two MORE commits may be coming
Forums: Two more commits coming!http://bit.ly/xXF2y9 #goblue
per scout twitter, i guess we can only get commits in even numbers
update: there seems to be some confusion whether this is just referring to Dawson/Lewis or two newer ones, but the above tweet was posted almost an hour after the tweet announcing the CT teammates, so take that FWIW but I think it will be making it 6.

How many lumps -- or should I say, whupknots -- do you want today?
Maybe. . . .SIX.

Man, this is insanity. I turned on my computer at 4:00 to see who the lone commit was for today. I saw the "Hello: Jourdan Lewis" post and was very happy with the pick-up. Then I scroll down and see we actually landed three other four-star recruits. Now we could have two more coming within a week! Definitely the best day for Michigan recruiting that I've experienced.

If anybody else commits today, I'm going to need surgery for carpal tunnel.

Stop looking at Kate Upton pictures and you'll be fine

I've had to change my boxers 4 times today....and I mean that in the least creepy way possible.

All I know is that if we get two more commitments today, then the person who committed first today (Bosch) won't even have his Hello post on the front page.
Dang.

the Shane Morris effect
February 18th, 2012 at 5:02 PM ^
Now let's hope Shane Morris can have an effect on some top-notch receivers...
February 18th, 2012 at 5:16 PM ^
Shane wasn't even on campus when the 4 committed, he just tweeted like 15 minutes ago that he was heading to Ann Arbor. So maybe he can get us a couple more commits tonight.

Over/under for us completing our 2013 class is set at 11:31 pm tonight
February 18th, 2012 at 5:25 PM ^
What's the over/under on us completing the 2013 class before Kozan emerges from his vision quest?
February 18th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
Vegas has taken that bet off the board since us finishing 2013 before Kozan commits anywhere is a given.

1,000,000.
I don't think you understand how gambling works.

If Michigan gets 2 (or probably even 1) more commitment today, it will have the #1 recruiting class in the country, at least according to 247 (no one else has updated their rankings). http://247sports.com/Team/Ranking
February 18th, 2012 at 5:35 PM ^
Those rankings really illustrate the ridiculousness of how 247 does its rankings. They just add each player's rating, paying no attention at all to average quality. That means that Florida State (5 commits), with one 4-star and four 3-stars, is ranked well ahead of Ohio State (4 commits), with one 5-star and three 4-stars. Worse, Kansas State (2 commits), with one 2-star and one unrated kid, is ranked ahead of Oregon (1 commit), with one 5-star.
That will even out a bit as the class sizes grow, but that's an awful way of ranking teams.
February 18th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
Sorry, i meant to include FWIW in the title. Obviously there is subjectivity with all recuiting rankings, but the point to be made is we have a blend of quality and quantity with our recruits thus far that is almost unmatched.

No, thanks for posting the link. I didn't mean to criticize your post at all - just making a more general observation.

Excellent quote from an excellent movie. Unfortunately, I also sounds like the onset of bipolar disorder. Don't let it get you, brother.

Someone please post the Bart Scott Can't Wait clip. I would do it but don't know how to embed on the board.

Is there a how to section on this blog?
February 18th, 2012 at 7:31 PM ^
Then type: thelink
The most common mistake is that people don't click the 'use old embed code' button on the YouTube end of the operation. This sight doesn't support the new format.
