Gibbons Appreciation Thread III
I felt it was necessary to give a shout out to Gibbons, my favorite primate.
How many other primates can leap up to 8 meters from tree to tree and walk bipedely.
Not many dammit.
They are the fastest and most agile of all tree-dwelling, non-flying mammals.
I'll be accepting many upvotes and all of your MGoPoints.
Thx.

Ok fine, take the upvote. I don't even care anymore.

Thanks for upvote, have a badass Gibbon.

So if I make a Butt appreciation thread, how long until it gets pulled? I'll accept a Gibbons Butt in lieu of a direct answer.

Don't forget that according to Brian they also code for Scout reporting service website. Talented little buggers... though I'm not sure it's the most efficient way Scout could have gone about things.

It's obvious that they love swinging around just for the hell of it, isn't it? I wonder if males do it to impress the lady gibbons...

Chronologically, I have stolen your joke. In descending order, you have stolen mine. Since I didn't scroll down before making it, I feel we are at a stalemate.

Hopefully one day we have a player with the last name of Otter so we can have Otter appreciation threads.
November 20th, 2013 at 12:41 AM ^
THAT WOULD BE OTTER MADNESS.

Being neither sane nor entirely sober after 14 hours of storm duty last night, I initially deleted all the other Gibbons threads save for the original, but then I quickly realized - as I read all these tabs of unpublished threads - the value in having a thread about gibbons.
Apologies for the temporary inconvenience.

IT'S OKAY LSACLASSOF2000. IT'S HARD TO SEPERATE THE TRUE GIBBONS APPRECIATION THREADS FROM THE POSER GIBBONS THREADS. HOPEFULLY DTE CAN GET THE POWERGRID FIXED SO YOU CAN GET SOME SLEEP.
FOR NOW, ENJOY THESE "WE APPRECIATE THE WORK THE MODS DO HERE" GIBBONS.

Praise for Gibbons and Gibbons!
Truer words cannot be spoken!

No ZZ Top guitarist pix in this thread? That's criminal neglect by this community.

I'm bummed that I missed out on all the fun yesterday with all the Gibbons appreciation threads. I had back to back work meetings, otherwise I would have enjoyed one of my favorite times of the year- when Mgoblog goes bonkers creating appreciation thread upon appreciation thread. Seriously, I love that brief moment in time where we all act like children with our posts, before settling back into civilized society.

They're also one of very few primates (or mammals; roughly 2%) that form monogomous pair bonds.
(Behavioral Primatology was one of my favorite classes at UM.)
