Of course for him he’ll probably still redshirt since he hasn’t played safety a lot. But with the way he’s built, VIPER is not out of the question either.

I look like that shirtless, but my abs are better, the best really.  I have the best body, and everybody knows it.  It's a tremendous body really, all the best people are saying it.  Big, tremendous, perfect, beautiful muscles.  I'm rich and my wife is a 10. Biggest, best muscles, great muscles on both sides - you know it, I know it, everybody knows it.

For my public speaking class I had to give an impromptu speech on the diag. These were the days of preacher Mike and that bald hippie dude with the glasses.  I started talking nonsense about who you should vote for but kept going back and forth in my example about which candidate was more interesting (better?).  I got a crowd of 50-60 people gathered for 5-6 minutes and then I concluded that you should vote for the candidate that generates the most headlines because in the end it’s just entertainment.

I got a huge groan and a number of obscenities thrown at me.

(you should vote because it matters.)

Sucks for him. What are the chances of fracturing both collarbones at once?

That's the only possible explanation for those shoulders...right?

I used to go to the gym 3 times a week and had a decent amount of muscle mass. Through quarantine I've lost most of that muscle mass and just stepped on the scale this past week and I'm the same exact weight I was pre quarantine. So apparently I've replaced all my muscle with fat

I miss the gym. I feed off other’s energy. A good alternative is to buy a used Soloflex on eBay for $100. They’re near $2k new ,have the at least 2 exercises for each muscle and don’t need much space. Combined with a jump rope and dumb bells you’ve got a decent home gym.

You would've been proud of me today, doing the northern Michigan version of a hillbilly pentathlon.  Swam in smallish lake that was very nice but had crayfish the size of tennis shoes. Then a mountain bike and run with daughters.  Then bucking and limbing (chainsaw work) some larger trees with the sons, then football with all 5 of them.

Mmmm... Crayfish. Is that the preferred nomenclature? I grew up calling them crawdads. Sounds like you'll be sleeping soundly tonight.

I set up a Gmail account with my username here preceding the @gmail.com address. Shoot me a line when you get a chance.

This past season SR Josh Metellus was 6’0 218 but FR RJ Moten is already 6’0 213 that’s insane. I think he will benefit the most from Shoop as he’s already an athletic freak he just needs to learn the position. Also did he get drafted in baseball?

I disagree with you big time. I think he's going to be a superstar. I think that he was often tired from being asked to do so much offensively, and occasionally let his raw form and technique get a little lazy due to fatigue. I think he absolutely can play either safety spot, Viper, or weak side linebacker.

A superstar? If he's going to play safety, what safety has been a superstar at Michigan in the last 20 years? If he's going to play Viper, the only superstar has been Jabrill Peppers, and Moten's not on Peppers's level.

Also, if he's already 213 pounds, he's already pretty big for a safety. If he continues to get bigger...there's no real precedent for him playing safety.

It's hard to say whether offense/fatigue had anything to do with it. That's pure projection. You might be right, or you might not.

I'm not convinced on Moten either way. He's kind of a boom-or-bust guy. But I just don't see evidence that he should be playing safety in the Big Ten, and he's not physical enough to be a linebacker. So something has to change.

I agree that he's going to move to Viper. I disagree that he doesnt have the hips/change of direction for safety though. He's just big enough to move to Viper or Will.

He's not flawless, but he's an elite football player and an elite baseball player and has played so many positions he hasn't focused on one. I think when he gets a year under his belt, he's going to be a superstar. I love everything about him.

LeMond called out Armstrong for years, knowing he was juiced.  I didn't realize until I recently viewed the 30 for 30 offering "Slaying the Badger" about LeMond and Hinault the interesting backstory there.  Also, LeMond won the Tour in '89 after recovering from a shotgun blast in a hunting accident.  His brother-in-law shot him while turkey hunting and lead pellets lodged in his body and still remain today in his heart and liver, slowly poisoning him.
