OT: SNF - Patrick Mahomes / Shea
Anyone watching SNF? This guy is unbelievable. I think Shea’s style is similar and I fear he is trying to hard to emulate Mahomes. He has skill and can play. We all loved him last year. Shea if you’re out there, be yourself, not PM. Have a good week everyone, Go Blue!!

This dude is getting way too many negs...
Stylistically they are similar. Just like you can compare high school players stylistically to someone in the pros. Doesn’t mean they’re anywhere close I’m the same universe.

The only similarity I see is that both QBs tend to improvise. Mahomes successfully, and Shea unpredictably...

One of them won his game this weekend and the other trails by 9 points with less than 4 minutes left in the 4th qtr as a 9.5 point favorite...I know who is having the better weekend. Do you? ?

Yes, Mahommes

Wrong. Mahomes lost. Have you figured out what the goal of a QB is yet?

Shea is a combination of Tom Brady and Denard Robinson. If you can’t see that I don’t know what to tell you...

I agree, He runs like Tom and throws like Denard

Probably worse than my Bielema-Harbaugh post.

I saw Mahomes play a preseason game his rookie year (he sat behind Alex Smith that year because Andy Reid had the foresight to view Mahomes as a long-term investment). It was obvious from his first drive that he was special—his vision, his decisiveness, his accuracy all made it look easy. It was obvious that he was a future star. After the game he was all my friends and I could talk about. It was just unbelievable, especially since he wasn't getting the hype that a lot of first round rookie QBs get (since Reid had decided to start Smith for the season, it probably lowered expectations).
Watching Shea, I don't see any of that. If you look at the scramble touchdown Mahomes had last night, it was completely outside Shea's (and almost all other QBs) abilities. He threw like a 50 yard TD pass running and hit a receiver who had already gone to the ground directly in the chest. The only QB that is somewhat comparable to Mahomes is Aaron Rodgers.
If you want to compare Shea to another QB, Tate Forcier is your man. Shea freaking out and scrambling all over the place isn't comparable to what Mahomes does. Mahomes avoids pressure and throws precise bombs. He also stands in the pocket and throws precise bombs. Dude is a generational talent.
