Does the Big House dip below 100K attendance next week?
September 21st, 2019 at 5:39 PM ^
Dude. Cmon. Fuck off.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
Get over yourself. Some of us are realistic with what we see. Keep living in your dream world.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:55 PM ^
Nah. Get over your self. There are shit loads of people that would love the opportunity to go to the big house and see this team play. Lots of talent just need to dial it in. Sorry its not working out exactly like you thought it would. Go cry in your corner.
September 21st, 2019 at 7:59 PM ^
Lol, ok. Go ahead and go, no one is stopping you.
Yep, just need to dial it in. That's all its gonna take, maybe 5 more years and Harbaugh will figure it out.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:39 PM ^
Not next week
September 21st, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
Even if it looks like that at the stadium, they'll still announce 100,000 because of the tickets they sold for the game. So, the official attendance will always be 100,000 no matter what it looks like.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
No it doesn’t.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
Probably need to show up to enjoy the only guaranteed win the rest of the season
September 21st, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
I don't think any thing is a guarantee with this team.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:55 PM ^
After Army and this game I believe you might be on to something
September 21st, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
Man, what is Iowa going to do to this team?
September 21st, 2019 at 5:40 PM ^
Actual attendance, or tickets sold? No question the "official" attendance will be 100k+, no chance there are actually 100k there.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:41 PM ^
Does attendance bragging rights matter anymore since the 100K streak ended a 6 years ago?
September 21st, 2019 at 5:41 PM ^
My buddy was giving me his 2 tix. I live in Chicago. I’m not going now. Don’t want to waste the weather on the drive and the game. Golf it’s going to be.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:43 PM ^
We probably beat them, at least.
September 22nd, 2019 at 12:28 AM ^
Maybe
September 21st, 2019 at 5:44 PM ^
they will prob crush Rugers and everyone will say the ship is righted....NOT...that was perhpas one the all time WORST performances of a Michigan team...it was Embarassing ....we are looking at 4 or 5 losses easily this year
September 21st, 2019 at 5:44 PM ^
We've just fudged the numbers in the past, doesn't really matter how many people actually show up. We will count ants on the field until we get to 100,001.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:45 PM ^
Even if it does, Michigan will still say it is over 100K. Tickets already bought but people who don't show up still get counted. Everyone in the stadium gets counted.
IIRC the 2 tickets for a Coke game (Minn?) had empty pockets but was still 100K and the crowd booed because they knew it was not true.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:48 PM ^
Yep. Minny it was.
Hence the rationale behind my post above. Clearly there were entire sections of grey in the stadium but yet attendance was still announced over 100K.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
The one good thing about a bad season is you get to take the family to the game for cheap.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
The AD will just lie no matter how obvious it is to protect their precious streak.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
I'll be there.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:47 PM ^
Why do some people feel the need to take the negativity to such lengths of stupidity?
Oh I guess that's me
September 21st, 2019 at 5:48 PM ^
It should. Who wants to watch this crap.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
No. The ticketholders love having a Michigan Man at the helm.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:52 PM ^
The dumbest idea the athletic dept has ever pushed. The Michigan Man thing should have died when Bo passed. It doesn't work. I don't know what the answer is, but based in the quality of play and the miserable coaching, Harbaugh and his staff are not the answer.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
When you count the ushers, the band and concessions people you can easily get 100k. It's a joke.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
So frustrated. I already was going to the game while my wife went to the Jason Aldean concert with a friend. Need to reconsider. I'm going to be an a-hole all week because of today. I better go to the concert with her now as opposed to sending her there with a bunch of cowboys who haven't been a jerk to her all week.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:50 PM ^
LOL, no. That is ridiculous to think.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:52 PM ^
Gotta imagine most fans will wanna turn out for a game where wolverines might have a shot at winning! Should be cumpetitive at least LOL
September 21st, 2019 at 5:52 PM ^
If you want more....demand more. Michigan has the resources to be the best......we are under achieving
September 21st, 2019 at 5:53 PM ^
free hot dogs
September 21st, 2019 at 5:53 PM ^
Attendance over 100,000 will be based on tickets sold, not people passing through the gates.
Actual attendance(especially if the weather is nice)will be below 100,000.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:54 PM ^
It might be the last chance to see the home team win a game this season
September 21st, 2019 at 5:55 PM ^
Maybe by OSU when they've dropped 2 or 3 more. But it'll probably be filled with OSU fans then.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:57 PM ^
Weather is still too nice to just go bowling.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:58 PM ^
Doesn’t matter if it’s under or over 100,000. The AD has lied before about that magic number. They will again.
September 21st, 2019 at 5:59 PM ^
I'll be there with my dad. Excited to get back to the Big House for the first time this year. It doesn't really matter that they look a lot worse than we were hoping. It'll be a fun day. I may question that after the game if they lose, but I'll look forward to it for now.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:00 PM ^
Hopefully
September 21st, 2019 at 6:01 PM ^
No. They don't count actual attendance, just tickets.
Wasn't it just last game they announced during the TV broadcast a record of attendance for x number years. Those years included large areas of empty seats. Think free tickets with purchase of coke.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:02 PM ^
There is no system in place to fact-check whatever number the AD claims is at the game. For this reason, the streak of 100k in attendance is likely not even legitimate. Many suspected Brandon fudged the numbers and Warde might do the same if that's the position he finds himself in.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:02 PM ^
This gets explained about once a week and somehow some people never understand it.
At Michigan Stadium - like every other sports venue in North America - attendance is based on tickets sold (plus press/field passes distributed). It is not a physical count of everyone at the stadium, and has not been for a long time.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:10 PM ^
Well I’m going so that’s 1.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:13 PM ^
News Flash: Attendance has dipped below 100K many times since "the 100K sellout record".
Tickets (allegedly) sold is not the same as butts in the seats. If the weather is bad next week, there will be less than 100K in attendance.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
As a season ticket holder from PA I'll be there to watch the Rutgers route. I still have faith in this team to be competitive moving forward, and I'm sure 99,999 others with tickets do too.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:20 PM ^
You suck, and you're not a Michigan fan.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:21 PM ^
Yes. But they will keep the big lie alive. Let's get real. Just be truthful with where this program is at. Michigan could not go into any top team stadium and win. Mississippi St. Oregon Oklahoma St. Iowa St. Florida St. Virginia Tennessee Arizona St. Utah UCF Auburn Kentucky Washington St. ......do we win any of those games?????
September 21st, 2019 at 6:23 PM ^
Wait for the osu game. There will be 60,000 people in red. Just another embarrassment for this season.
