I think we're all seeing that Wiscy's offensive output so far this season may have something to do with the competition. I know OSU is doing well defensively, but this offense relies so heavily on running downhill, and when that isn't the case I don't know if they have a second gear.

But I think the difference is that Miller can create with his arm or his legs, while Stave is really just an average thrower with very limited mobility. Every team needs to have some form of a running game as well as a passing one, but Wiscy has always struck me as a squad that is immensely better with a lead and just running at you 40-50 times a game. You take that away and ask them to throw the ball, I'm not sure they can do much with it. Compare that to OSU, who really can stretch the field at times even with a passer with some accuracy issues.

Only took Oregon 1:33 to score against Cal. Over / under on Oregon's point total in the first half?
September 28th, 2013 at 10:51 PM ^
Or 48.
September 28th, 2013 at 10:52 PM ^
I'll take the over. I'm thinking 52.

TD Wisconsin. They keep it a game with plenty left in the 4th quarter

Lacks effort. 2/10. Would not recruit.

love him. Owning Roby tonight
I'd love to see Gallon get 1x1 coverage from Ohio

Or if they hadn't committed an illegal procedure when they recovered the muffled fumble...
September 28th, 2013 at 10:56 PM ^
or if they hadn't missed a chip shot field goal
September 28th, 2013 at 10:49 PM ^
I'll take a nice 3 and out by the OSU offense, or a defensive score.
September 28th, 2013 at 10:49 PM ^
This game (Wisc-Ohio) isn't over yet. If Wisc can avoid shooting itself in the foot, it can still win this.
September 28th, 2013 at 10:50 PM ^
SHould easily be winning this game. Not big, but winning. The self inflicted wounds are awful.
For everyone saying we will be able to take OSU through the air like Stave is, they have a legit running game...we do not. They have to load the box to stop the Wisky backs, they will not have to do that against us unless something changes in a hurry.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:01 PM ^
And Wisky's vaunted run game has been contained very well thus far in this game.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:06 PM ^
I'd counter that UM has much better receivers than Wiscy, which is basically Abbrederis and nobody else. I'm not saying that isn't a bit of a Gallon situation, but I trust Dileo, Funchess, and Chesson a bit more than Wiscy's other receivers.

If I were a WSU student and they moved the marquee game of the season off campus I would be irate.
September 28th, 2013 at 10:59 PM ^
And they're basically telling the world that their in-state rival (UW) is located in a cooler city by playing there.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:00 PM ^
It's a good thing our AD would never mess with cherished traditions like moving our most important game from the last day of the season.
Oh, wait . . .

Dave Brandon has no idea what you're talking about
September 28th, 2013 at 11:02 PM ^
I'm pretty sure Bama was never scheduled to come to Ann Arbor.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:05 PM ^
I know. More of just a DB does what DB wants to do statement.
September 28th, 2013 at 10:56 PM ^
Miller's not an elite passer, but if we play 7 yards off the recievers like Wisky is doing, he will pick us apart.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:00 PM ^
Part of that is that Ohio hit a couple of deep passes, forcing them to play off a bit
September 28th, 2013 at 10:58 PM ^
There is no defense anymore in college football, and it's ruining the game.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:14 PM ^
What would you call Bama's annihilation of Ole Miss?
September 28th, 2013 at 11:24 PM ^
Why does everyone have to take everything so literally? Sure 'Bama still plays defense, except when they played A&M right? Where was their D that game? I agree with the statement, offense has passed the defenses by and they're not looking back

Yep you have to outscore them, but based on what we've seen tonight from their secondary, that seems possible.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:03 PM ^
The game will be at home, and apparently I'm the only one who hasn't been impressed by Wiscy's defense this game. OSU is a very tough squad, but people (not OP) acting like Meyer is going to own the Big 10 for a decade because they are putting points up against Wisconsin are being a bit reactionary.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:10 PM ^
September 28th, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
That's a tough call, but I think you should go for it there. You're probably going to get the half-yard, and you're two scores down so giving up the ball is dangerous.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:05 PM ^
I agree. You're giving an offense you haven't been able to stop great field position down two scores with 7 minutes left. Bad call imo.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:08 PM ^
I would have gone for it. Plus, your field position isn't going to improve much even if you got a three and out.
September 28th, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
September 28th, 2013 at 11:06 PM ^
So they think they have a better shot at an onside kick rather than converting the 4th down play? Not a good call.
