I'm happy as hell about this since I live here!! Lot of MI people live here, we should have a lot of support at the game. For all of your traveling, it will be a good time. Much better city to be in then Jacksonville.

I live in the Phoenix area and haven't been able to travel a reasonable distance to a Michigan game in I don't even know how long. Really looking forward to this, assuming it's accurate.

Copper Bowl: still one of the best lost bowl names.

If they had started it today, and it didn't have a sponsor name, they'd have just called it the Arizona Bowl.  Place-named bowls, with one exception (Las Vegas) are almost as grating as corporate-named bowls.  They're boring and unimaginative.

I think its a matchup Michigan can win. And right now with varied opinions about Peppers and other recruits I'll take a winnable game over a sexy matchup resulting in another loss.

What a shitty draw. Beating Kansas State doesn't really gain any attention, and even if it is a good game (like last year's bowl game) nobody will be awake to see it. Not much to gain. I don't recall many recruiting battles with Kansas State, and I don't recall grabbing many recruits from the state of Arizona.

Didn't the NFL Network use to cover this game?  I think they had to change networks because nobody had that channel in the early days and nobody watched the game.

Boring.  We can easily lose yet another bowl game, yet we get credit for nothing if we win it.

Big letdown after talk about a matchup with Georgia or LSU and the Hat.

This is a great thing for us. After the 2011 season MSU went to the Outback and we go there the next year. After 2012 MSU goes to the BWW Bowl and then we go the next year. After 2013 MSU goes to the Rose Bowl and I think you are getting what I'm saying here.

Not the most exciting, but at 7-5 you really can't complain.  Whatever, it's a new destination and I don't take bowls for granted any more.

This seems like the perfect bowl for 7-5 Michigan. A bowl no one cares about, against a team no one cares about, on a day no one cares about. Thank you Al Borges.

It will be mid to low 40s with zero humidity, which feels much colder than the temperature suggests.

This game is poorly attended regardless of the teams so players/coaches yelling etc. is very audible for TV viewers.

I can't believe the negative talk about Everbank Field.  You see the playing surface?  Denard Dilithium Robinson runs on that playing surface.  See the locker room?  Denard Robinson hangs his jock strap in that locker room.  And you're telling me Michigan should be playing a bowl game outside of the Gator Bowl?  We have tradition in the Gator Bowl.  Michigan tradition.  And that's something no one else has.

The main value in this game will be the additional practice & experience.  I can't imagine the seniors would be thrilled since they all remember the Sugar Bowl two years ago.

This is something they couldn't possibly get away with, but it makes more sense to retire the seniors early (at least where there's any depth at all) and just field returning starters at the bowl game.  The coaches might try to sneak in more heavy rotation if they were clever, but they're not clever, so expect Lewan, Toussaint and Gallon to play every down in a close game.
