MSU Red Cedar Board: Will Denard finish the game?
Sparty fans speculating that Denard won't be able to finish the game. Time for another bounty investigation, this time by the NCAA.

just give me such hope for humanity. Nothing classier than wishing injury on a guy like Denard.

C'mon, they don't have "fans"... only students or alumni!
October 21st, 2012 at 4:46 PM ^
They do not have any fans. No one cares about them.

I'll never forget the game last year against Ohio. I had two guys behind me screaming "hurt him!", every single time Denard touched the ball. Sparty and Ohio are in the same trash can as far as I"m concerned.

That is exactly what I was thinking the entire time. They were pretty serious about it too.

i think you missed the /s

the statement is obvious enough

Sorry... this line of argument drives me crazy.
October 19th, 2012 at 10:16 PM ^
I find that hard to believe unless you were sitting in the Ohio section...and even then I kind of doubt it. Personally, I have never seen Ohio fans do anything like that (except maybe in the 90's). Sparty fans are a different story...like the weather in Hawaii, if you haven't seen them do something classless, wait 10 minutes.

unless the refs do their fucking job early.
October 20th, 2012 at 12:41 AM ^
game where I hope the refs keep the flags are the ready. We dont need any "let the boys play" attitude. moo u is so dirty. marky mark and his henchmen.
state is an aweful school. I cant imagine the players being proud of their team, school or coach.
October 20th, 2012 at 1:09 AM ^
There is nothing awe inspiring about that piece of shit of an institution.
October 20th, 2012 at 10:04 AM ^
We'll see if the Big Ten refs came here with a plan to control the game or whether they let it get completely out of hand like last year. They need to be ready to eject guys if necessary.
October 19th, 2012 at 9:14 PM ^
how pissed would you be if you were a michigan state player that you have so many horrible fans like these people. I think they enjoy making their teams and university look bad. it's in their blood or something.
October 19th, 2012 at 9:40 PM ^
The players are so pissed that they beat the hell out of the fans around campus on an annual basis.
October 19th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
And the coaches are so pissed they encourage their players to injure opposing teams' players.

from the few glances around the stands the cameras have afforded during their last games.

AND good fans. I was married to a Sparty a few years back. I finally wised up and booted her, but her parents were totally awesome people. Hard working, honest, decent human beings who supported MSU, but also devoted much time and money to other worthy causes. Exactly the kind of people you'd want as neighbors, assuming you could tolerate the silly green flag.
I hate Sparty, but not all their fans are douches. My ex in laws are great people.
October 20th, 2012 at 9:29 AM ^
I'm going to paraphrase a George Carlin quote: "I hate groups of people, but I love individuals." When someone is acting with a group of people, they aren't necessarily the same as they would be individually. I grew up in the Lansing area and most of the MSU fans that I know are great people. I also traveled to the game at MSU last year and I couldn't be more disappointed with how their fans acted as a whole. And sure, maybe you remember the terrible fans more than you remember the nice ones, but a good proportion of the fans that I saw were assholes to me that day. That having been said, we have some assholes too. I've seen it in our stadium, but I've also seen someone get yelled at by their entire section for shitty behavior before. It was awesome, and I'm glad that a bunch of people realized he was being a douche and made it a point to let him know.

Denard's fortunes from 2010 & 2011 were reversed in 2012.
It only applies to teams that use green on (at least some) of their uniforms.
October 19th, 2012 at 9:25 PM ^
Honestly, it's a valid question.
Hoke may want to save Denard for the Nebraska game once we're up 31 after 3 quarters.
October 19th, 2012 at 9:26 PM ^
Go blue! Fuck state.
October 19th, 2012 at 11:50 PM ^
Well the play of Michigan State exemplifies it, too. They seem to revel in dirty hits, trash talking, unsportsmanlike conduct, and an overall lack of discipline. The example of bad sportsmanship and deliberate disrespect comes from the coach, through the players, and out to the fanbase. Not surprised fans openly celebrate intent to injure as well. It's just another baby step from where they are. They want a Spartan to end Denards college career "on a clean hit, of course." Why stop there? They've already debased themselves. They're already trash. It's funny to watch them try and dress it up as somehow acceptable.
October 20th, 2012 at 12:50 AM ^
Remember last year when one of the safeties from MSU came out and said they were going to try to hurt Russell Wilson, then on the first play of the game, Montee Ball put his shoulder down and injured said MSU safety trying to make the play? That team is trash. The fanbase is trash. I hope we fucking dominate them.
October 19th, 2012 at 9:28 PM ^
is that they are justifying it because Michigan fans are saying that Gholston won't finnish the game.... because he's going to get removed from the field for dirty play.

When your rivals want to get some kind of screen shot of your team's blog message-board, because they think that moderators and any supervising adults will be horribly embarassed, you gotta figure something's going wrong.
I do hope that the whole thing can be preserved for posterity. Somebody copy it before they lock it and delete it.
