|4 weeks 1 day ago||Nope.......we were horrible||
Portland St Pats. I played varsity for 4 years and not because I was good. I was a body. No JV squad and we won our first game my freshman year and then preceeded to lose every game until the first game my senior year where we finished with 5 wins.
Worst loss was 60-0 vs Fowler. We had the privelidge to play with the first girl football player in Michigan and she was terrible. I took channel 10 over an hour to film her catching one ball. She played because she protested the killing of the XC program because there were not enough runners.
Big surprise she is a lib attny and went to state.
Since then the program turned around for a spell but now has to play 8 man football where they do OK.
I graduated with 34 kids and we played school that had 2x or more our enrollment.

The Paul Verska era. Huron sucked until he arrived. He turned them around and they appeared a state final game under his tenure. His son had a great run and held several state records. They flipped the Pioneer rivalry and was poached to go to DeLasalle where he resurrected that program to their current success.

Michigan MET is a prepay program. I buy tuition NOW at todays dollards for my 9yr old and 12 yr old.
That is exactly what I described.
To ignore the downside is foolish.
MET: Buy tuition at todays rate.
If education costs don't go up..........you didn't lose anything
If educations costs go up........you are guaranteed the rate of education.
If you don't use it you get your funds back.
No distribution issues, no issues with market correction, etc.
It is exactly what I mentioned.
|15 weeks 6 days ago||Problem is when you need the money||
What if you had to withdraw in 2000,2001,2002 2008.
YOu cant use long term historicals and just say its up. When you take distributions is the variable that you cannot control. I prefer control and options. If I had a mutual fund that could guarantee returns pegged to increase in health care or education without a risk of loss I would have billions under management.
THe asset allocation argument doesn't work in this situation because bonds are way underperforming education increases AND they have interest rate risk in what will eventually be a rising rate environment.........and they were down in the bear markets at times.
I know many who have put in more than they got out because of when the distributions were taken.

Pre-pay tuition with MET. Not a big advocate of 529's. I would rather be in coverdale IRA's but the best option in Michigan is MET.
BTW, Roth is not taxed unless you pull out more than what you put in.
To clarify why I don't like 529 it is because of transaction restrictions.
|27 weeks 6 days ago||Maybe they should suspend||
the coach of the team who only scored one bucket...........
|33 weeks 2 days ago||Scenario||
No way he coaches in SF. He is fired after all coaching vacancies are filled and sits out the year and gets paid. This is likely if he doesn't play ball with any trade situation where he won't negotiate an extension/new contract or doesn't like hamstringing his new team with a year or two of bad drafts.
|34 weeks 4 days ago||Not to be picky||
Clarkston is not 8 miles from any of those schools. It is a good 30-40 minute morning communte if not more depending on conditions etc... I live 13 minutes away from Clarkston and send my kid to a private school in Auburn Hills and we are 25 minute commute on a good day.
OLSM is about the same and Country Day even further.
Notre Dame Prep, Waterford Lady of the Lakes and Oakland Christian fit your argument but can't support it because they are terrible at football
|35 weeks 4 days ago||Upvote for me||
.......if CC is refering to him NOT coaching the Lions offense anymore.
|36 weeks 3 days ago||If still available I'll take them|
|36 weeks 3 days ago||Upvote MaizeNBlu628!!!||
Giving free tickets to fans sure trump snarky comments!
|38 weeks 1 day ago||I did link the intereview||
Thought it would be easy to just paste because it was on the second page. Instead of the "too much text crowd" I would of gotten the "what the hell does this have to do with PJ Fleck" comments.
People are lazy and complain and then when it is spoon fed they complain. But datz the internets.
|38 weeks 1 day ago||Sure||
|38 weeks 4 days ago||Green||
is a bust. He is a big back who goes down quicker than a fluffer on an adult film set.
Smith IMO has run harder and tougher than Green and he played yesterday against the same IU defense and Drake was MUCH better.
I do have to commend Hayes. I thought he would never see the field with a hand off because he fumbled a half dozen times in practice that I have seen.
I would love to be wrong about Green.
With Ty next year and if they let Drake play will make Green and Smith less important which is a good thing for us.
|38 weeks 4 days ago||Whatever Magnus||
I am also not a better coach than Hoke but it doesn't take a genius to see he is lacking. How could you be evaluating all the people you do unless you are clearly superior to others in that aspect in your coaching and talent evaluation skills.
I have seen it with my own eyes more than once.
The RB coach DOES determine the RB depth chart. That is his job.
|38 weeks 5 days ago||Freddy is a joke||
Drake was the best RB when I saw practice before injury and after.
|39 weeks 13 hours ago||Don't worry||
Brady is already working on his sunday apology for this.
|40 weeks 4 days ago||I love the irony of the Hoke hire||
You hate the redneck RR and want him gone no matter what to replace him with a Michigan Man who is less eloquent than the redneck
|40 weeks 4 days ago||you must think||
Barry Sanders sucked then.
You thought process was an excellent predictor for Lendale White as well!!
|41 weeks 2 days ago||Coaching is different||
Just because someone is a good mayor doesn't mean they would be a good governor.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||Sure.......||
Lets put a D2 guy in charge of a top 5 athletic department in the country. What could go wrong.
|43 weeks 1 day ago||Current contracts||
are good until 2022 so blackouts aren't even on the table until then. And even then the NFL can still have them
|43 weeks 3 days ago||Wow. DB missed||
his game review session yesterday with hoke
|43 weeks 3 days ago||Headset issue||
We would be able to start a progression chart on the headset......
Hoke / No headset
Graham / Bluetooth sized
|43 weeks 3 days ago||His coaching tree is tainted||
and so is Butch Jones. Don't see either happening
|46 weeks 2 days ago||The OL is about where I thought they would be||
They are not as bad as last year and there are holes for the RB's.
The major problem on the offense is that Devin is not better and Green is our 4rth best RB but he is starting.
Smith needs to get 20 carries a game
Johnson needs to get the 2nd back carries / 3rd down plays
Devin is a reboot to last year.
Play calling is worse IMO (based on ND game) but execution is better on the oline
|1 year 40 weeks ago||As long as I can short it||
always sell RB's after 5 years. Old / no good new contracts / injury probability/ too much child support
|1 year 40 weeks ago||I can confirm||
|1 year 42 weeks ago||The 2nd most common sport with brain injuries||
......is non other than soccer
I would not be surprised if there is a movement to outlaw headers in the future. They just need their Mike Webster
|1 year 51 weeks ago||Please make this happen!||
That would be wonderful. Standford's band might even admire that move.
