Minor Dunn Update: Just talked to Meyer
November 29th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
If this is how he really feels he shouldn't come here. I don't mean to be rude or to say I don't want a guy who is not all in but if he really wants to go somewhere else he should for himself. I would love to have him and I think he would do great here but he shouldnt choose us if he, in his gut, really wants to be elsewhere. Still though Go Blue Dunn! Hopefully your heart will feel the same way as your head someday.

I'm confused...I thought the spread couldn't work in the Big Ten.
November 29th, 2011 at 9:14 AM ^
Maybe RichRod can give him a call tonight
November 28th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
I do think he will be BLUE and so will ohio.......LMAO
November 28th, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
Since he talked to Urban he has changed his twitter picture from one with ohio gear on to one of him on his Michigan official...just sayin.
November 29th, 2011 at 12:05 AM ^
He changed that earlier. It's been that pic since at least this afternoon, and the Meyer conversation only happened an hour ago or so.
November 29th, 2011 at 12:10 AM ^
it is a little weird that Ondre Pipkins has taken to Twitterp to ask UM brethren to lay off the Twitter onslought of Brionte. Let's take it down a notch, fellas.
November 29th, 2011 at 12:16 AM ^
Looking at Twitter is kind of creeping, the only reason I knew was because Sam Webb retweeted one of Bri'onte's tweets and I noticed. I'm sure he'll make the right choice, whatever that may be for him.
November 29th, 2011 at 7:01 AM ^
If one on you nerds are tweeting him encouraging him to come, I will not hesitate to go threat level midnight on your ass.
/internet tough guy
//hard decision is hard
/// slashies
November 29th, 2011 at 3:01 PM ^
"go threat level midnight on your ass" mean? (For the record, I don't even have a twitter account)
November 29th, 2011 at 12:08 AM ^
Visiting Michigan twice, having M commits in his ear and twitter all day, better system for him in the long run - looks like Hoke and Mattison have the kitty in the bag
November 29th, 2011 at 12:10 AM ^
He even changed his tweeter avatar from OHio gear to Bighouse scene. Like
November 29th, 2011 at 12:09 AM ^
Ondre Pipkins just tweeted this: "Attention all #UM #GoBlue fans let Brionte have sum space I'm sure he will make the right decision So let him be for a bit RT if understood"
November 29th, 2011 at 12:29 AM ^
I know we're excited about landing a top recruit, but this is still just a kid trying to make the biggest decision of his young life. Give him space .. his decision will come soon.
GO BLUE!
November 29th, 2011 at 12:52 AM ^
It's not easy to speak out like that. Cheers to him. Although I love recruiting news, we should let the dice fall first.
November 29th, 2011 at 12:23 AM ^
OK this kid is approaching "OVERRECRUITED MEDIA DARLING"... ooh let me tweet this syndrome.
So at this point, if Michigan "lost" this kid to Meyer and co....
I would not mind. ...not at all. They can have another Pryor situation.
November 29th, 2011 at 12:31 AM ^
It's sort of a big decision and possible change.
November 29th, 2011 at 1:15 AM ^
Dude... It's not his fault people feel the need to break out the Rosetta Stone for every word he says
November 29th, 2011 at 12:27 AM ^
November 29th, 2011 at 12:29 AM ^
I think every kid believes in this. Guy went from walk on to possibly captain next season.
Tremendous!
November 29th, 2011 at 12:46 AM ^
Hoke is really changing the tide of the rivalry..
November 29th, 2011 at 9:41 AM ^
*crickets* Were you looking for a specific response?

November 29th, 2011 at 9:07 AM ^
Still an espn anyalyst
November 29th, 2011 at 1:09 AM ^
Gotta love our recruits doin some recruiting of their own.
November 29th, 2011 at 3:58 AM ^
I like where your heads at.
November 29th, 2011 at 7:46 AM ^
That would be something if he could come in and be better than Toussaint (+ 10 pounds) next year.
November 29th, 2011 at 8:32 AM ^
Fitz is my guy next year. 1000 yards. 1-0 as a starter against osu. I hope we land BD but we have to go back to developing players so that they are primed and ready when needed. That's why the QB situation is perfect. Denard will have a strong senior year, than Devin tears it up for two years welcoming in SM.

