Yes, it looked pretty bad.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
Bad meaning good?
April 26th, 2019 at 11:23 AM ^
I didn't like it. But I am more of a traditional suit guy.

That picture is bad ass.

Seriously, if dwayne haskins wore that we would be calling him out.
this is likely true - then again Dwayne Haskins is a Buckeye douche bag (redundancy noted) and Devin Bush is a doom squirrel

I'm old, but I raised 3 very fashionable daughters. I actually like the concept, but it fell down on the execution.
The white strap thing is a trend--wearing a bib-type object over a suit. I'm not crazy about the trend, but I get it. The problem is the suit jacket underneath is very traditional and almost bland. It also doesn't fit him--too loose. Get a tailored suit, Devin! You've got the Benjamins now.
The white t-shirt isn't enough to give it the pop of white and contrast that a traditional tuxedo look does with a big field of white against black. That field of white is what makes 007 and Men in Black so bad-ass. The T also makes me wonder if the cuffs are just sewn into the coat or is it some weird button up shirt that's been cut up.
Biggest issue, to me, is the slacks look like they are a different material than the coat. They don't match at all. Like he found slacks he liked, pulled a separate coat off a rack, and then stuck the bib-type object over top to try to make it all match. Major faux pas.
If you're going to take a fashion risk, you have to get the details perfect.

The first dress code UFR I've seen on this site!

the material on the bib-thing also seems off. Looks like it's the cheap type of stuff that party city halloween costumes are made out of
April 26th, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
I love this detail, it's like a suit UFER.

Chart?
As close as I'll get to a chart:
Concept
Fashion forward-ish with push of current trend. +.5
Tailoring
Coat loose, slit in slacks creates no break and they're too long, get a tailor! -1
Shoes
Seriously, cutting the slacks to show those? You're a millionaire, time for adult shoes. -1
Accessories
Glasses are cool, headphones give the can't be arsed look of a model. +1 (-.5 for silver chain against white)
Pose
Torso not at 1/4, toes out, slouched, and missed the mark--cover up that X. -1
Coordination
Wrong fabric, wrong colors, wrong cuffs with wrong shirt. Just wrong. -2
Total
-4

Head of Fashion UFRs right here! Nice analysis!
April 26th, 2019 at 12:41 PM ^
I come to this blog for the sports, I stay for the fashion analysis.
I thought he had a bum shoulder.
Absolutely agree that the jacket looks downright frumpy. and the pants look like they're from a track suit with white flare side stripes?
That's outfit's good!
Mmmm hmmmm. Good and terrible.
Sorry he is injured; glad the Steelers took a flyer on him anyway.

Loved it...

Love Devin. Greatest defender at Michigan since Woodson.
But someday he's going to regret he wore that look on such a huge night. I know I already do.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
That was a choice. Not my personal aesthetic but I do enjoy seeing something new/different. Looking forward to hearing about him on Sundays.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
I thought, "dang he must have hurt his shoulder." I even asked my friend if he'd ever seen a brace like that. Then I realized, oh, that's intentional.
In my defense, I was drinking the last of my Enjoy by 4:20 from Stone, it's pretty strong
April 26th, 2019 at 11:53 AM ^
I don’t think it was the drinking, I thought the same thing.
April 26th, 2019 at 12:07 PM ^
I thought the same thing and momentarily wondered if I was confused as to whether Bush or Gary had a shoulder injury.

I guess I'm getting old................reminds me of something they would have worn in Back to the Future II
April 26th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
Loved it. I wouldn’t personally wear it, but I’m all for being creative and not trying to look like everyone else.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
I love you Devin, but I have to assume you lost a bet. Fantasy football bets can be brutal.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:18 AM ^
A young stud athlete like him can pull it off and look good. An old man like me would look foolish. I love it though
April 26th, 2019 at 11:18 AM ^
I could probably get rich as a fashion designer. It appears all you have to do is combine random shit.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:19 AM ^
I kinda like the jacket? Not for me, but I'm 43 and I don't have a cool chest tat to show off.
The pants make it look like he's bow-legged or pigeon-toed.
Either way, he now has enough money to look trashy. Congrats, Devin!
April 26th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
It just made me think he was injured. Looked like a sling that he'd pulled his arm out of temporarily. My first thought was, "I thought Rashan had a bad shoulder, what happened to Devin?"
April 26th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
He was simply waiting for Wesley Snipes to show up so we could find out who's bad.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:23 AM ^
one word: cursed

April 26th, 2019 at 11:40 AM ^
My sister-in-law like to wear slings for her baby so she can carry the thing around hands free. This reminds me of that. So not good imho. But it's cool. He can afford a real suit now.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:41 AM ^
Makes me think of Larry Blackmon in the "Word Up" video, except without the red codpiece.
April 26th, 2019 at 11:52 AM ^
The white t-shirt underneath made me think Michael Jordan was going to show up and give him a package of Hanes undershirts.
I think Devin should bring a suit against the guy who sold him that suit. It's hideous. I thought the strap thingy was a medical device supporting an injured shoulder. Not a good look for someone trying to get a team to draft him.

It looked awful but these young guys are always just trying to push the envelope and get that wow factor, so I guess he succeeded.
I believe the suit was designed by a UM art student also, which is kind of cool.

"I believe the suit was designed by a UM art student also, which is kind of cool."
As a graduate of UM's art school (long before the barnacle of the Stamps name was attached to it), I would not take this sartorial disaster as anything to applaud.
