As a Packers fan i am pleased. As a fan of being reminded some conferences suck more than the B1G, I will miss you Rutgers and USF

For what it's worth though, it apparently comes with basic cable in DC, but I just moved here so I didn't realize it. I'll trade it for BTN though.

It's too bad Pollack had to have a career ending injury and that Palmer couldn't have made a career out of reality television because I hate listening to them.

I watched the first quarter of USF-Rutgers and it dawned on me that some offenses try to take it to the house, but B.J. Daniels so far is more along the lines of "If I can just get it to the 30 or so and Bonani can kick it from there..."

The Cee Lo number was abominable.

It might not be top notch football, but it beats a MAC game on Thursday night.

Has anyone seen the new John Clayton Sports Center commercial? I still don't know how to embed video with the new site so here is the link.

THAT was awesome. Thanks for the link.

Saw it a few days ago, hands down the greatest SC commercial ever. I watched it like 5 times the first day I saw it.

Steiner's Y2K commercial is my favorite. I realize many of you were barely sentient back then, but Y2K was a big deal, at least in anticipation.

Charlie takes over at 0:48...

I thought that was hilarious. Clayton is showing some impressive range there. :)

IMO too many of those Sports Center commercials are like modern-day Doonesbury comics. You can see the humor, but they're just not that good.

Im amazed at how much I think I know from playing video games.
Like, why the fuck is Mike Tice calling play action against heavy blitzes when the Bears haven't established the run yet?
September 13th, 2012 at 9:04 PM ^
oh that was Mike Tice. i was wondering why Clark Griswald was calling plays for the Bears.

Rutgers had USF at 2nd and 29 thanks to USF trying to set a record for longest 1st down ever, and the Rutgers secondary chooses that moment to develop hysterical blindness. Awesome.
September 13th, 2012 at 8:56 PM ^
USF is a dirty program and Rutgers is in New Jersey . . . Seems almost like an ND/MSU Asteroid rooting game. I'm going to hold my nose & say "Go Chrome-Domes"!

Yes, I'm watching this awful Big East game instead of the Packers/Bears game. I wish I liked the NFL more than I do, but I just can't sit and watch any NFL game like I can with NCAA. It's just not as fun. I'm just a CFB junky and I can't help myself. I can't wait for Saturday...coming from Cleveland to tailgate and then going to the game.

I might be wrong, but Rutgers probably used that last TO to discuss the idea that the FG strategy might be an awesome strategy and they should perhaps attempt to mimic it.

Looks like I may have jumped the gun with Cobb starting him this week in FFB. He hasn't had a single ball thrown his way this game (nor been on the field much). My league rewards return yards a bit, so there is that hope...
September 13th, 2012 at 9:14 PM ^
He injured his shoulder (possibly dislocated according to my doctorwife)
September 13th, 2012 at 9:33 PM ^
Nah he has still been returning kicks and just got his first catch. They just havent been using him as much as last week in the passing game. Looked like he just had a minor stinger to me from his body language (and from playing football) and from the fact he has been playing.
EDIT: And there he goes with the long run too! Like that reverse jinx I pulled there?
September 13th, 2012 at 9:34 PM ^
The team doctor was testing his shoulder on the sideline after he took a hit to the shoulder. He probably just hit it really hard but he was being tested for a dislocated shoulder (which is why they were testing the shoulder). Obviously he is fine, obviously the test was negative. just passing along the info.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually bored watching this college game. I normally watch as many games as possible because I like CFB more than anything, but damn, this game is freaking terrible.
September 13th, 2012 at 9:32 PM ^
You shut your mouth when you talk bad about CFB!!!
September 13th, 2012 at 9:42 PM ^
I know, but, but, but, but....this game is really bad. The only thing I can hope for his overtime, as that would redeem this game.
September 13th, 2012 at 9:26 PM ^
The Bears OL looks.....bad.
It looks like the Bears went the Millen route. Signe skill players, don't address the OL, and use an OL coach as your OC. Brilliance.

Alright, I know I am among people with CFB problems. Be honest, who else here has been peaking at the Mississippi Valley State and Southern University game too?
Be honest...
