I’m not anyone who has ever wore the winged helmet and I’ve never claimed to be. If you can’t see they have similar styles ??♂️
October 6th, 2019 at 10:21 PM ^
Maybe on the golf course.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:59 PM ^
Oh, hey Shea’s brother. Go on any psychopathic twitter rants lately?
October 7th, 2019 at 10:28 AM ^
What about their styles are soo similar? The fact that they both play quarterback and can throw the ball forward? The fact that they are both somewhat mobile? I mean, a lot of NFL QB's play a similar style to Mahomes, he's just a lot better at it. Mahome's ability to deliver the ball, both downfield and in traffic is incredible. The arm slots he throws from and the strength he is able to get, even when off balance, is only comparable to some of the best QBs who have played the game. But sure, a former 5* high school prospect who has failed to put up more than 10 points at home against an Iowa defense is very similar to the reigning NFL MVP...If you're going to point out similarities between Patterson and Mahomes, give some actual examples to some kind of video evidence to support it.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:43 PM ^
Realize that stuff you're smoking resembles some kind of pretty rock but it is not a mineral - it is crack cocaine.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:44 PM ^
You’re drunk, go to bed.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:46 PM ^
Pass around what you're smoking, dude.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:49 PM ^
Like all shticks here the Mineral King is Shea is played out, not funny and needs to end.
Ha ha ha OP. That's so funny....everyone thinks you're Shea so you'll make a post comparing Shea (which is secretly you) to the best QB playing football right now.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
I haven't laughed so hard since Keith Jackson's funeral.
October 6th, 2019 at 11:19 PM ^
Too soon.
October 7th, 2019 at 9:05 AM ^
Brady is better than mahomes though.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
I've actually been impressed with Jacoby Brisset so far.
Mahommes makes some amazing plays but Indy is getting a lot of pressure on him. The run around and chuck it downfield strategy isn't sustainable and he's been off on quite a few throws.
October 6th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
Funny...these Shea apologists.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Shea sucks
October 6th, 2019 at 10:14 PM ^
What the hell even is this thread?
October 6th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
Their styles are similar in that they both do QB stuff like handing the ball off to a RB, throwing to a WR or TE, etc. But, as far as the level of skill at said QB stuff, not so much.
October 6th, 2019 at 10:45 PM ^
"I think Shea’s style is similar and I fear he is trying to hard to emulate Mahomes."
I bet you're the only person on the entire planet who thinks Patterson's style is "similar" to Pat Mahomes.
