Stopped watching for a bit but thought I'd get back to him. Congrats Jesse! (3 M players in the first 3 rounds!)

A little bit of a counter strike story, but Jesse is from Seattle.  I live in Seattle.  Anyway a friend of mine randomly spoke with Jesse’s mom last week and said that they weren’t super hopeful that he’d be drafted today.  Thinking possibly late 5th round if at all.  So being drafted in the 3rd must be a huge thrill for the Franklin family.

As a fan of the Braves, I'm really happy with this pick! He's one of 4 college players the Braves drafted and the only position player (3 pitchers).

Didn't realize he was drafted by the Mariners out of HS, but opted to attend Michigan. Love it.

He’s the definition of a “toolsy” player, as they say in draft lingo.

“We like the makeup, the strength, the body, the swing,” Brown said. “He’ll grow into some power. I saw it more so in batting practice, so he’s got some raw power. Because of the swing and the way it looks, we feel like he’ll be able to get into a lot of that power.”

Looking forward to see him suit up for Atlanta!

Anyone know what type of signing bonus these kids can expect? Son’s friend was drafted in the 4th round as a college junior and was wondering what type of offer he might get.