November 29th, 2011 at 8:52 AM ^
Fitz missed a game this year (ND) and was notoriously injury prone last season.
Is Wellman the key to keeping him healthy or was this season "lucky"? I don't know. What I do know - we need Dunn to come in and be the backup in case Toussaint gets hurt again.
There will be issues next year with some position groups (DL mainly), but think about all the weapons at our disposal:
SR Denard, JR Toussaint, SR Stonum, SR Roundtree, JR Gallon.... I mean... wow. If you add Brionte into that mix? In the 2nd year of Borges? I think we'll score 35 a game.
November 29th, 2011 at 10:10 AM ^
You're leaving out a key component to any offense. The O-line, losing Molk will hurt badly.
November 29th, 2011 at 10:26 AM ^
Sam Webb just tweeted that Brionte was impressed by Meyer.
Understandable under any circumstances. I'm sure the kid's head is swimming with confusion right now.
November 29th, 2011 at 10:33 AM ^
He's a great recruiter. He also seems to be willing to play a little fast-and-loose with the truth with recruits, so he's less hemmed in than other coaches.
November 29th, 2011 at 11:15 AM ^
"You'll be my first 1,000 yard rusher. I'm a Big10 guy originally and I know you have to have a power running game to be sucessful. Right now, that's the one component I'm missing in the running backs we have. Hope you're ready to play a lot as a freshman....blah, blah, blah"
If that doesn't work: "Tim Tebow told me you should go to Ohio State."
November 29th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
Lucky for him he never stays in one area for too long. Lying to recruits works great at first, but when you go back to recruit the younger brother or another recruit playing for the same coach you might find yourself walking into closed doors.
Maybe Dunn would be well advised to try to talk to one of the six 4-stars from the list of Meyer RB recruits upthread? find out if they heard the same story and how it worked out when they got to UF?
December 11th, 2011 at 9:34 AM ^
Chartie Wies short term stays: ND, Kansas (NFL), UF and Kansas(CFB).
Urban Myer short term stays: Ohio, Utah, UF (leaves program in shambles), ESPN and Ohio.
Both of these quality coaches seem to move around a lot. Will they remain at their respective programs and develop continuity? Or will they pack up and leave the program in 2-4 years? In business, those who have moved around, continue to move around. Each recruit should consider this possibility before committing.
On the other hand, Brady Hoke coached at Ball State for 6 years, before upgrading to San Diego State, which was informed from the start that he would take the Michigan job, if and when offered. Brady Hoke will be here for a very long time.
Just a thought.

November 29th, 2011 at 12:40 PM ^
Because he was having such a hard time recruiting at Florida! Jebus...Well, whatever happens with Dunn, we're just going to have to get used to losing some recruits to Meyer's bullsh*t.
November 29th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
How do you know the extent of their conversation? I'm just curious.
November 29th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
November 29th, 2011 at 4:56 PM ^
As someone who is counting down the days til I can move back to Michigan from Ohio, I don't trust any Buckeye fan until I have at least 2 corroborating sources who are not Buckeye fans.
November 29th, 2011 at 10:42 AM ^
Everyone seems so sure that we're going to migrate to a pro-style passing offense after this year where the RB handles the bulk of the carries. But is there a chance Borges falls in love with running QB's after this year and starts recruting Russel Wilson/RGIII types going forward?
November 29th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
Well we already have Shane Morris, so we've seemingly committed to pro-style. Honestly though, I don't mind pro-style as long as the QB can move. It's the statutes I'm afraid of, which Morris kind of reminds me of, regardless of how great his arm may be.
November 29th, 2011 at 4:58 PM ^
Look up video of Shane Morris hurdling a defender. Your fears are unfounded.
